        기독교인의 종교적 서사정체성과 영적 웰빙 간 종교성향의 매개효과

        본 연구는 종교적 정체성과 영적 웰빙 사이의 관계와 이 둘 사이의 관계를 매개하는 내재적 종교성향의 역할을 확인하고자 하였다. 121명의 기독교인 참여자들이 영적 웰빙과 종교성향 척도에 응답하였고, 이 후에 자신이 어떻게 그리스도인이 되었는지에 대한 서사문을 작성하였다. 수집된 서사문은 종교적 자기개념의 내면화로 형성된 종교적 정체성 수준에 따라 4명의 코더에 의해 코딩되었다. 그 결과, 서사에 나타난 종교적 정체성은 영적 웰빙과 정적인 관계를 보였으며, 이 관계를 내재적 종교성향이 매개하였다. 추가적으로, 외재적 종교성향도 종교적 정체성과 영적 웰빙 사이의 관계를 매개하였다. 이 연구를 통해 종교성향과 영적 웰빙을 연구하는 데 있어 내면화된 종교적 자기개념의 중요성을 확인하였다. The goal of the present study was to investigate the relation between religious identity and spiritual well-being and the mediating role of intrinsic religiosity between the two. Participants who were Christian (N = 121) completed measures of spiritual well-being and religious orientation and wrote a narrative about how they had become Christian. The collected narratives were coded by four trained coders based on the level of religious identity through internalization of religious self-concept. Results showed that there was a positive relation between religious identity coded from narratives and spiritual well-being, and this relation was mediated by intrinsic religiosity. In addition, extrinsic religiosity also mediated the relation between religious identity and spiritual well-being. The present research demonstrates the importance of internalization of religious self-concept in understanding religious orientation and spiritual well-being among Christians.

        Mori Fructus Induces Cell Death through ROS-dependent Mitochondrial Apoptotic Pathway in Human Glioma Cells

        Mulberry has been reported to contain wide range of polyphenols and have chemopreventive activity. However, little has been known regarding the effect of mulberry fruits on cell viability in human glioma cells. The present study was undertaken to examine the effect of mulberry fruit (Mori Fructus) on cell viability and to determine its underlying mechanism in human glioma cells. Cell viability and cell death were estimated by MTT assay and trypanblue exclusion assay, respectively. Reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation was measured using the fluorescence probe DCFH-DA. The mitochondrial transmembrane potential was measured with DiOC6(3). Bax expression and cytochrome c release were measured by Western blot analysis. Caspase activity was estimated using colorimetric kit. Mori Fructus resulted in apoptotic cell death in a dose- and time-dependent manner. Mori Fructus increased ROS generation and the Mori Fructus-induced cell death was also prevented by antioxidants, suggesting that ROS generation plays a critical role in Mori Fructus-induced cell death. Western blot analysis showed that Mori Fructus treatment caused an increase in Bax expression, which was inhibited by the antioxidant N-acetylcysteine (NAC). Mori Fructus induced depolarization of mitochondrial membrane potential and its effect was inhibited by the antioxidants NAC and catalase. Mori Fructus induced cytochrome c release, which was inhibited by NAC. Caspase activity was stimulated by Mori Fructus and caspase inhibitors prevented the Mori Fructus-induced cell death. These findings suggest that Mori Fructus results in human glioma cell death through ROS-dependent mitochondrial pathway in human glioma cells.

        A semi-auto parking is defined that a driver adjusts vehicle velocity through brake pedal operation, and automatic parking assist system generates collision-free path and controls the vehicle to follow the path until a it arrives at final parking slot. In this study, a backward motion control algorithm is proposed to track a distance-dependent rather than time-dependent trajectory for a semi-auto parallel parking system. Simulations are performed under SIMULINK environments using MATLAB and CarSim for a vehicle model. The simulation results show that the performance of the proposed algorithm is satisfactory.

        Implications of Circadian Rhythm in Dopamine and Mood Regulation

        Mammalian physiology and behavior are regulated by an internal time-keeping system, referred to as circadian rhythm. The circadian timing system has a hierarchical organization composed of the master clock in the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) and local clocks in extra-SCN brain regions and peripheral organs. The circadian clock molecular mechanism involves a network of transcription-translation feedback loops. In addition to the clinical association between circadian rhythm disruption and mood disorders, recent studies have suggested a molecular link between mood regulation and circadian rhythm. Specifically, genetic deletion of the circadian nuclear receptor Rev-erbα induces mania-like behavior caused by increased midbrain dopaminergic (DAergic) tone at dusk. The association between circadian rhythm and emotion-related behaviors can be applied to pathological conditions, including neurodegenerative diseases. In Parkinson’s disease (PD), DAergic neurons in the substantia nigra pars compacta progressively degenerate leading to motor dysfunction. Patients with PD also exhibit non-motor symptoms, including sleep disorder and neuropsychiatric disorders. Thus, it is important to understand the mechanisms that link the molecular circadian clock and brain machinery in the regulation of emotional behaviors and related midbrain DAergic neuronal circuits in healthy and pathological states. This review summarizes the current literature regarding the association between circadian rhythm and mood regulation from a chronobiological perspective, and may provide insight into therapeutic approaches to target psychiatric symptoms in neurodegenerative diseases involving circadian rhythm dysfunction.

