금강산 기행가사의 시선과 풍경

기행가사는 일상적 공간의 바깥에서 이루어지는 한시적인 미적 체험으로서 일회적이고 가변적인 정조(情調)를 재현한 문예양식이다. 이 때문에 산수미 보다는 풍경미의 관점에서 분석하는 것이 바람직하다. 풍경이란 시적 주체에 의해 지각되고 체험된 공간인데 이는 관찰자의 시선과 관점에 의해 어느 정도 조경된 공간을 말한다. 이처럼 풍경이란 말 속에는 시선이 전제되어 있고 인위적인 조형의 의미가 내포되어 있다. 금강산 기행가사에 내재된 시선 유형과 풍경을 살펴 본 결과 네 가지 유형으로 나눌 수 있었다. 감각적 시선의 투사와 이의 재현에 의한 즉물적 풍경, 자연에 대한 사색적 관조를 통해 그 이면의 정신을 포착한 풍경, 환상적인 담론과 주관적 정취의 극단에서 펼쳐지는 상상적 풍경, 인간적 삶의 자취를 주목하고 그 역사를 성찰한 문화적 풍경이 바로 그것이다. 금강산 기행가사를 구성하고 있는 네 가지 풍경은 일순간에 탄생된 것이 아니다. 정철의 <관동별곡>으로부터 약 300년에 걸친 장르 발달의 결과로 이루어진 것이다. 금강산 기행가사는 이와 같은 네 가지의 풍경이 작자의 여정을 따라, 시계열적 배열의 장면배치 방식에 의해 파노라마처럼 펼쳐지면서 장대하고도 총체적인 심미성의 풍경으로 되살아난다. Travel lyrics is an realization of an atmosphere which is variable and a one-time experience as a temporary aesthetic experience outside ordinary spaces, so it is advisable to analyze it in the viewpoint of landscape beauty. Landscape is a space which is perceived by poetic viewing point and experienced, which means a space where the landscape is somewhat changed by the viewing point and viewpoint of the viewer. Likewise, the word "landscape" is preconditioned by viewing point and includes the meaning of artificial landscaping. Looking into the viewing point types and landscape included in the Mt. Geumgang Lyrics, it can be divided into four types: A real object landscape by sensual viewing point projection and its realization, a transcending landscape which captured the spirit behind it via a contemplative view of nature, an imaginary landscape which is spread in the extremity of subjective emotions and illusionary conversations, and a cultural landscape which noted the track of human lives and deliberated the history. The four types of landscape which comprise the travel lyrics of Mt. Geumgang were not born at a moment, but resulted from the development of genres which was made over a period of about 300 years from the "Guandong Byeolgok" of Jeong Cheol. Accordingly, the travel lyrics of Mt. Geumgang is reborn as a grand and integral aesthetic landscape as being spread panoramically by the time-order scene-setting method following the journey of the writer.

The purpose of this article is to sketch the nature of the American intellectual tradition, to examine how it has been established, and to understand its crisis stemming from the challenge of Postmodernism.Mainstream American intellectuals always have started with the importance of the individual, the firm recognition of rwality, and the clear understanding of historical continuity cinnecting past, present, and future.As the most important element of the mainstream American intellectual tradition, such an attitude has been the dynamic, driving force in the development of the American national state and American democracy. But Postmodernism denies reality and individual and historical continuity.Disputing all underlying assumptions of the American intellectual tradition, extreme postmodern thinkers deny the social morals of America, objective knowledge about America, and even the very being of the American people.The present American society as well as American tradition are in crisis.But I believe that the crisis can and should be overcome by preserving methods and values from the American intellectual tradition.Mainstream American intellectuals have met the challenges of history in every era, but they have overcome them by adhering to traditional values and ways which have been developed on American soil, just as a seed overcomes the challenges of nature through the fertility of that which surrounds it.

