        Germ-free colostrum-deprived piglets were obtained from disease-free Minnesota miniature sow. These animals were kept in the germ-free isolators during the period of experiment and randomly divided into four groups. Group A received a single injection of 1012 purified actinophage (MSP-2) intraperitoneally within five hours after the hysterectomy. Group B were uninjected littermate controls. Each group was divided into two subgroups: one half of each group was kept germ-free and fed an antigen free diet, namely, sterile pyrogen-free distilled water for short term experiments(for 72 hours). The other half of each group was kept germ-free and fed Mullsoy-diet for long term observation. These animals were sacrificed by bleeding at various intervals, and we took serum for antibody titration and took spleen and regional lymphnodes, that is, mesenteric, cervical, submaxillary, axillary, inguinal, and substernal lymph nodes for histological study. The paraffin sections were stained with H & E, M. G.P.(Methyl Green Pyronin) and silver. We examined them under the light microscope and had results as followings: 1. Germ-free colostrum-deprived piglets were free from detectable immuno-globulins in their sera and their tissues were free from "background" antibody forming cells. They were, therefore, immunologically "virgin".

      • 돼지 임파절의 섬유주 및 피질 성분을 중심으로한 조직학적 관찰

        As the experimental animals, the miniature pigs of Minnesota University were used. Germ-free piglets obtained by aseptic hysterectomy three to five days prior to term were kept in germ-free unit during the period of experiment. Those animals were sacrificed by bleeding and we took regional lymph nodes, that is mesenteric lymph node, cervical lymph node, sub maxillary lymph node and inguinal lymph node from them. Using hematoxylin and eosin staining, methyl-green pyronin staining and silver staining methods, we examined them under the microscope. Then we had results as following: 1. In the pigs, the trabeculae of the lymph node developed and branched into the lymph node connecting the capsule at the hilus of the lymph node; while in other species, the trabeculae of lymph node developed into the lymph node from many places of capsule of the lymph node. 2. Cortical substances including germinal center were developed following the trabeculae of the lymph node and medullary substances were located in the periphery of the lymph node. 3. The light zone of germinal center and small lymphocytes surrounding it placed themselves toward the near side of the trabeculae; on the other hand, the dark zone placed itself toward the far side of the trabeculae. 4. Those results suggested that the lymph flowed into lymph node through trabeculae or subtrabecular sinus in the pigs.

        중국 애니메이션 「나의 붉은 고래」에 표현된 나 가면의 숭고미에 대한 연구

        애니메이션 산업의 빠른 성장세와 더불어 많은 애니메이션 작품들이 전통 문화에서 디자인 영감을 찾기 시작하였다. 그동안 애니메이션 작품은 주로 캐릭터 패션, 장면 구성, 주제 설정 차원에서 전통 문화를 활용하였다. 반면 전통 문화의 중요한 구성 요소인 나(儺) 문화는 애니메이션 작품에서 주로 시각적인 부분을 부각하기 위한 나(儺) 가면의 이미지 활용에만 그치고 있으며 미학적 차원에서 애니메이션 속 나 문화를 분석한 연구가 부족한 편이다. 이로 인해 관객들은 애니메이션에서 전통 나 가면이 갖고 있는 민족적 의미를 제대로 이해하지 못하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 애니메이션 <나의 붉은 고래>에 등장하는 중국 나 가면을 연구대상으로 하여 나 문화의 역사적 변화 과정, 나 문화와 나 가면의 관계를 살펴보고, 칸트의 숭고미학을 구성하고 있는 수학의 숭고와 역학의 숭고 두 가지 이론을 중심으로 나 문화의 전체적인 맥락 속에서 애니메이션에 활용된 나 가면을 조형, 색채 및 실용적 기능 세 가지 차원에서 분석한다. 이로써 ‘숭고’ 미학에 대한 이해를 증진하고 ‘숭고’ 미학의 활용 분야를 중국 고대 문화로 확장하여 중국 나 가면의 숭고미가 애니메이션 작품에서 어떻게 구현되는지를 연구하고자 한다. 나 가면의 조형 및 예술 특징, 활용 기능과 문화적 의미 등은 현대 애니메이션 예술 디자인에 다차원적인 접근 시점을 제공하였다. 또한 현대 디자인 기법으로 나 가면의 필요한 요소를 선택하여 창의적으로 활용함으로써 전통 나 가면이 애니메이션 작품에서 새로운 활력을 보여줄 수 있었다. 이로써 나 문화의 예술적 정수를 계승할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 전통 나 가면의 활용방식을 혁신하여 애니메이션의 디자인 언어를 더욱 다채롭게 할 수 있다. 또한 향후 애니메이션 창작에 전통 예술의 기호 형태를 다양하게 활용하고 전통 문화의 미학적 의미를 구현할 수 있어 애니메이션 혁신에 다양한 근거를 마련할 수 있게 되었다.

      • 胸腺PAS陽性細胞에 關한 組織學的 및 組織化學的 硏究

        As a preliminary experiment for the studies of the cells forming the microenvironment of the thymus the present experiment have been examined for the appearance, the localization and the histochemical properties of the PAS-positive cells in the thymuses of rats, mice and rabbits. After animals of various ages (from 1st week to 40th week after birth) were sacrificed the thymus were removed from each animals. The serial paraffine sections were carried out for the staining with PAS, M. G. P., toluidine blue and HE. At one month after birth, in all of the experimental animals a few of the PAS-positive cells appeared at the corticomedullary junction of the thymuses and the number of these cells increased with advancing age at the same area. In the animals after 6th month, most of the PAS-positive cells localized at the subcapsular area in the mice and at the corticomedullary junction in the rats and rabbits. The size of the PAS-positive cells increased progressively with advancing age and the cytoplasm of these cells packed with the granules which gave positive reactions to PAS and pyronine and negative reaction to toluidine blue. Frequently the mitotic lymphocytes which were uniformly scattered throughout the cortex were seen in each thymic lobules of all experimental animals, while the PAS-positive cells were not observed in some of thymic lobules in the animals before 4 month old. Those results suggested that the PAS-positive cells may be related with differentiation or maturation rather than proliferation of the thymic lymphocytes.

        토끼의 협골궁을 이용한 유경골이식과 유리골이식의 비교연구

        The membranous bone is new used frequently to fill the defect made during the craniofacial osteotmy. The membranous bone is resolved less than the endochondral bone after the free graft, and maintains its greater preportion when it is transfered with its vascular pedicle. It is also known that there is less resorption in the orthotopic graft than in the heterotopic graft. We have stuided the amount of resorption of the orthotopically grafted bone in the vascularized and nonvascularized model. A zygomatic arch of the rabbit was resected completely and was fixed orthotopically using a wire. The contralateral one was resected and fixed with its muscle attachment(masseter). After 8 weeks the animals were sacrificed. The volume of the grafted bone was compared. There 10±2% volume loss in the vascularized modol and 18±4% volume loss in the free graft model with a statistically significant difference(P<0.001). Histologically, in the vascularized graft, primary bony union was observed and the original architecture was preserved well and the periosteal activity way great. The free graft was also healed by bony union except in 1 case. But the architectural irregularity was more prominent in the free graft than in the vascularized graft.
