However the food waste problem has been well characterized by the local government, finding the best solution is a difficult and daunting task. Although much attentionhasbeenpaid to analyze the effect of food waste treatment facilities, there have been few sophisticated comparisons of the costs and potential effects of food waste reduction equipment subsidized. In this study, an attempt was made to analyze lump-sum purchase and rental subsidies by comparing the cost- effectiveness of food waste reduction equipment distribution by the local government, Jeju Special District. A set of scenarios for two kinds of subsidies were constructed and the data on the cost of financing methods was assembled after upscaling the costs over a 10-year period. The estimated costs are 6,091 million KRW for the purchase subsidies and 6,463 million KRW for the rental subsidies, which indicates that the former is more cost-effectivet hanthelatter. However, cost-effectiveness can vary with assumptions, such as technological progress, interest rate, risk premium, etc. The present approach can be adapted to establish proper food waste policy interventions or a mixture of policies by considering the regional economic conditions and environment. 없음
PETSIM : 생산시스템의 설계 및 분석을 위한 Simulation 도구

Simulation has been recognized as an invaluable tool in designing and analyzing manufacturing system. In this paper, a Petri net based simulation tool to facilitate the simulation project in manufacturing area is presented . To simulate a manufacturing system, three models are developed ; a Petrinet model, a monitor, and a token control function. While hardware objects in manufacturing systems are modeled by Petri net objects, cell level control functions are separately modeled and integrated with a Petri net model so that they resolve conflicts occuring in Petri net execution. The monitor is a model regarding the information flow between Petri nets and token control functions. The facilities of the developed tool are presented. Also, a modeling procedure with the tool is illustrated via a case study.

In this study, a distributed simulation of Petri net models under HLA/RTI framework is considered. Throughout our modeling experiences, it is recognized that the proper use of interface specification and time management services are important in order to achieve successful implementation of RTI. The interfacing tokens between Petri net models are distinguished as information entity and physical entity. Both entities are modeled as InteractionClass in order to send and receive messages. For the synchronization of local simulation clocks, a conservative method with NERA service is considered. A cell manufacturing system is modeled and implemented with RTI to illustrate the distributed simulation of Petri net models.

In order to evaluate the performance of priority queues for future event list in discrete-event simulations, models representing patterns of enqueue and dequeue processes are required. The time complexities of diverse priority queue implementations can be compared using the performance models. This study aims at developing such performance models especially under the environment that a developed simulation model is used repeatedly for a long period. The developed performance model is based on multi-stage Markov process models; probabilistic patterns of enqueue and dequeue are considered by incorporating non-homogeneous transition probability. All necessary parameters in this performance model would be estimated by analyzing a results obtained by executing the simulation model. A case study with a war game simulation model shows how the parameters defined in muti-stage Markov process models are estimated.

In general, simulation models are effectively used in the field of engineering design. The experiment with simulation models to obtain optimal design parameters, however, is a time-consuming task and requires a lot of resources. Hence, meta-models representing the relationships between input variables and performance measures are exploited to efficiently determine the value of design parameters. To construct a meta-model, a number of simulation executions with sample scenarios are required. The number and quality of sample scenarios determine not only the level of efficiency in constructing the meta-model but also accuracy of the model. Space-filling condition is regarded to be an important condition for the quality of scenarios. This paper proposes sample scenario generation methods based on space-filling measures such as maxmin, Audze-Eglais, and centered L2-discrepancy. The performance of these scenario generation methods are evaluated through experiments.

This paper introduces a case study for efficient generation of production schedules in a tube manufacturing system. The considered scheduling problem consists of two sub problems:lot sizing for a job and job sequencing. Since these problems require simulation optimization in which the performance measures are obtained by simulation execution, the trade-off between solution quality and computation time is an important issue. In this study, the optimal lot size for every product type is determined from simulation experiments. Then, target production quantity for each product type is transformed to several jobs such that a job consists of determined lot size. To obtain the good solution for a job sequence in a reasonable time, a number of alternatives are generated from heuristic rules developed by intuition and analysis of the considered system, and a job sequence is selected from simulation experiments.
시간 제약을 갖는 차량 라우팅 문제에서 염색체 해석에 기초한 유전자 알고리듬과 부분 최적화 알고리듬

본 논문은 시간 제약을 갖는 차량 라우팅 문제를 해결하기 위해 유전자 알고리듬과 부분 최적화 알고리듬을 적용한 방법을 소개한다. 유전자 알고리듬에서의 염색체는 노드를 나타내는 정수의 순열로 표현되어 직접적인 해를 나타내지 않지만, 경험적 방법에 의한 해석을 통해 유효한 해로 변형되도록 하였다. 유전자 알고리듬에 의해 생성된 주어진 수의 우수한 해들에는 세 부분 최적화 방법이 순차적으로 적용되어 보다 좋은 해를 생성하도록 하였다. 부분 최적화 방법들에 의한 해는 다시 유전자 알고리듬의 해로 바뀌지 않도록 하여 두 알고리듬은 느슨하게 연결되도록 하였다. 솔로몬의 데이터를 이용한 실험에서 본 연구에서의 방법이 모든 문제에 대해 우수한 해를 생성함을 나타내었다. 특히, 지금까지 알려진 가장 우수한 경험적 방법에 비교될 만한 결과를 가져옴을 보였다.

Recent studies consider carbon market establishment and regulation that lead efficient GHG mitigation with lower compliance cost by use of market mechanism such as emission trading and carbon tax. Korea has become one of top 10 GHG emitters and needs to construct well-designed carbon regulation scheme. This paper combines US and EU experiences in carbon regulation, including enactments, proposed and reviewed acts. Carbon tax has been adopted by several European countries, in the hope of creating a low-carbon society and ensuring sustainable growth. Various carbon trading programs, on the other hand, have been adopted by the Kyoto Protocol and currently being developed and tested in EU and US as a partial remedy to the greenhouse gas (GHG) problem. Experiences in US and EU suggest that the Korean environmental authority, using regulatory approaches, can achieve the following goals, with combination of policy instruments, simultaneously: environment protection, economic efficiency, and fiscal sustainability.
