본 논문은 디자인을 전개함에 있어 <미학 오딧세이>의 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 하여 이를 작업에 도입하였다. 미학의 심층적인 고찰을 통해 브랜드 디스플레이와 접목할 수 있는 방향을 모색하려 한다. 본 연구 대상은 2014년 9월 - 12월 15주간 숙명여대 환경디자인과 <전시 디스플레이> 수업에서 진행된 결과물로서 그 이론적 배경과 과정을 서술하여 디스플레이를 융합적 연구방법을 제시한다. 또한 오늘날 다양한 분야에서 대두된 디스플레이 디자인의 새로운 방향적 시각을 제시하고, ‘감성’과 ‘창의성’을 디자인방법 측면에서 분석하여 차별화된 아이디어를 위한 발상법을 제시하는데 본 논문의 목적이 있다. 이러한 다양한 프로세스와 방법을 통해 대중의 미의식 향상과 산업정책의 촉진을 지향하는 정보미디어로서의 디스플레이 디자인을 모색하고, 이의 개념과 역할을 확장하고자 한다. This study develops design based on <Aesthetics Odyssey> and invesgated a way to combine design with aesthetics. The subject of this study is compilation of the work from course products in the <Display & Exhibition Design> at the Department of Environmental Design in Sookmyung Women``s University, which was provided for 15weeks between September and December of 2014. This study aims to find new possibilities of display design, which is on the rise these days, to suggest more esthetic and rich space. Display design plays a role as media information and provides aesthetic sense to the public. There have been various attempts to develop display design.

화랑대 폐역사를 활용한 복합문화공간 계획 -폴딩, 축, 장소성을 중심으로-

본 연구는 화랑대 폐역사 부지에 새로운 의미를 부여해 복합 문화공간으로 거듭나게 하는 일련의 과정들을 밝히는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 대상은 2015년 3월-6월 16주간 숙명여대 환경디자인학과 <공간 디자인 스튜디오> 수업의 결과물로서 10개 팀 중1개 팀의 작업 과제를 정리한 것이다. 연구의 결과,화랑대 주변의 지역 주민들과 자전거 이용객들을 타겟으로 하여 등록문화재로 지정은 되어있으나 소홀한관리로 방치되어 있는 화랑대 역사부지에 복합문화공간을 제안한다. 아울러 화랑대 폐역사에 7가지 각기 다른 특성의 공간을 배치하여 새로운 기능을 부여하였다. 끝으로 본 연구는 현재는 기능을 상실한 채로남아있는 부지를 이용하여 복합문화공간을 개발함에 있어서 문화공간으로서 역사성과 장소성, 자연의 이용, 그리고 형태생성적인 프로세스인 폴딩기법을 연구함에 의의가 있다. This study aims to explicate a series of processes used to develop a complex cultural space on the site of ‘Hwarangdae’, the unused railroad. The study will utilize course products, specifically a compilation of work from one team among ten teams, from a ``Space Design Studio`` course in the Department of Environmental Design in Sookmyung Women``s University, which was provided between March and June, 2015. As a result, we propose a complex cultural space by targeting the local residents and bikers on the site of Hwarangdae’, which are registered cultural properties, but are being neglected.‘Hwarangdae’, the unused railroad, would have seven different spaces each with a different characteristic and new function. Finally, this study is significant in that it uses nature, preserves history and placeness, and applies the process of ‘Folding’ by promoting the unused railroad as a cultural space.