The study is for explaining the matters of sexual desire in Gasa verses printed in newspapers in the period of enlightenment in the connection with female discussion at that time. Sexual restriction was expressly shown in the works of which the poetic objects are female. Enlighteners who regarded the sexual desire except for reproduction as a taboo, seemed to realize a control mechanism by identifying the immoral sexual desire with savagery. Especially the poetic expression of sex formed by severally satirizing Japanese disgusting sexual desire and Japan-friendly persons immoral sexual desire, displayed resistance against the crooked civilization and the promotion of national consciousness. This shows that the sexual discussion was placed between the establishment of national subjectivity to protect national rights and the strategy of national salvation to overcome the Japanese imperialism. In this viewpoint, the control of sexual desire related to sanitation has the same background. Along with this, it cannot be overlooked that the enlighteners were sick of women who started to leave their family which is a closing space and their desire before the new value of sex was established in the unstable age caused by the emancipation of social position and enlightenment. This fact can be found in the poetic expressions of horrible punishment on women who expressed their sexual desire. Womens sex could not escape from the boundary of family and monogamy. Social spaces allowed to women who were born again as the members of people, were just schools and labor markets where they could work for national salvation, education and the promotion of industry.

이 논문은 전자문화지도(Electronic Cultural Atlas)가 지니는 디지털 텍스트로서의 매체 특성과 인문학 연구에서의 활용방법을 모색해보고자 작성한 것이다. 디지털 미디어인 전자문화지도는 문자 텍스트가 지닐 수 없는 중대한 특성을 가지고 있다. 첫째는 인간의 통합적인 지각 조건에 가까운 멀티미디어의 텍스트라는 점이다. 이는 특정한 문화형태의 전자적 재현을 실현시킬 수 있다. 둘째는 하이퍼텍스트로 구현된다는 점이다. 비순차적, 비선형적인 하이퍼텍스트는 독자가 텍스트의 경로를 선택할 수가 있다. 또한 양방향성의 대화적 소통이 가능하기 때문에 여러 사람이 연구에 참여할 수가 있다. 각각의 주제를 지닌 전자지도를 제작하고, 그것을 중첩시켜서 의미를 탐색하는 연구의 목표는 생산적 효과를 가져와야 한다는 점이다. 전자문화지도를 활용한 연구의 결론이 단일한 원리의 추출에 그쳐서는 곤란하다. 전자문화지도는 인문학의 여러 영역들을 가로지르면서 새로운 의미생산을 촉발하는 매체, 또는 도구의 역할을 수행하여야 한다. The purpose of this paper is to study the property of media as a digital text and to search the practical use in the humanities by the using of Electronic Cultural Atlas. The Electronic Cultural Atlas, a digital media, has a special property that cannot be shown in an analog text. Firstly, the Electronic Cultural Atlas is a multi-media text that verges on a synthetic perceptional condition of a human being. It can reproduce the special culture electronically. Secondly, the Electronic Cultural Atlas embodies a hypertext. By a non-ordinal and non-lineal hypertext, we can choose a route of search. In addition, it is possible to communicate in the Electronic Cultural Atlas. Thus many people can take part in the study. The Electronic Cultural Atlas should be a media that promotes a significant study. For this purpose, we have to make the map with various themes. With the Electronic Cultural Atlas, we can expect the multi and interactive research.

미국 자본주의 문명의 통합적 이해

본 논문의 목적은 배영수 교수의 『미국의 자본주의 문명』을 유기적 관점에서분석·비평하는 것이다. 이 책에서 저자는 유기체 철학에서 사용되는 용어들이나화이트헤드를 직접적으로 언급하고 있지는 않지만, 그가 말하는 소위 ‘권력구조’ 를 중심으로 문명과 자본주의를 통합적으로 이해했다는 점에서, 화이트헤드 철학에서 중시하는 합생(concrescence) 및 이행(transition)과 같은 통찰을 보여준다. 통합의 과정을 이해함에 있어서 화이트헤드가 추상화를 배제하고, 사물들의 본질로부터 필연성을 제거하며, 유기적 관계성에 주목했다면, 저자는 역사적 사실들의 구체적 인과관계와 그 복잡성을 강조하며 경제결정론과 유럽중심주의로부터 벗어나고자 한다. 두 거대 역사 세계의 통합에서 보여준 저자의 새로운 개념과 서술방법은 유기적 관점에서 정당하게 이해되고 평가될 수 있을 것이다.
