        A Rare Case of Essential Thrombocythemia with Coexisting JAK2 and MPL Driver Mutations

        Philadelphia-negative (Ph−) classical myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) include polycythemia vera, essential thrombocythemia (ET), and primary myelofibrosis. Somatic driver mutations in the JAK2, CALR, and MPL genes serve as major diagnostic criteria of the Ph− MPNs and these mutations occur in a mutually exclusive manner. In this report, we describe the first case of ET harboring double mutations in JAK2 V617F and MPL. For MPL, the patient had multiple clones of MPL mutations: c.1543_1546delinsAGGG (p.Trp515_ Gln516delinsArgGlu) and c.1546C>G (p.Gln516Glu). The JAK2 V617F allele burden in our patient is very low (4%) compared to the relatively high (17%–78%) allele frequency of MPL mutations. The low JAK2 mutant burden might be explained by preexisting clonal hematopoiesis before overt signs of MPNs, followed by the acquisition of a second oncogenic mutation of CALR or MPL leading to the MPN phenotype. This highlights that screening for a second driver mutation should be considered in patients with a low JAK2 mutant burden by reporting a 57-year-old Korean man with ET.

        저주파 혼변조 신호의 크기 조절에 의한 전치 왜곡 선형화기 설계

        본 논문에서는 저주파 혼변조 신호의 크기만을 조절하여 혼변조 신호를 제어하는 새로운 전치 왜곡 선형화기를 제안하였다. 이 방법은 고조파 발생기 출력에서 생성된 저주파 혼변조 신호를 주 신호와 진폭 변조시켜 혼변조 신호를 만들었으며, 저주파 가변 이득 조절기를 이용하여 혼변조 신호의 크기와 위상을 조절하였다. 제안한 전치 왜곡 선형화기는 국내 셀룰러 기지국 송신 주파수($869{\sim}894\;MHz$) 반송파 2 톤 신호를 전력 증폭기에 인가하여 입력 신호 레벨을 변화시켰을 때, 3차 혼변조 신호는 20 dB 이상 개선되었으며, IS-95 CDMA 1FA 신호입력 시에는 중심 주파수에서 ${\pm}885\;kHz$ 및 ${\pm}1.25;MHz$ 이격 지점에서 인접 채널 전력 비(ACPR: Adjacent Channel Power Ratio)를 10 dB 이상 개선시켰다. In this paper, a new predistortion linearizer for controlling the amplitude of low frequency intermodulation distortion signals is proposed. The low frequency intermodulation distortion(IMD) components are generated by harmonic generator. A vector modulator, modulate fundamental signal with low frequency IMD signals, generates predistortion IMD signals and controls amplitude and phase of them with modulation factors. As a result, this predistorter is suppressed IMD signals of power amplifier effectively. The predistortion linearizer has been manufactured to operate in cellular base-station transmitting band($869{\sim}894\;MHz$). The experimental results show that IMD3 of power amplifier are improved more than 20 dB for CW two-tone signals. Also, it's improved the adjacent channel power ratio(ACPR) more than 10 dB for IS-95 CDMA IFA signals.

        Dose Estimation Curves Following In Vitro X-ray Irradiation Using Blood From Four Healthy Korean Individuals

        Cytogenetic dosimetry is useful for evaluating the absorbed dose of ionizing radiation based on analysis of radiation-induced chromosomal aberrations. We created two types of in vitro dose-response calibration curves for dicentric chromosomes (DC) and translocations (TR) induced by X-ray irradiation, using an electron linear accelerator, which is the most frequently used medical device in radiotherapy. We irradiated samples from four healthy Korean individuals and compared the resultant curves between individuals. Aberration yields were studied in a total of 31,800 and 31,725 metaphases for DC and TR, respectively, obtained from 11 X-ray irradiation dose-points (0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 Gy). The dose-response relationship followed a linear-quadratic equation, Y=C +αD+βD2, with the coefficients C=0.0011 for DC and 0.0015 for TR, α=0.0119 for DC and 0.0048 for TR, and β=0.0617 for DC and 0.0237 for TR. Correlation coefficients between irradiation doses and chromosomal aberrations were 0.971 for DC and 0.6 for TR, indicating a very strong and a moderate correlation, respectively. This is the first study implementing cytogenetic dosimetry following exposure to ionizing X-radiation.

