        A numerical study was carried to understand the flow characteristics inside a swimming pool due to change of inflow conditions. The swimming pool was approximated as a two-dimensional domain. All computations was made by using a commercial software FLUENT for fluid flow analysis. Preliminary computation shows that currently used swimming pool has inefficient flow characteristics in terms of exhausting used water containing ducts and other contaminants. More detailed computations show that mass flow rate, diameter of inlet ducts, and number of inlets are not good parameters to improve the flow characteristics. Instead a new design of inlet duct is proposed numerical computation with this new design show considerable improvement over the current design.

        원전 다수기 리스크 평가를 위한 국내 원전 사건이력 조사 연구

        Compared to a single nuclear power plant (NPP) risk, the commonalities existing in the multiple NPPs attribute the characteristics of the multi-unit risk. If there is no commonality among the multiple NPPs, there will be no dependency among the risks of multiple NPPs. Therefore, understanding the commonality causing multi-unit events is essential to assessing the multi-unit risk, and identifying the characteristics of the multi-unit risk is necessary not only to select the scope and method for the multi-unit risk assessment, but also to analyze the data of the multi-unit events. In order to develop Korea-specific multi-unit risk assessment technology, we analyze the multi-unit commonalities included in the operational experiences of domestic NPPs. We identified 58 cases of multi-unit events through detailed review of domestic nuclear power plant event reports over the past 10 years, and the multi-unit events were classified into six commonalities to identify Korea-specific characteristics of multi-unit events. The identified characteristics can be used to understand and manage domestic multi-unit risks. It can also be used as a basis for modeling multi-unit events for multi-unit risk assessment.

      • 경운기 부착형 마늘 파종기 개발을 위한 기초연구

        Cultivation area of garlics is 9% of all cultivation area of vegetables. The amount of annual demand is increased in 1,000~1,5000ton Also, the amount of demand per person has a tendency to increase as above 10㎏, So, garlics has become important crops in agriculture. The purpose of this study is to acquire the basic information to design the garlic seeder attached power tiller. We used Working Model 3D program to design an automatic aligning device which is the most important part of the garlic seeder. The results are as follows; 1. The optimum depth of garlics seeding was shown as 3㎝. 2. The garlic seed has to be discharged from the garlic seeder at intervals of 0.75sec in order to seed at intervals of seeds of 15㎝ 3. The optimum design factors of the automatic aligning device were shown as cylinder diameter of 4㎝, cylinder gap of 1㎝, revolution of 36rpm and inclined angle of cylinder of 8.4˚.

        국내 원자력발전소 지진 PSA의 CDF 과평가 방지를 위한 비희귀사건 모델링 방법 연구

        Calculating the scrutable core damage frequency (CDF) of nuclear power plants is an important component of the seismic probabilistic safety assessment (SPSA). In this work, a simple approach is developed to calculate CDF from minimal cut sets (MCSs) with non-rare events. When conventional calculation methods based on rare event approximations are employed, the CDF of industry SPSA models is significantly overestimated by non-rare events in the MCSs. Recently, quantification algorithms using binary decision diagrams (BDDs) have been introduced to prevent CDF overestimation in the SPSA. However, BDD structures are generated from a small part of whole MCSs due to limited computational memory, and they cannot be reviewed due to their complicated logic structure. This study suggests a simple approach for scrutinizing the CDF calculation based on whole MCSs in the SPSA system analysis model. The proposed approach compares the new results to outputs from existing algorithms, which helps in avoiding CDF overestimation.

