This paper studies on the control techniques through design requirementsd of marine fire fighting system based on SOLAS, IMO regulation, FSS code and relevant class society. Fire fighting system refers as fixed gas fire-extinguishing system, fixed foam fire extinguishing systems, fixed water-mist fire extinguishing system, automatic sprinkler, fire detection and alarm system, sample extraction smoke detection system, fixed deck foam system, inert gas system and external fire fighting system etc. Especially, using control techniques, an effective extinguishing principle details in a view of mechanical structure, manufacturing and electric control based on the schematic diagram. It is also shown from control techniques that more compact, safe and easy control is introduced comparing PLC logic with relay based sequential logic. Moreover, through the mechanical structure, it is shown from relevant main components of each system in order to make more effective extinguishing. In result, it is expected that the enhanced control techniques has the better extinguishing effective performances and product quality and reliability.

Steel is one of the highest tensile strength materials among the tire reinforcing materials. However, due to its high specific gravity, the breaking strength per unit weight is lower than most textile reinforcing materials. This weight disadvantage can be offset by the higher strength/volume ratio of steel cord. Therefore, steel cord is a good candidate for the carcass of radial truck tire. Fatigue resistance and fretting fatigue resistance are very important properties for the steel cord in the application of tire carcass, where tensile stress and bending stress are possible loading conditions. This is why the severe under-inflated and/or overloaded services can cause cord fatigue fracture in the truck tire carcass. In this paper, we suggest an approach to estimating the fatigue life of the steel cords used in tires using the finite element method.

The purpose of this study is to expand rehabilitation facilities for senior citizens. The subject of this study is senior citizens aged 70-85 who retire and need care and interest. This study focuses on senior citizens who need psychological and emotional treatment apart from physical aging. This study places an emphasis on planning indoor space by examining problems with treatment center for senior citizens and seeking a solution to the problems. Indoor space plan is drawn by analyzing space and completing imperfection based on cases of center which introduced play psychotherapy. When examining four treatment centers for senior citizens at home, it was revealed that their operation method varies significantly depending on center"s financial condition. It has been found that the treatment centers for senior citizens are unsatisfactory and do not have special facilities which are suitable for treatment programs. It has been revealed that programs are implemented in common use space in the treatment centers for senior citizens. It is necessary to establish play psychotherapy in treatment centers for senior citizens. In addition, it is necessary to make a plan to create room so that each play psychotherapy can be effective.

Low vibration and high operating speed of the spindle motor are essential to achieve high memory capacity of computer hard disk drives. These requirements can be accomplished by using the fluid dynamic bearings (FDBs) with high dynamic performance and low friction torque. This research derives the modified Reynolds equation to solve the static and dynamic characteristics of the FDBs with both rotating and stationary grooves, and it is solved by using the finite element method and the cavitation algorithm. The proposed method is numerically validated by comparing the results of the proposed method with those of the prior researches which have either rotating grooves or stationary grooves. This research proposes the FDBs with rotating and stationary grooves at the same time, and it shows that the proposed model has less friction torque and high dynamic performance.
