      • 하악과두골절에서 근육과 인대를 통한 기능적인 정복술

        Introduction: Practitioner used 2 different plate fixation after reduction of mandibular condyle fracture. This study was to compare sliding plate between conventional 4 hole plate after condyle fracture reduction. Method and materials: A total of 30 patients were operated for condyle fracture. Group was separated two. Control group operated and fixated 4 hole conventional plate (n=13). Experimental group operated and fixated sliding plate (n=17). Approximately 3~6 month later followed up through panorama & reverse townes view X-ray. In these X-ray, we compared angle of non-fracture opposite side condyle between fracture site condyle. Statistical analyzed with Mann-whitney analysis (P<0.05). Results: Observing through Panoramic X-ray fracture site condyle angle and non-fracture site condyle angle’s difference were 2.1 degree at sliding plate and 7.12 degree at 4 hole conventional plate. In reverse towens view X-ray, fracture site condyle angle and non-fracture site condyle angle’s difference is 13.5 degree at sliding plate and 16.5 degree at 4 hole conventional plate. Conclusion: We suggest using sliding plate to reduce condyle fracture. No significant difference measured changing condyle angle after operation between sliding plate and 4 hole conventional plate in panoramic & reverse townes view.

      • 성견에 있어서 치조제보존술을 위한 치아뼈이식재의 효과

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare histologic evaluation of autogenous and allogenous tooth material on bone-healing response in dog. Materials and Methods: Allogenous tooth biomaterial was grafted in the extraction socket of the premolar region in the left lower jaws and autogenous tooth biomaterial was grafted in the right side after 2 weeks. Three dogs were sacrificed after 4, 8, 12 weeks each for histological evaluation. Results: In the histologic analysis, there were no signigicant differences between group 1 (autogenous tooth bone biomaterial) and group 2 (allogenous tooth bone biomaterial) at 4, 8, 12 weeks. Statistical analysis showed that group 1 was more higher bone volume levels than group 2 at 4 weeks (P⁄0.05, Mann-whitney test). Group 2 showed more higher bone volume levels than group 1 at 8 weeks and group 1 more than group 2 at 12 weeks but that showed no significant differences (P¤0.05, Mann-whitney test). Conclusion: Histologically, autogenous and allogenous tooth biomaterial reveals similar healing patterns in extraction socket in dogs. The result of this study suggested that tooth biomaterials could be useful materials for socket preservation.

        Rigid External Distraction System을 이용한 구순구개열 상악열성장의 치료 후 회귀현상

        Distraction osteogenesis is useful treatment which the gradual separation of cut bone edges results in the generation of new bone. It is effective treatment for correcting maxillofacial deformities. Patients with cleft lip and palate usually have maxillary hypoplasia due to scarring of lip and palate. To correct these deformities, we chose to use a 2-jaw orthognathic surgery or distraction osteogenesis. But despite improvements in surgical techniques for maxillofacial deformities, postoperative stability still leaves the question of when relapse may occur. This case report describes the Relapse after treatment of maxillary hypoplasia with cleft lip and palate by Rigid External distraction system over a 2-year treatment and follow-up period. In addition, we reviewed related articles about the influence of the occlusal stability on postoperative stability in patients with cleft lip and palate correction with Distraction osteogenesis.

        가스 침질탄화처리한 SM35C 강의 기계적 성질에 미치는 고주파�칭의 영향

        Carbon steel(SM35C) was gas nitrocarburized at 580℃ in 55%N₂-40%NH₃-5%CO₂mixed gas atmosphere, and then the steel was induction hardened at 850℃. The microstructure of gas nitrocarburized surface layer was observed by optical microscope and SEM. The phase analysis was carried out by X-ray diffraction method. The mechanical properties of gas nitrocarburized SM35C steel was evaluated by hardness, wear and fatigue test. The thickness of compound and diffusion layer were increased with increasing the gas nitrocarburizing time and the densest compound layer was obtained at 3hours gas nitrocarburizing time. In case of 15sec induction hardening after gas nitrocarburizing, the surface hardness was decreased from 800Hv to 630Hv owing to the decomposition of compound layer, but wear resistance was increased because of increased hardness of diffusion layer. The fatigue strength of induction hardened steel after gas nitrocarburizing, 58㎏f/㎟, was higher than 41.5㎏/㎟ of gas nitrocarburized steel and 45㎏/㎟ of induction hardened steel, respectively.