        대학생의 애착회피와 삶의 만족도의 관계: 회피-분산적 정서조절양식, 정서표현 양가성의 매개효과

        The purpose of this study is to investigate how attachment avoidance, avoidant/distractive emotional regulation style, ambivalence over emotional expressiveness affected college students’ life satisfaction. This study also investigated the relationships among attachment avoidance, avoidant/distractive emotional regulation style, ambivalence over emotional expressiveness and life satisfaction. The participants in the study were 380 college students and the satisfaction with life scale(SWLS), experiences in close relationships -revised(ECR-R), emotional regulation strategies checklist, ambivalence over emotional expressiveness questionnaire-korea(AEQ-K) were used for this study. For data analysis, reliability analysis, descriptive statistics analysis, correlation analysis, structural equation models were used. The major results are as follows: First, the results of correlation analysis, attachment avoidance had a positive correlation with avoidant/distractive emotional regulation style, ambivalence over emotional expressiveness and showed a negative correlation with life satisfaction. Ambivalence over emotional expressiveness had a positive correlation with avoidant/distractive emotional regulation style and showed a negative correlation with life satisfaction. Avoidant/distractive emotional regulation style and life satisfaction were negative related. Second, mediating effect to verify the significance of the results for each variable, the level of avoidant/distractive emotional regulation style had more influence than the level of ambivalence over emotional expressiveness in life satisfaction. The results of this study are to understand the college students’ life satisfaction. And it can be utilized to help focusing on client involvement in counseling settings when counselor meets client appeal to attachment avoidance. 본 연구에서는 애착회피, 회피-분산적 정서조절양식, 정서표현 양가성이 대학생의 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향에 관해 알아보았다. 또한 애착회피, 회피-분산적 정서조절양식, 정서표현 양가성과 삶의 만족도의 관계에 대해 연구하였다. 연구 참여자는 380명의 대학생이었고 측정도구는 삶의 만족도 척도(SWLS), 성인애착척도(ECR-R), 정서조절양식 체크리스트, 정서표현 양가성 척도 한국판(AEQ-K)을 사용하였으며, 데이터 분석을 위해 신뢰도 분석, 기술통계 분석, 상관분석, 구조방정식 모델 검증을 사용하였다. 본 연구의 주요한 결과는 다음과 같다: 첫째, 상관분석 결과 애착회피는 회피-분산적 정서조절양식, 정서표현 양가성과는 정적인 관계를 나타내었으나 삶의 만족도와는 부적인 관계를 나타내었다. 정서표현 양가성은 회피-분산적 정서조절양식과는 정적인 관계, 삶의 만족도와는 부적인 관계를 보였으며, 회피-분산적 정서조절양식 또한 삶의 만족도와 부적인 관계를 보였다. 둘째, 각 변수 간의 매개효과 유의성 검증결과 정서표현 양가성이 회피-분산적 정서조절양식 보다 삶의 만족도와 더 유의한 결과를 나타내었다. 본 연구의 결과로 대학생들의 삶의 만족을 이해할 수 있었으며 이는 상담 장면에서 성인애착 문제를 호소하는 내담자들을 만날 때 중심 개입방법으로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

        ABO 및 RhD 혈액형 검사와 항체 선별검사를 위한 혈액은행 자동화장비 Galileo NEO와 QWALYS-3의 평가

        Background:An automation system for ABO-RhD typing and antibody screening has been developed and its use is increasing. We compared the results of ABO-RhD typing and antibody screening tests using the manual (ABO-RhD typing) or semiautomated (antibody screening) method and with the automation instruments Galileo NEO (Immucor Gamma, Norcoss, USA) and QWALYS-3 (DIAGAST, Loos Cedex, France). Methods:A total of 332 blood samples were tested for ABO-RhD typing in comparison with routine manual tests, and 236 samples for antibody screening in comparison with DS-Screening II (Bio-Rad Laboratories, 1785 Cressier FR, Switzerland). We evaluated the performance of Galileo NEO and QWALYS-3 in terms of concordance, carryover, and sensitivity test for ABO-RhD typing and antibody screening. Results:The concordance rates of ABO-RhD typing results between the manual methods and the two instruments were 99.4% for Galileo NEO and 99.1% for QWALYS-3, respectively. On antibody screening tests, a concordance rate of 97.9% was observed between the semiautomated method and Galileo NEO or QWALYS-3, because of discordance in five specimens. The carryover was not observed for ABO-RhD typing and antibody screening. The overall sensitivity of the two automation instruments appears to be parallel with that of DS-Screening II except for anti-E. Conclusion:The Galileo NEO and QWALYS-3 system showed good performance, it can be used with confidence for routine pre-transfusion testing in the blood bank.

        5세기 후반~6세기 중반 백제의 대외 정책과 백제-신라 관계의 추이

        In the latter half of the 5th century, Koguryeo's attack on Baekje and Silla led to a solidarity between the two countries. However, the age of this period was not enough to express it as “alliance”. Baekje and Silla were responding jointly to Goguryeo according to their needs for their own benefit. In the 6th century, the attack direction of Goguryeo was changed from Silla to Baekje. Baekje also begins attacking Goguryeo while recovering its national strength. However, during this period, Silla put more effort into pursuing their own interests in the fighting between Goguryeo and Baekje. Silla took the Han River basin of Baekje in 553 and set up Shinju(新州). Since then, Baekje tried to revenge Silla through the battle of Gwansanseong(管山城), but they failed. After this incident, Baekje's rulers changed from Goguryeo to Silla, and until the fall of Baekje, the hard - line stance on Silla continued.

        백제의 對倭交涉에서 質의 역할

        This paper examines the form and role of hostages(質) sent by Baekje to Wae(倭) in the negotiation process between Baekje and Wae(倭). As a diplomatic envoy representing the king, the hostage played a role in eliciting political and military cooperation from the other country. Baekje began to send the crown prince Jeonji(腆支) to Wae(倭) as a hostage in 397, and continued to send hostages to Wae(倭) until the 7th century. The hostage was a royal family or a high-ranking official and stayed in Wae(倭) for a long time. Such hostage status and duration of stay would have increased the trust of Wae(倭) and increased efficiency in negotiating with Wae(倭). The dispatch of hostages was made under the basis of Baekje's foreign policy. In consideration of the external circumstances of the war with Goguryeo or Silla, Baekje dispatched hostages to induce cooperation with Wae(倭). Also, through the hostage activities, the friendly relationship between Baekje and Wae(倭) was maintained for a long time. .
