A key factor that influences the extractability in the predispersed solvent extraction (PDSE) is the stability of colloidal liquid aphrons (CLAs). The stability of CLAs is important in application of CLAs to the reactive extraction of succinic acid in fermentation broth. CLAs were formulated from a TOA/1- Octanol solvent phase. Trioctylamine (TOA) was used as extractant and 1-Octanol was used as diluent. Water soluble surfactant for preparing CLAs was sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate (SDBS) and oil soluble surfactant was Tergitol 15-S-3. Stability of CLAs was measured by UV spectrophotometer. In this work, the effect of composition of organic solvent was measured to optimize solvent composition in column PDSE, and the effect of pH and ion species of continuous aqueous phase was investigated for application to fermentation broth.

Rates and mechanism of succinic acid extraction with tri-n-octylamine were investigated using a microporous membrane-based cell. The contribution of diffusional resistance to the overall extraction kinetics was eliminated. Intrinsic rate equation and a possible reaction mechanism for the formation and dissociation of the acid-amine complexes were obtained.
Graphitic carbon nitride: Synthesis, properties, and application in photocatalysis

Carbon nitrides (C3N4) are, in the ideal case, organic compounds consisted of alternating carbon and nitrogen atoms. Among the various allotropes ranging from molecules to solid state C/N phases, of particular interest is the graphitic form or its polymeric derivatives (g-CN) featuring intrinsic stability and electronic structures superior to the conventional transition metal oxides, sulfides and nitrides counterparts. In this talk, I will briefly describe our recent efforts to advance the metal-free polymer, how chemical and electronic structures can be simultaneously optimized and how the polymer can be textured in order to make it more efficient for photocatalytic applications. I will focus on 1) molecular cooperative assembly leading to morphology development and anisotropic, collective interactions and 2) ionothermal synthesis using eutectic mixtures of alkali metal halides allowing synergistic optimization of bandgap and charge recombination.

생체 인식 기술 중 얼굴 인식과 눈동자 인식을 활용하여 기존의 얼굴 인식 내지 지문 인식만을 사용했을 때 보다 좀 더 인터렉티브한 인증 환경을 제공함으로써 복사한 이미지를 이용해 인증 체계를 회피할 수 있는 가능성을 줄였다.
