This paper presents breakdown characteristics of SF6-N2 mixtures for the lightning and oscillating impulse voltages in nonuniform electric fields. The V-t and V-p characteristics were analyzed as a function of the applied voltage wave shape, polarity and gas pressure. The predischarge in SF6-N2 mixtures for both the positive and negative polarities develops with steplike pulses in leader mechanism. The V-t curves under the negative oscillating impulse voltage in N2(10%)-SF6 mixtures were extended over the longer time ranges. The minimum breakdown voltages for the negative lightning and oscillating impulse voltages were much higher than those for the positive lightning and oscillating impulse voltages owing to strong corona stabilization effects.

Hair casts are firm, yellowish white accretions ensheathing but not attached to the scalp and are freely movable up and down the affected shafts. There are two types of hair casts. The common type is found frequently in association with parakeratotic scalp disorders. The uncommon type, peripilar keratin cast is not associated with any cutaneous abnormality either in the scalp or elsewhere and it develops in young girls aged between 2 and 8 years. We report two cases of peripilar keratin casts that had developed in sisters who have had tightly tied-up their hairs for a long time.

This paper presents the design and calibration methods of self-integrated magnetic filed sensor. Also the distance response measurement of magnetic field produced the transient current and the frequency response measurement are carried out. As the integrating resistance increases, the sensitivity of the sensor is improved, but the decay time constant of response decreases. In addition, experimental results are well agreed with the theoretical analysis of the equivalent circuit.

The present study investigated how much magnetic fields are powerful and how distributed around the DCS area in various experimental conditions. It was intended to be informative about both the appropriate points far disposition of DCS and managing human resources for them. This study used a loop typed magnetic fild sensor to measure the power range and the distribution of magnetic flux density of an experimental DCS closely established to a turbine generator. The result was informative for decision making on establishing DCS system and desirable places for it. And it measured the influence of magnetic fields both to human body and to electric equipments. This measurement was accompanied by the comparative analysis on the relevant standards both at home and abroad. In addition to this, measurements of the intensity of magnetic fields at several places around the DCS were respectively carried out.
