스테퍼(STEPPER) 트렌드 분석 기법을 통한 미래 예측

In Korea, to follow global trend and keep continuous growth, Korea government has kept doing an foresight research. However, due to have a group bias thinking, hard to see the non-bias future. Furthermore, to foresight future, many people should attend a workshop, and it spends many costs and times. To solve this problem, this thesis introduce a new future foresight method that uses 7 factors, which are Social, Technology, Environment, Politic, Population, Economy and Resource areas, to see futures in present factors. And it analyses the key factor of each issues. After that, it analyses each key factors effects of each other, and finds events that has any possibility in the future. Generally, key factor affects many areas of events. Through this characteristic, STEPPER Trend analysis make regular pattern on key divers and finds future events. From this, it can find non-bias futures, even can foresight non preferable futures. This method can also work alone and easy to foresight futures. 한국은 각 분야에서 변화 하는 패러다임에 대한 신속 대응 및 국가 경쟁력 유지 및 확보를 위해 미래예측 연구를 지속해 왔다. 기존의 미래이슈 발굴을 위한 미래연구 방법들은 미래 예측에 참석한 집단의 편향성 때문에 희망하지 않는 미래를 예측하기에는 한계가 있다. 또한 많은 사람이 참여하여 예측 작업을 진행 하다 보니 시간과 비용이 많이 든다. 본 논문은 이러한 점들을 개선하기 위해 미래를 구조화하고, 현재 이슈들의 미래를 이루는 7가지 요소인 사회, 기술, 환경, 정치, 인구, 경제, 자원으로 분류하여 분석한 다. 그리고 각각의 이슈들이 일어나게 된 핵심 동인을 분석한다. 일반적으로 핵심 동인은 단순히 한 가지 이슈에만 영향을 주는 것이 아니라 다른 이슈들 에도 영향을 준다. 이러한 핵심 동인의 특징을 이용하여 핵심 동인들 간에 정해진 패턴을 확인하고 그에 따른 상호 영향력을 분석한다. 또한 이를 통해, 희망하지 않는 미래까지도 포함한 다양한 이슈들을 예측한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 방법은 혼자서도 간단한 방법으로 미래 예측을 할 수 있다.

우리나라는 자영업자의 비중은 다른 OECD 국가에 비해 상대적으로 높은 수준이며 이들이 설립한 업체의 생존 기간은 다른 업체에 비해 짧게 나타난다. 이는 자영업자들의 잦은 창업과 폐업으로 이어져 고용과 수입의 불안 및 막대한 사회적 비용을 발생시킨다. 음식점은 자영업자들이 쉽게 진입하는 대표적인 업종으로 5년 생존율이 20%에 미치지 못해 생존 기간이 더 짧게 나타나고 있다. 본 연구는 광주광역시의 음식점을 사례로 음식점생존 기간과 교통 접근성 사이의 상관관계를 살피고자 한다. 편리한 입지는 음식점의 매출 향상과 지속적인 운영에 중요한 요소로 꼽혀왔고, 이러한 입지는 높은 수준의 교통 접근성을 의미하기 때문이다. 생존분석을 통해 교통 접근성과 음식점 업종별 영업 기간 사이의 관계를 살펴본 결과 지하철 접근성은 유의미한 관계를 보이지 않았으나 도로 접근성은 생존 기간 연장과 유의미한 상관 관계를 가지고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이는 광주광역시에서 운행 중인 지하철이 활발히 이용되지 않아 이에 대한 접근성이 경제적 의미를 갖기 어려웠던 것으로 해석되는 동시에 다른 지역과의 비교 연구가 필요함을 보여준다. In Korea, the proportion of self-employed and unpaid family workers is relatively higher than other OECD countries and the operation periods of their businesses are generally shorter than others. This indicates frequent startups and closures and thus unstable employment status and income, which inevitably generates huge social costs. Restaurants are a representative business that self-employed workers easily enter and their 5-year survival rate is found to be lower than 20%. This is shorter survival period than other business sectors. This study aims to examine the associations of transport accessibility with restaurants’ survival in Gwangju metropolitan area. Convenient location has been known to be a crucial factor for sales improvements and longer operation and such location is closely linked with good transport accessibility. Results from survival analysis on empirical data show that better access to road networks is significantly associated with longer survival of restaurants though subway accessibility is not. This can be explained by low modal share of subway in the study area and at the same time, requires further case studies where more developed and matured subway systems are in operation.
