        16·17 世紀의 庶孼疏通論議에 대하여

        그동안 이 방면의 연구성과의 不振으로 최근까지도 「甲午改革 때 비로소 庶?問題가 一時에 解決되었다」고 한 李相伯의 1950 時代의 주장을 無批判的으로 受容하는 경향이 있어 本 稿에서는 16.17세기의 庶?疏通논의를 動態的으로 分析한 후, 그 효과면을 관계史料에 의거하여 ?證하고자 한다. 다만 本稿의 續籍에 해당하는 18,19세기의 庶?疏通운동에 대하여는 別稿로 다룰까 한다.

        타자인식 변화에 따른 다문화 준거의 변화

        We have recently witnessed an expansion of research interest by social studies educators around the pedagogical issues of multicultural education in Korea. But changing conceptions of "the other" and their social causes have attracted little attention of researchers, in relation to multicultural education. This paper aims at a richer understanding of multicultural education based on the socio-historical understanding of "the other." In the traditional society people seldom made contact with outsiders beyond their group boundary. The outsiders were hostile entities to be distanced from, and conquered if necessary. The concept of "the other" was born, however, when, with the advent of Great Navigation age, people made frequent contacts with outsiders of different racial and cultural traditions. The other was no longer something to be approached solely from insider-centered perspective; other peoples were partners of cultural as well as commercial transactions. This paper has roughly two parts. First, the changing conceptions of "the other" from internationalism, multiculturalism, to globalism will be traced, along with the expansion of life-space from the traditional society to the society of Great Navigation age. And next, an understanding of "the other" most appropriate to our social studies education will be search for, by way of examining four models of understanding of "the other" in American social studies curriculum, reflecting 20th century changing American society. 최근 들어 사회과 연구자들에 의해 다문화 교육과 관련한 수업방법과 그 실천에 관한 연구는 어느 정도 축적되고 있지만, 다문화 교육의 핵심이 되는 ‘타자’에 대한 인식변화의 원인이나, 앞선 시기 미국 사회과 교육과정에 나타난 다문화 준거기준 변화에 대한 연구는 등한시 되어 왔다. 필자는 타자 인식변화의 원인을 사회사적 접근에서 찾음으로써 다문화 교육의 준거를 구체화하였다. 전통사회에서 사람이 살아가는 공간은 자신이 일상 속에 만나는 내집단과 일치하였고, 그 결과 내집단을 벗어난 지역에 사는 외집단 문화를 이해하지 않아도 살아가는 데 아무런 지장이 없었다. 그래서 전통사회 사람들은 자신이 속한 내집단 문화를 준거로 하여 ‘타자’에 대한 이해를 하였다. 그러나 대항해 시대의 시작은 서구인들에게 자신이 속한 내집단 문화와 전혀 다른 다수 사람들을 만나게 하였다. 그 결과 서구인들은 ‘타자’를 내집단 문화를 준거로 하여 인식하던 전통사회 인식방식을 더 이상 유지할 수 없게 되었다. 또한 사람들은 인종간·국가간 문제해결 과정에 내집단 문화를 준거로 한 이해방식이 갈등만 키운다는 사실을 알게 되었다. 본 논문에서 필자는 먼저 타자 인식방법의 변화의 원인을 전통사회에서 대항해 시대로의 변화에 따른 인간의 주관적 공간 확대의 결과에서 찾고자 하였다. 다음으로 미국 사회과에 나타난 타자 인식변화 4단계 모형 변화를 20세기 미국 사회사 변화와 관련하여 분석하고, 이 4단계 모형 변화를 원용하여 우리나라 사회과 교육(국제이해·다문화·세계시민)에 적합한 타자 이해방식의 수준을 밝히고자 하였다.

        The plants medicinal resources of southern area(Soraksan, Bughansan, Odesan, Gwanagsan, Sollaegsan, Gyeryongsan, Sogrisan, Deogyusan, Chinsan, Jogyesan, Mudeungsan, Hallasan) ofkorea were investigated 10 times from May 1,1992 to November 30,1992In order to analyze the vegetation of southem area, medical wild plants structure and distr:~bution.Medical wild plants of southern area consisted of 94 familis,284 specis in all. The resources of impor-tant herb drugs were Polypodiaceae, Graminea, Liliaceae, polygonaceae, Ranunculaceae,Brassicaceae, Rosaceae, Favaceae, Apiaceae, Ldbiatae, Solanaceae, Companulaceae, Compositae.The herb drygs were comparatively more thanin other mounteins in our country.

        Licence and Control in Ulysses: Verbal Play and Sentimentality

        Joyce’s vision of the dynamic tension between static and kinetic impulses that informs Ulysses is faithfully embodied in its aesthetic aspects. On the one hand, the novel, built upon structuring frames of varied levels and patterns, is polished to the utmost by the author’s supreme artistic sense. On the other hand, it is filled with formal excrescences and coarse materials. This conflicting, but interrelated, mode might be discussed in the antithetical terms of licence and control, focusing on two concepts of verbal play and sentimentality. Ulysses never loses control entirely even when indulging in transgressions of normal syntax. For one thing, the dislocation of words is carried out within the limit of the minimal syntactic order needed to convey the meaning of the sentences. That is, the licence of local disordering is under the control of the general order, which, though transgressed superficially or partially, remains intact on the fundamental and potential level. For another, basic sense is never lost in breaking normal linguistic patterns. The changing of ordinary word order, far from a gratuitous caprice, often contributes to effectively convey the relevant thematic meaning or the narrative context. In this way, the kinetic aspects on the formal level suit the main action and theme, which play the role of static factor in the complicated and digressive text. Ulysses contains a lot of sentimental subjects, but it presents them in an unsentimentalised manner. Joyce rarely gives a direct presentation of Bloom’s distracted and sentimental state of mind resulting from Molly’s presumed adultery. By making the scene of adultery take place utterly offstage and just suggesting the effect the adultery has on Bloom’s mind he avoids sentimentality. By the similar token, unlike Bloom who is immersed in the sentimental mood incurred by his dead son’s appearance at the end of Circe, the author distances himself from the scene and provides himself with a broader vision, thereby catching and embedding varied levels of significance. Furthermore, the presentation of the scene is complicated by inversions which imbue it with ironical overtones, a restraining counterpart to the released sentimentality in the situation.         낙상 재현을 위한 보행자 생체 정보 기반의 낙상 유도 시스템 개발

        This paper is about a fall inducement system for guiding like a real fall. Reliable fall data can be used as an essential element in developing effective fall protection devices. We can get this data if the induced fall is very realistic. The proposed system analyzes gait characteristics and determines when to fall based on the pedestrian's biometric data. To estimate the fall inducement time, an active estimation algorithm was proposed using different biometric values for each pedestrian. The proposed algorithm is designed to response actively to the ratio of gait cycle and a stance period. To verify this system, an experimental environment was implemented using a multi-rail treadmill equipped with a ground reaction force measurement device. An experiment was conducted to induce falls to pedestrians using a fall inducement system. By comparing the experimental scene to the video of the actual fall, it has been confirmed that the proposed system can induce a reliable fall.
