        WTO 체제하에서 육계경영의 장래가 지극히 불투명하고 우려하는 가운데 금후의 경영확대 여부에 대해서는 확대를 계획하고 있는 농가의 비율은 소규모, 중규모가 많았으며 대규모경영은 현상유지를 나타내고 있었다. 투자 계획 중에서 구체적으로는 「계분 처리시설 확충」 「자동화 설비」 「완전계사」외에 규모확대를 위한 계사확장 등이 있으며 그 밖에 발전기, 단열시설, 환풍기보강, 온조센서 등 계사 내부시설을 강화하려고 하는 농장이 많았다. 신기술의 도입계획 중에서 열거해보면 자가발효사료 생산이용을 고려 중, 깔짚의 재활용, 생산비 절감 기법도입, 무창계사, 계사의 위생관리기술 등 각 농장의 경영자 자신의 과제를 해결해 보려는 노력이 엿보였다. Survey questionnaires were collected. from broiler farmers and analysed in this study to find out ways to respond to the open international chicken trades-chicken marketing plan and market price control. Broiler farm production and management were analyzed and it was found that number of chicken produced. per farm was related. to systematic and strategic level of farming such as chicken housing, technical problems, and cost of production.

        Effects of vitamin E and selenium (Selevit) on the orchidectomized rats

        The present study was devised to determine the effects of body weight, organ weight, hematological values and biochemical parameters by vitamin E and selenium (Selevit) on the Orch rats. The animals were divided into 4 groups. Intact group (n=10) received no treatment and operation. Sham group (n=10) received only sham operation and no treatment. Orch group received operation and no treatment. Orch+Selevit received operation and Selevit. The body weights of each group increased, but that of the Orch+Selevit group were significantly lower than in all the other groups. There were significant differences (P<0.001) of body weights between Orch+Selevit group and all the other groups. Also, organ weights such as heart, liver, spleen and kidney were measured. The heart weights were significantly lower (P<0.001) in the Orch+Selevit group than in Intact and Sham group. The liver weights in the Orch+Selevit group showed significant differences (P<0.001) in comparison with those in the Intact and Sham groups. The kidney weights in the Orch+Selevit group were significantly different (P<0.01, P<0.001) in comparison with those in all the other groups. On the other hand, there were no significant differences in the organ weights of the spleen between the Orch+Selevit groups and any other groups. The number of WBC was significantly higher (P<0.05) in the Orch+Selevit group than in the all other groups. The hematological values of RBC, MCV, MCH and MCHC resulted in no significant differences in any groups. The concentrations of serum total protein, albumin and alkaline phosphatase increased significantly (P<0.05, P<0.01) in the Orch+Selevit group as compared to that in the Orch group. However, there were no significant differences in AST and ALT in any other groups. We conclude that Selevit was significantly decreased the body weight in the orchidectomized rats. Our findings suggest that Selevit may influence the process of lipid packaging and absorption in the orchidectomized rats.

        만성설사를 보이는 생후 4개월령의 한우 암컷 송아지에서 도체탕의 치료효과

        This study was carried out to evaluate the effects of Dochetang for the treatment of chronic diarrhea in a 4 months-old-female Korean native calf. The calf was presented to the Wow Animal Clinic, Iksan with the history of chronic diarrhea for several weeks. The feces test did not reveal the presence of the parasites or microbes causing diarrhea in calf. The blood test was also negative to the virus that causes of diarrhea in calf. Adminstration of parenteral antibiotics resulted in improvement of the condition temporarily but diarrhea was recurred again after 2-3 weeks. Then the calf was treated with Dochetang administered orally once a day in an empty stomach for 15 days. Feces was significantly reduced in moisture on 7 days after initial treatment. On 9 days after initial treatment, the calf had normal appetite and defecation in physiological conditions. Blood samples were collected before administration and on 1, 2 and 3 weeks after initial administration of Dochetang for hematology and biochemistry. A significantly differences were observed in the white blood cell (WBC), mean corpuscular volume (MCV), mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH), mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC), albumin (ALB), glutamic pyrubic transaminase (GPT), inorganic phosphorus (IP) and magnesium (Mg), while no significant differences were seen in the red blood cell (RBC), hemoglobin (Hb), hematocrit (HCT), platelet (PLT), glucose (Glu), total protein (T-pro), glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase (GOT), blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and creatine (CRE). This study suggests that Dochetang administration can be a successful alternative therapeutic agent in instead of antibiotics for the treatment of chronic diarrhea in calves.

