In a service process, the customer typically experiences two types of interactions; one is interaction with the physical ambiance (servicescape) and the other is with employees who may be responsible for the service process quality. The literature in general supports that process quality is a critical determinant for overall service quality and customer satisfaction. In this paper, we primarily examine how the servicescape intervenes the association between process quality and employee/customer satisfaction. The proposed models are tested, using the data collected from the major golf courses in Korea. The results suggest that improving process quality and servicescape have a positive influence on employee/customer satisfaction directly and/or indirectly, but the effect of servicescape may be stronger in the case of golf course businesses. Servicescape also contributes to improving process quality by enhancing employee satisfaction. These results collectively indicate that management emphasis on improving service quality without renovating physical surroundings may results in unsatisfactory outcome.
범주형 환경변수를 고려한 부대성과평가 방법에 관한 연구 - DEA와 CCCA의 결합을 중심으로 -

There are many occasions that the performance of a corps is influenced not only by its own efforts but by the commander of the next higher unit in a vertical organizational structure. When the direction of the commander in the next higher organization is different from that of the actual evaluation agency, the unit under evaluation may get rated lower than what it should deserve. This study suggests an alternative method to evaluate the performance of military units in the situation that there exist critical environmental factors which affect the performance. This method employes DEA, a non parametric method, and Constrained Canonical Correlation Analysis(CCCA), a parametric method which is used to estimate a efficient frontier with multiple dependent variables and constraints. This article also exploits a set of categorical environmental variables in the CCCA to improve the fairness of performance evaluation. It is shown that the introduction of the categorical variables helps evaluating the true performance of individual units such as battalions subordinated to different next higher commanders.
능동 소음 제어를 위한 새로운 가변 수렴 상수 Gradient Adaptive Lattice Algorithm

본 논문은 능동 소음 제어 시스템에 적합한 새로운 가변 수렴 상수 filtered-x gradient adaptive lattice(NVSS-FxGAL) 알고리즘을 제안한다. Gradient adaptive lattice(GAL) 알고리즘은 협대역 특성을 가지는 소음을 효과적으로 제어할 수 있다. GAL 알고리즘의 수렴 성능을 개선하기 위한 가변 격자 필터의 각 단계에 동일하게 적용하면 입력 신호의 특성 변화에 강인하게 대처하지 못한다. 제안 알고리즘은 격자 필터의 각 단계에 적합한 로컬 가변 수렴상수를 이용하여 안정적이고 일관성 있는 수렴 성능을 보장한다. 실험을 통해 제안 알고리즘은 빠른 수렴 속도와 낮은 정상 상태를 보임을 확인하였다.