        공공기관 근로자의 기본 심리 욕구 충족이 직무 태도와 이직 의도에 미치는 영향: 세대 차이를 중심으로

        Recently, the high turnover rate of MZ generation public employees has emerged as a serious problem for public organizations in Korea, and it is necessary to explore the underlying reasons. This study aimed to explain job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and turnover intention of public organizational workers in the perspective of basic psychological needs satisfaction in the workplace by generation. In other words, this study examined whether the basic psychological needs satisfaction by generation affects job satisfaction and organizational commitment, and further predicts turnover intention. A survey was conducted on 205 public organizational workers. Findings demonstrated that the interaction effect of the generation was significant in the relationship between basic psychological need satisfaction and work attitudes. Specifically, among workers in public institutions, in the older generation, the satisfaction of autonomy and relatedness in the workplace increased job satisfaction and organizational commitment, and finally lowered turnover intention. On the other hand, in the MZ generation, the satisfaction of competence increased both job satisfaction and organizational commitment, and the satisfaction of relatedness increased organizational commitment, thus finally lowered turnover intention. This study discusses the theoretical implications of the generation gap in the influence of basic psychological needs, as well as the practical implication in suggesting new insights for an intervention program to prevent the turnover of workers in public organizations. 최근 MZ 세대 공무원의 높은 퇴사율이 공공조직의 문제로 대두되고 있으며, 그 기저의 탐색이 요구된다. 본 연구는 세대별 직장 내 기본 심리 욕구 충족을 바탕으로 공공기관 근로자의 직무 만족, 조직 몰입, 이직 의도를 설명하고자 하였다. 즉, 세대에 따른 기본 심리 욕구 충족이 직무 만족과 조직 몰입에 영향을 미치고, 나아가 이직 의도를 예측하는지 검증하였다. 이를 위해 공공기관 근로자 205명을 대상으로 설문을 진행하였다. 그 결과, 기본 심리 욕구 충족과 직무 만족, 조직 몰입 관계에서 세대의 상호작용 효과가 확인되었다. 구체적으로, 공공기관 근로자 중 기성세대는 직장 내에서 자율성과 관계성의 충족이 직무 만족과 조직 몰입을 높여, 이직 의도를 낮추었다. 반면 MZ 세대는 유능성의 충족이 직무 만족과 조직 몰입을 높이고, 관계성의 충족이 조직 몰입을 높여, 최종적으로 이직 의도를 낮추었다. 본 연구는 기본 심리 욕구 영향에서 세대 차이에 대한 이론적 의의와 함께, 공공기관 근로자의 이직을 방지하기 위해 제언할 수 있는 개입 프로그램 등 실무적 의의를 논의하였다.

        Abrogation of the Circadian Nuclear Receptor REV-ERBα Exacerbates 6-Hydroxydopamine-Induced Dopaminergic Neurodegeneration

        Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative disease characterized by progressive degeneration of dopaminergic (DAergic) neurons, particularly in the substantia nigra (SN). Although circadian dysfunction has been suggested as one of the pathophysiological risk factors for PD, the exact molecular link between the circadian clock and PD remains largely unclear. We have recently demonstrated that REV-ERB, a circadian nuclear receptor, serves as a key molecular link between the circadian and DAergic systems. It competitively cooperates with NURR1, another nuclear receptor requiParkinson’s disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative disease characterized by progressive degeneration of dopaminergic (DAergic) neurons, particularly in the substantia nigra (SN). In the present study, we therefore aimed to elucidate whether genetic abrogation of REV-ERBα affects PD-related phenotypes in a mouse model of PD produced by a unilateral injection of 6-hydroxydopamine (6OHDA) into the dorsal striatum. REV-ERBα deficiency significantly exacerbated 6-OHDA-induced motor deficits as well as DAergic neuronal loss in the vertebral midbrain including the SN and the ventral tegmental area. The exacerbated DAergic degeneration likely involves neuroinflammation-mediated neurotoxicity. The Rev-erb α knockout mice showed prolonged microglial activation in the SN along with the overproduction of interleukin 1β, a pro-inflammatory cytokine, in response to 6-OHDA. In conclusion, the present study demonstrates for the first time that genetic abrogation of REV-ERBα can increase vulnerability of DAergic neurons to neurotoxic insults, such as 6-OHDA, thereby implying that its normal function may be beneficial for maintaining DAergic neuron populations during PD progression.red for the optimal development and function of DA neurons, to control DAergic gene transcription.         Determination of Buprofezin Residues in Rice and Fruits Using HPLC with LC/MS Confirmation

        A high-performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) method was developed to determine buprofezin residues in hulled rice and fruits. The buprofezin residue was extracted with acetone and the extract was stepwise purified by liquid-liquid partition and Florisil column chromatography. For rice samples, acetonitrile/n-hexane partition was additionally employed to remove nonpolar lipids. Reversed phase HPLC using an octadecylsilyl column was successfully applied to separate buprofezin from sample co-extractives, as detected by ultraviolet absorption at 250 nm. Recovery experiment at the limit of quantitation validated that the proposed method could evidently determine the buprofezin residue at the level of 0.02 mg/kg. Mean recoveries from hulled rice, apple, pear, and persimmon samples fortified at three tenfold levels were in the range of 80.8~85.2%, 89.1~98.4%, 88.8~95.7% and 90.8~96.2%, respectively. Relative standard deviations of the analytical method were all less than 5%, irrespective of sample types. A selected-ion monitoring LC/mass spectrometry with positive electrospray ionization was also provided to sensitively confirm the suspected residue.