The body weights of each group increased, but that of Orch+Testos group was significantly lower in Orch+Testos group than in all the other groups. There were significant differences (P⁄0.05, P⁄0.001) of body weights between Orch+Testos group and all the other groups. Also, organ weights such as heart, liver, spleen and kidney were measured. The heart weights were significantly lower (P⁄0.001) in the Orch+Testos group than in all the other groups. The liver weights in the Orch+Testos group were significantly differences in comparison with those in the Sham (P<0.001) and Orch group (P⁄0.05). On the other hand, there were no significantly differences in the organ weights of spleen and kidney between the Orch+Testos group and the any other groups. The hematological values of white blood cell (WBC), red blood cell (RBC), mean corpuscular volume (MCV), mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH) and mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC) were no significant differences in any other groups. The concentrations of serum total protein and albumin increased significantly (P⁄0.05) in the Orch+Testos group as compared to that in the Orch group. However, there were no significant differences in Ca, IP and Mg in any other groups. We conclude that testosterone was significantly decreased the body weight in the orchidectomized rats. Our findings suggest that testosterone may influence the process of lipid packaging and absorption in the orchidectomized rats.

        산란계(Dakalbwarren)의 연령에 따른 myeloperoxidase와 leukocyte peroxidase 활성에 관한 연구

        This study was undertaken to measure the activity of myeloperoxidase and leukocyte peroxidase of hen. 70 hens were decapitated to observe the activity of enzymes according to ages. The activity of peroxidase by the Lowry's method with bovine serum albumin as standard. Gel filtration chromatography was carried out of sephacryl S-300 column. The results obtained were summarized as follows; 1. The mean of specific activity of myeloperoxidase and leukocyte peroxidase was 16.80(units/mg) and 15(units/mg), respectively. 2. The specific activity of myeloperoxidase in 35 days hen was significantly increased and showed almost the same level of activity to 350 days hen. 3. The specific activity of leukocyte peroxidase in 35 days hen was significantly increased and showed a little increased tendency from 210 days to 350 days hen. 4. On the sephacryl S-300 column chromatography, two separated peaks of myeloperoxidase activity were observed. The molecular weights of myeloperoxidase were 57,000 dalton and 13,700 dalton.

        PTWS를 적용한 웨어러블 AMOLED용 고집적화3-채널 DC-DC 변환기 설계

        본 논문에서는 PTWS 방식을 이용한 고집적화된 AMOLED용 3-채널 DC-DC 변환기의 설계한다. 양의 전압 는 경부하에서 효율을 제고하기 위해 SPWM 듀얼모드와 PTWS 방식을 적용한 부스트 변환기로 설계한다. 음의 전압   는 전력손실을 줄이기 위해 PSM 방식을 적용한 0.5x 인버팅 차지펌프를 이용해 설계하고, 추가적인 전압    는 LDO를 이용하여설계한다. 제안된 DC-DC 변환기는 0.18㎛ BCDMOS 공정을 사용하여 시뮬레이션을 한 결과 부하전류 1mA~70mA에서 전력효율 56.9%~90.2%를 가지고, 양의 전압에서 최대 5mV의 출력 리플을 가졌다. In this paper, a highly integrated 3-channel DC-DC converter is designed using power transistor width scaling(PTWS). For positive voltage,  , a boost converter is designed using the set-time variable pulse width modultaion(SPWM) dual-mode and PTWS to improve efficiency at light load. For negative voltage,   , a 0.5 x regulatedinverting charge pump is designed with pulse skipping modulation (PSM) controller to reduce power consumption, andfor an additional positive voltage,    , a LDO circuit is designed. The proposed DC-DC converter has been designedusing a 0.18㎛ BCDMOS process. Simulation results show that the proposed converter has power efficiency of 56%~90%for load current range of 1 mA~70 mA and output ripple voltage less than 5 mV at positive voltage.

The animals were divided into 4 groups. Intact group (n=10) received no treatment and operation. Sham group (n=10) received only sham operation and no treatment. Orch group received operation and no treatment. Orch+Carn received operation and L-carnitine. The body weights of each group increased, but that of the Orch+Carn group were significantly lower than those in all the other groups. There were significant differences (P<0.05, P<0.001) of body weights between Orch+Carn group and all the other groups. Also, organ weights such as heart, liver, spleen and kidney were measured. The heart weights were significantly lower (P<0.001) in the Orch+Carn group than those in Intact and Sham groups, respectively. The weights of liver and kidney in the Orch+Carn group showed significant differences (P<0.001) in comparison with those in all the other groups. Also, the spleen weights were significantly lower (P<0.05) in the Orch+Carn group than those in Intact and Sham groups, respectively. The hematological values of mean corpuscular volume (MCV) and mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH) were significant differences (P<0.05, P<0.01, P<0.001) in comparison with those in all the other groups. On the other hand, the hematological values of white blood cell (WBC), red blood cell (RBC) and mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC) resulted in no significant differences in any other groups. The concentrations of total cholesterol (T-chol), triglyceride (TG) and high density lipoprotein (HDL) decreased significantly (P<0.05) in the Orch+Carn group as compared to those in the Orch group. We conclude that L-carnitine was significantly decreased the body weight in the orchidectomized rats. Our findings suggest that L-carnitine may influence the process of lipid packaging and absorption in the orchidectomized rats.
