Desert targets for solar channel calibration of geostationarysatellites in the East Asia - Australian region were selected and theirqualities were assessed with aid of Moderate Resolution ImagingSpectroradiometer data (i.e., white-sky surface albedo, aerosol opticalthickness, and cloud fraction) from 2002 to 2008. The magnitude,spatial uniformity, and temporal stability of the white-sky surfacealbedo are examined in order to select bright and stable targets. Subsequentlythose selected targets over China, India, and Australia arefurther checked for their qualities in terms of data yielding ratio,aerosol optical thickness, cloud fraction, satellite viewing angle, andsolar zenith angle. Results indicate that Chinese targets are found tobe not adequate as calibration targets in spite of excellent surfaceconditions because of high percentage of cloud, possibly heavyaerosol loading, and lower solar elevation angle in particular duringwinter time. Indian site should be take care about relatively high temporalvariation of surface condition and heavy aerosol loading. Onthe other hand, Australian desert targets are considered to be bestwhen surface brightness, spatial and temporal stability, data yieldingratio, aerosol, and cloud are counted.
투과광 스펙트럼 측정법을 이용한 링레이저 공진기의 광학적 정렬

Several methods of aligning ring type cavities have been investigated for long time. The measurement of cavity transmission spectrum control is somewhat effective due to aligning cavity with measuring cavity loss at the same time. In this research, four mirrors are aligned and attached by the measurement of pulse width of the transmitted light. The intracavity loss is optimized to about 0.98%, giving the calculated total reflection coefficient of about 99.02%. 링 레이저 공진기를 광학적으로 정렬하는 방법은 여러 가지가 있지만, 투과광 스펙트럼 측정법(cavity transmission spectrum control)은 측정이 매우 간단하고 공진기의 손실을 측정하면서 동시에 정렬을 할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 투과광 스펙트럼 측정법을 이용한 공진기의 광학적 정렬 장치를 구성하여, 레이저 자이로스코프에 사용할 링형 공진기에 모두 네 개의 반사경을 정렬 부착시켰으며, 동시에 정렬한 공진기의 내부 손실 값을 측정했다. 그 결과 최소 내부 손실은 0.98%였으며, 네 개의 반사경에 대한 총 반사 계수는 99.02%로 계산된다.
