A micromixer is an advanced microfluidic device that improves the efficiency of biochemical reactions and diffusion. In this paper, a micromixer is fabricated with a 3D printer, and an experimental study on the slug/bubble flow formation of basic liquid/gas is carried out. The hydraulic diameter of the microchannel is 400. The liquid slug/bubble is investigated with variations of the injection angle. The results show that the velocity and length of the fin slug are determined by the high inertia of the liquid, while the quantitative relation is derived by dimensionless analysis. Based on this relationship, it is possible to accurately predict the flow structure and slug/bubble characteristics of the micromixer in the future. Highly efficient microfluidic devices manufactured by 3D printing technology can be developed using the proposed analysis.

The recent increase in thermal density of electronic components such as integrated circuits requires high efficiency of electronic component cooling systems. This need has led to the need for a heat sink capable of cooling a high heat flux, which has led to the invention of the microchannel heat sink (MCHS). In this study, the flow path was shortened by evenly distributing the working fluid (water) by adding a manifold divider layer to the plane shape and microchannel heat sink with 500 μm and 1000 μm depth. The overall dimensions of the microchannel are 40*40*5 mm. Experiments were performed with the flow rate of the working fluid set to 300 to 1100 mL/min at high heat flux (12.5 to 43.8 W/cm^2). When a plane shape with a smooth surface and a microchannel heat sink of 500 μm were compared with a simple temperature, it was found that the temperature was 20-30% lower in the microchannel of 500 μm than in the plane shape. Based on these experimental studies, it is expected that the optimized shape of the microchannel heat sink of the manifold structure with high efficiency can be derived.
