Control stations managed by national and local governmnes are associated with other survey work and constructing geography information and they are important assets in the national level as the positional standard of the country. Since these control points are managed as some type of register and the control points could not be easily updated due to the loss of control stations from construction work or urban development. Therefore, the users could not understand the present situaltion of the changed control stations. In this background, the aim of this study was to develop control station management system which the managers can use to efficiently maintain contol points and to support the usage of the survey control points. For developing this system, we have designed input, update, network, analysis and statistic fuctions, and have constructed the system using Mapobject as main engine with other languages such as Visual C++ and Visual Basic. The graphic data used in this system are 1/5,000 digital map and digial cadastral map, and the attribute data of each control station are point name, map tile name, longitude and latitude coordinates, TM coordinates, surveying data with the format of year-month-day and control situation photos and so on. In the result of constructing this control station management system, we could achieve integrated management of graphic, attribute and positioning information of each control station.

In this work, fault diagnosis of PEMFC thermal management system has been investigated in component level. For component level diagnosis, unlike conventional model-based study, experimental apparatus of thermal management system was setup. The system consists of coolant pump, mass flow meter, fan-radiator module, coolant reservoir and heat exchanger simulating a fuel cell which will be replaced by real fuel cell stack in later study. Using electric relay, pump signal and some physical methods, six faults state and normal state were simulated in experiment. Support vector machine was used for diagnosis and classification tool. Data sets from experiment were divided into training and testing sets. Training sets were used to train SVM model, and trained SVM model classified the testing sets for validation. The test results indicate it is possible to diagnose component level failure and SVM can be used to fault diagnosis tool.

Recently, many studies extracting the geography information using digital aerial image have been implemented. But it is very difficult that automatically recognizing objects using edge detection method on the aerial image, and so that work have practiced manually or semi-automatically. Therefore, in this study, we have removed impedimental elements for recognition using the image which overlapped the significant information bands of brightness-sliced aerial images, then have developed the algorithm which can automatically recognize and extract road information and we will try to apply that method when we develop a system. For this, first of all, we have developed the template conformal-transformation moving operator for automatically recognizing crosswalk area from crosswalk band image and the window normal search algorithm which is able to track road area based on long-side length of crosswalk, so that we have proposed the method that can extract directly the road information from the aerial image.
