The renewable energy is necessary to develop as a countermeasure of greenhouse effect. Among the renewable energy resources, small hydropower generates few CO₂ and energy density of the small hydropower is relatively higher than that of the other renewable energy resources. Recently, development of hydroelectric power system in our country is mainly focused on the improvement of performance of the turbine-generator and also, standardization of the turbine is very important. Because of the structural feature of cross-flow turbine, standardization of the turbine is easy. The purpose of this study is to examine the optimum configuration of main variables to further optimize the cross-flow hydraulic turbine structure and to improve the performance. The turbine has been proved that the output power varies by the turbine design factors such as nozzle shape, runner blade angle and the number of the runner blade.

The microfiber filter continued using filter's efficiency is degraded. The continued use of filters to remove contaminants through a cleaning. In this study a wash trough fluids flow inside the inlet for the efficient mixing of the location were investigated. The inlet and outlet of the Wash trough internal filter change intervals depending on the position of the flow analysis was performed.

Global concerns about environmental issues such as a greenhouse effect are increasing gradually. Quantity of emission of carbon dioxide by Hydro-Power Plants is smaller than those by power plants of other renewable energy sources. Manufacturing costs of hydro turbine is relatively very expensive because the structure of hydro turbine is very complex. Therefore, cross-flow turbine is adopted in this study because of its simple structure and high possibility of applying to small hydropower. The result shows that as effective head increases, tangential and radial flow velocities increase and thus, the increased tangential velocity contributes to the increase of angular momentum and output torque.