      • 급동 급치식 풋콩 탈협기 개발을 위한 기초 연구

        Worldwide consumption of vegetable soybean has been increasing recently, hence it is necessary to produce good quality of soybean in our farms. In the process of vegetable soybean production threshing and seperation work accounts for about 80% of overall labor. Therefore, developing of the vegetable soybean thresher is necessary to reduce the cost of labor. The purpose of this study is to acquire the basic informations to design of the vegetable soybeans-thresher. We make the experimental system which measure the physical properties and investigate the detachment forces. Also, We calculated the minimum speed of threshing cylinder The result are as follows; 1. The average length of soybean stem is 68.2㎝. 2. The lengths of soybean pods are seen as 61.3㎜ for 3 grains, 52.6㎜ for 2 grains and 41.0㎜ for 1 grain. 3. The widths of soybean pods are seen as 14.1㎜ for 3 grains, 13.8㎜ for 2 grains and 13.4㎜ for 1 grain. 4. The weights of soybean pods are seen as 4.1grams for 3 grains, 2.7grams for 2 grains and 1.4grams for 1 grain. 5. The average detachment forces of pods are seen as 1.5kgf for 3 grains, 1.2kgf for 2 grains and 0.8kgf for 1 grain respectively For 1 grain, the detachment force of pods ranges from 0.2kgf to 1.4kgf. For 2 grains, the minimum detachment force of pods is seen as 0.6kgf and the maximum one is seen as 2.5kgf. For 3 grains, the minimum detachment force of pods is seen as 0.7kgf and the maximum one is seen as 2.7kgf. 6. The minimum speed of threshing cylinder is shown 6.83m/s.

        원자력발전소 지진 PSA의 계통분석방법 개선 연구

        The seismic PSA is to probabilistically estimate the potential damage that a large earthquake will cause to a nuclear power plant. It integrates the probabilistic seismic hazard analysis, seismic fragility analysis, and system analysis and is utilized to identify seismic vulnerability and improve seismic capacity of nuclear power plants. Recently, the seismic risk of domestic multi-unit nuclear power plant sites has been evaluated after the Great East Japan Earthquake and Gyeongju Earthquake in Korea. However, while the currently available methods for system analysis can derive basic required results of seismic PSA, they do not provide the detailed results required for the efficient improvement of seismic capacity. Therefore, for in-depth seismic risk evaluation, improved system analysis method for seismic PSA has become necessary. This study develops a system analysis method that is not only suitable for multi-unit seismic PSA but also provides risk information for the seismic capacity improvements. It will also contribute to the enhancement of the safety of nuclear power plants by identifying the seismic vulnerability using the detailed results of seismic PSA. In addition, this system analysis method can be applied to other external event PSAs, such as fire PSA and tsunami PSA, which require similar analysis.

      • 광대역 S밴드용 π-Junction 어레이 급전도파관의 설계

        This paper presents a feeder waveguide array using π-Junction with an inductive wall for the element of a multiple-way power divider in a single-layered sloted waveguide array. The feed structure consists of a single waveguide placed on the same layer as radiating waveguide and is characterized by the unit divider, called a π-Junction. This π-Junction with an inductive wall splits part of the power into two branch waveguide through one coupling window, and can excite densely arrayed waveguide at equal phase and amplitude. The power dividing characteristics of a cascade of π-Junctions are analyzed by Galerkin's method of moments. From the optimum simulation results based on the feeder waveguide using π-Junction, we obtained the scattering matrices of the feeder divided power at 3.95㎓.

        As Korea economy has grown quickly, People`s living expectancy has increased. And number of old age people is also increased. For these reasons people started to concern about the problem relating. obesity and health. This study`s main aim is to improve the quality of life through snoring health. As Korean economy has dramatically grown, people`s living expectancy and number of old age people will increase. The study has been concluded after research the relation between snoring and quality of life. 1) In general, the obesity are showed with age between 60-69, people who drunk m the past, people who are rich and people who spend their living cost themselves. 2) In general, people who dink and smoke show a high level of sleeping. 3) In general, people who do not smoke and drink, people who are poor and people who are supported by their children show a high level of health. 4) In general, people who smoke and drink show a high level of snoring. 5) This research aims to make clear that what snoring affects to old age and the relation between snoring and life quality of old age. 6) According to the research, effects on the quality of life are mainly related with smoking, economic situation, health and snoring. People who do not smoke, people who are poor and health show a high level of the quality of life.
