In mobile wireless network efficient location management for tracking and finding mobile users is a critical issue. The traffic for location update can be excessive, especially at the base stations that are near to the location area (LA) boundaries. In this paper we propose a new location update scheme which can significantly reduce the signaling traffic for location update. It is based on the virtual layer approach employing SubMSCs. The virtual layer is laid upon the original layer of LAs such that the mobile terminals moving around the boundary cells of adjacent LAs become to move within a virtual LA. As a result, the location update traffic is substantially reduced compared to overlapping scheme which is the most recent and efficient location update scheme.

The purpose of this study is to analyse the patterns of advanced Japanese learners' speech blunders while using Skype and to make pedagogical recommendations. The error patterns of 2,947 words of learners' utterances were studied. As a result, grammatical errors were the most common, accounting for 34 cases, followed by vocabulary errors (26 cases), pronunciation faults (22 cases), and discourse errors (4 cases). This demonstrates that, first and foremost, it is still influenced by mother language interference. Second, there were many errors in vocabulary due to similar vocabulary. Third, the two languages with the greatest grammatical errors were those with similar grammatical systems.

Large quantities of fertilizers and water requirements are obstacles for economic and sustainable production of biofuels from microalgae. Seawater can provide both nutrients and water, so using seawater for microalgae cultivation can decrease the microalgal biofuel production cost. However, seawater contains total suspended solids (TSSs) which could affect the microalgal biomass productivity. In this study, the effect of TSSs in natural seawater from West Sea on microalgal biomass productivity of a marine microalga, Tetraselmis sp. KCTC12429BP was investigated. TSSs were collected from seawater of Yeongheung Island, Incheon, and were added to artificial seawater with f/2-Si medium with and without sterilization. Sterilized TSSs decreased 11% of overall biomass productivity, while non-sterilized TSSs decreased biomass productivity by 17%. This result suggest that TSSs include microbes that negatively affect microalgal biomass productivity. Thus, when using natural seawater for microalgal cultivation, simple and cheap methods to eliminate the inflow of TSSs need to be implemented.
한국어 교육에서의 어휘 교육 방안 -어종과 의미 관계를 중심으로-

본 연구의 목적은 한국어 교육에서 어종과 의미 관계에 따 른 어휘 교육 방안을 제시하고자 하는 데에 있다. 현재 어휘 교육은 과목과 교재, 교수 전략이 부족한 편이다. 이에 본고에서는 어휘 교육 현황을 살펴보고, 어휘 교수 이론과 전략을 정리하였다. 어휘는 한국 어 교육에서 기본이 되는 어종에 따른 고유어, 한자어, 외래어. 의미 관계에 따른 유의어와 반의어, 다의어와 동음어, 상하위어로 분류하였 다. 교육 방안은 각 어휘 특성과 상황에 맞게 의미 발견 전략, 기억 강화 전략 등을 활용하였다. 한국어 어휘 교육의 필요성을 확인하고 어종과 의미 관계에 따라 교육 방안을 제시했다는 점에서 의의를 가 진다. The purpose of this study is to organize and categorize the composition of word contents for Korean vocabulary education in systemic group. The results of this study are summarized as follows: Firstly, word contents for Korean vocabulary is subdivided based on word type and semantic relation. Particles and affixes are excluded according to Korean Language Curriculum, Secondly, vocabulary education based on word type is analyzed into Pure-Korean words education for fluent conversation, Sino-Koreans word for professional vocabulary expansion and Loanwords education which is on the rise due to diversification of cultural contacts. Lastly, In order to make it easier to understand the meaning of words, the vocabulary is organized by dividing it into synonym and antonymous relation(oppositive relation), polysemy and homonymous relation, hypernym and hyponym depending on the semantic relation. Therefore, it establishes the word contents structure in Korean education by linking the correlation that the vocabulary has.
Effect of CO<sub>2</sub> supply condition on microalgal growth in a bubble column photobioreactor

Recently, microalgae have been considered as an important feedstock for the production of biofuels. The cost of CO<sub>2</sub> in large-scale algal culture is of prime importance to the total economics. The necessity to have huge amounts of CO<sub>2</sub> readily available enforces the use of flue gases as carbon source. However, some microalgae cannot use flue gas directly, because power plant flue gas contains a higher concentration of CO<sub>2</sub>. In this study, we focused on finding the conditions for the microalgae to grow without growth retardation under high CO<sub>2</sub> partial pressure. As a result, the ratio of HCO<sub>3</sub> <sup>-</sup> supply rate to HCO<sub>3</sub> <sup>-</sup> consumption rate determined culture pH and the microaglae showed similar specific growth rate of 0.98 day<sup>-1</sup> within adequate pH levels regardless of CO<sub>2</sub> partial pressure. This study provide strategy for using flue gas directly at microalgae culture by adjusting the ratio of HCO<sub>3</sub> <sup>-</sup> supply rate to HCO<sub>3</sub> <sup>-</sup> consumption rate.

Microalgae are one of the promising feedstocks for production of biodiesel to replace fossil fuels. Cultivation of marine microalgae using seawater can substantially reduce freshwater consumption in microalgal biofuels production. Seawater can contain various biological contaminants that may decrease algal biomass and fatty acid productions. In this study, use of hypersaline culture medium for preventing contamination in the culture of Tetraselmis sp. MBEyh04Gc (KCTC12432BP) was investigated. Culture media with different salinities were prepared by addition of sodium chloride to natural seawater, and the microalgae were cultivated in 400-mL bubble column photobioreactors. Increased salinity not only prevented contamination, but also increased fatty acid contents and biomass productivity. The highest fatty acid productivity,22.4 mg/L/d, was obtained with 80 PSU. The results of this study indicate that increasing the salinity could be an effective method to control contamination in microalgal biomass production.
