The intent of this study is to investigate whether two oriental medical prescriptions named haengsotang(HST) and gami-palmihwan (GPMH) significantly effect mucin release from cultured hamster tracheal surface epithelial(HTSE) cells. Confluent HTSE cells were metabolically radiolabeled with 3H-glucosamine for 24 hrs and chased for 30 min in the presence of HST or GPMH to assess the effect of each agent on 3H-mucin release. Possible cytotoxicities of each agent were assessed by measuring lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) release. Also, the effects of HST and GPMH on contractility of isolated tracheal smooth muscle were investigated. The results are consistant with the following assertions : (1) HST significantly inhibited mucin release from cultured HTSE cells, without cytotoxicity ; (2) GPMH did not effect mucin release without cytotoxicity; (3) HST and GPMH did not effect contractility of isolated tracheal smooth muscle. These results suggest a need for further investigation of HST and its components, for its potential in oriental medicine prescriptions and novel agents that effectively regulate (inhibit) mucin secretion from airway goblet cells.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to provide evidence from the literature supportingthe need for women’s health and wellbeing in South Korea. Method: We reviewed the information of national health system by collecting the women’s healthrelated literature of USA, Canada and Australia to compare the South Korea health system to otheradvanced nations. Results: Compared with other advanced countries, women’s health infrastructure of South Koreaseems to be insufficient, in terms of health access and research on women’s health. There are independentdepartments/agencies for women’s health in three advanced nations. These departmentsare responsible for developing national strategies, responding issues of women’s health needs, andimplementing health policies. The governments of these countries support comparatively largescale of funding for projects and research of women’s health. Conclusions: Based on the findings, there is a need for strengthening infrastructure to improvewomen’s health in South Korea. We expect that the reviews presented in this study will serve asthe base for developing policies and health plans for women’s health research in South Korea.

무선 인터넷 기술이 발달하고 게임 시장이 확대됨에 따라 모바일 플랫폼을 포함한 다양한 플랫폼에 탑재되는 다양한 형태의 게임이 개발되고 있다. 이러한 환경에서 게임 사용자 관점의 몰입감을 보장하는 것이 게임의 경쟁력을 확보할 수 있게 되므로 HCI(Human Computer Interaction) 이론에서 제시하는 각 영역을 충족시켜 몰입감을 늘리는 것이 필요하다. 이를 위하여 본 고에서는 게임 사용자의 게임 진행의 자유도를 확보하고 몰입감을 확보하기 위한 방안으로써 인체의 동작을 인식하는 방식의 인터페이스를 적용하여 활강 게임을 구현하고 키오스크에 탑재하여 실험하였다. With the development of wireless Internet technology and the expansion of the game market, various forms of game s are being developed that are mounted on various platforms, including mobile platforms. In this environment, ensuring the immersion of the game user's perspective will secure the game's competitiveness, so it is necessary to increase the immersion by satisfying each area presented by the Human Computer Interaction (HCI) theory. To this end, this high school implemented downhill games and experimented with kiosks by applying an interface that recognizes the human body's movements as a way to secure freedom and immersion of game users.
