        Sin Suk Jung has contributed his 50 year-life to Korean literature and Koreans, from starting his literature activities through the 'Poetry-Literature", in 1931 to death. Especially, although we look over only the fact that he did not cease to live by his pen, during the Dark Ages of we Koreans, We can say that he stand high in estimation. ① He has never left "Ho-Nam" region of "Nam-Do", also his first and second poetry almost was written during the Age of Chung-Gu-Won, located at Bu-An. Among his works, his first poetry, "Candle" implies the nature of his poetry in connection with pure nature. ② The poet, Suk Jung has grown with nature, and enlarged the heart that he is willing to weite a poetry through such a nature. ③ We can feel the full poetry-language, together with nature beauty of languages, plants and animals of south region. ④ Among his two poetry, written in the Dark Ages, the second poetry, "Sad Country-Side" shows us the attitude of saviour, through his image that romance light, and any other idea are represented. ⑤ The consciousness of we Koreans was represented by a dense spirit of the poetry, though such a structure together with darkness, nature. ⑥ If his first poetry, "Candle" is a strong tone of the young poem, his second poetry, "Sad Country-Side" Symbolizes intelligence and hardship of we Koreans.

        요골 두 아탈구와 동반된 상완골 내 상과 골절 : 1예 보고 A Case Report

        주관절 손산 중 상완골 내 상과 골절은 단독으로 혹은 주관절 탈구와 동반되어 발생하는 것이 일반적이다. 저자들은 15세 남자 환자의 좌측 요골 두 아탈구가 동반된 상완골 내 상과 골절을 경험하였다. 도수 정복을 시도하였으나 요골 두 아탈구의 정복을 얻을 수 없어 관혈적 정복술로 치료하엿다. 6개월추시 결과 후휴증이 없는 정상적인 관절 상태를 확인할 수 있었다. 연령, 원인 , 손상 기전으로 분석해 보면 이 동반 손상은 발생하기 매우 어렵고, 문헌 탐색 결과 현재까지 동일한 증례를 찾아볼 수 없었으므로 보고하는 바이다. It has been known that fracture of medial epicondylar apophysis of distal humerus may be isolated of associated with elbow deslocations. We have experienced a case which medial epicondylar fracture of the distal humerus was associated with subluxation of the radial head. Initially, we had tried reduction of subluxated radial head by closed method, but failed. Finally open reduction gad been performed. At 6 month after open reduction, clinical and radiological result were excellent. As it is difficult for those associated injuries to occur simultaneously and the similar cases never have been reported yet, we would like to present this case with a review of the literature.

        Regulation of Ethylene Biosynthesis by Phytohormones in Etiolated Rice (Oryza sativa L.) Seedlings

        The gaseous hormone ethylene influences many aspects of plant growth, development, and responses to a variety of stresses. The biosynthesis of ethylene is tightly regulated by various internal and external stimuli, and the primary target of the regulation is the enzyme 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid (ACC) synthase (ACS), which catalyzes the rate-limiting step of ethylene biosynthesis. We have previously demonstrated that the regulation of ethylene biosynthesis is a common feature of most of the phytohormones in etiolated Arabidopsis seedlings via the modulation of the protein stability of ACS. Here, we show that various phytohormones also regulate ethylene biosynthesis from etiolated rice seedlings in a similar manner to those in Arabidopsis. Cytokinin, brassinosteroids, and gibberellic acid increase ethylene biosynthesis without changing the transcript levels of neither OsACS nor ACC oxidases (OsACO), a family of enzymes catalyzing the final step of the ethylene biosynthetic pathway. Likewise, salicylic acid and abscisic acid do not alter the gene expression of OsACS, but both hormones downregulate the transcript levels of a subset of ACO genes, resulting in a decrease in ethylene biosynthesis. In addition, we show that the treatment of the phytohormones results in distinct etiolated seedling phenotypes, some of which resemble ethylene-responsive phenotypes, while others display ethylene-independent morphologies, indicating a complicated hormone crosstalk in rice. Together, our study brings a new insight into crosstalk between ethylene biosynthesis and other phytohormones, and provides evidence that rice ethylene biosynthesis could be regulated by the post-transcriptional regulation of ACS proteins.

      • 테일붐 형상의 무인항공기 구성품 내구성시험 개념설계

        최근 국내에서는 무인 항공기 개발이 활발히 진행되고 있다. 현재 한국항공우주연구원에서는 테일붐 형상의 소형 무인기 개발을 위한 내구성시험을 준비하고 있다. 내구성시험의 대상은 항공기의 일부 구성품에 대한 내구성시험과 동체와 결합이 되는 구성품들과 동체의 연결부에 대한 각각의 국부시험으로 구성 되었다. 본 논문에서는 해당 내구성시험 준비를 위하여 시험장치들에 대한 개념설계에 대해 소개하였다. 개념설계는 요구도를 참고하여 수행하였고 설계의 대상은 주로 하중부가장치, 중량보상장치 등을 다루었다. 또한 시험시간의 단축을 위하여 시험하중 스팩트럼을 수정하였고 이에 대해 소개하였다. UAV development is being accelerated in domestic. Fatigue test of an UAV with tail-boom is being prepared in KARI. The fatigue test consists of component tests and local tests on the interface region between fuselage and component such as tail boom, main wing, landing gears, respectively. Conceptual design on test systems for the fatigue test is introduced briefly in this paper. The conceptual design is conducted based on the test requirement. The introduction is focus to loading system, counterbalance system in this paper. The fatigue test spectrum modified to reduce test conduction period is also introduced shortly in this document.

        The soluble ABA receptor PYL8 regulates drought resistance by controlling ABA signaling in Arabidopsis

        The phytohormone abscisic acid (ABA) mediates plant responses to environmental stresses, including drought stress. Recent identification of a family of soluble ABA receptors has expanded our understanding of ABA signaling in plants. Here, we examined the function of PYL8, which encodes a soluble ABA receptor. Plants overexpressing PYL8 (PYL8ox) showed lower germination rates and more inhibition of root growth than wild-type plants in response to ABA; PYL8ox plants also showed enhanced drought tolerance. By contrast, PYL8-silenced (PYL8i) plants showed less inhibition of root growth in response to ABA; PYL8i plants also showed decreased drought tolerance, compared with wild-type plants. The PYL8ox plants showed higher transcript levels of ABAresponsive genes and PYL8i plants showed lower transcript levels of these genes. Altered expression of PYL8 did not affect expression of other PYL family members. We also found that subcellular localization of PYL8 changed in response to ABA. These results suggest that PYL8 plays an essential role in ABA-mediated developmental processes and drought responses.
