        상부 180도 및 하부 180도 선택적 레이저 섬유주성형술의 효과 및 안정성 비교

        Purpose: To compare the intraocular pressure (IOP)-lowering effect and safety between superior 180 degree and inferior 180 degree selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT). Methods: Forty patients with primary open-angle glaucoma and normal tension glaucoma were treated with superior 180-degree SLT, and 28 patients with the same diagnosis were treated with inferior 180-degree SLT. IOP was checked at 1 day, and 1, 2, 3, and 6 months after SLT. Anterior chamber reaction and ocular pain was evaluated at postoperative 1 day. Peripheral anterior synechia was examined at 6 months postoperatively. Results: At the postoperative 6-month follow-up, the superior treatment group had a mean IOP of 15.53 ± 3.49 mm Hg with a mean reduction of 24.6%, while the inferior treatment group had a mean IOP of 17.18 ± 3.29 mm Hg with a mean reduction of 21.9%. There were no significant differences in IOP reduction between the 2 groups. There was a slightly higher anterior chamber reaction rate in the inferior treatment group. Conclusions: The site of SLT application is not important for IOP reduction. Both superior 180 degree and inferior 180 degree SLT are safe and effective procedures for glaucoma treatment because of successful IOP reduction and low complication risks.

        지각(枳穀) 약침이 고지방 식이 급여 흰쥐의 혈액 내 지질구성과 $TNF-{\alpha}$ 및 IL-6농도에 미치는 영향

        Objective : To investigate the effects of Poncirus trifoliata Pharmacopuncture on lowering lipid and contents of serum tumor necrosis $factor-{\alpha}$ $(TNF-{\alpha})$ and interleukin-6 (IL-6) in hyperlipidemic rats. Methods : Triglyceride, total cholesterol, $TNF-{\alpha}$, and IL-6 levels in Poncirus trifoliata Pharmacopuncture groups were compared with those in the control group. Results : Concentration of triglyceride and total cholesterol in plasma was decreased in the Poncirus trifoliata Pharmacopuncture groups. In Poncirus trifoliata Pharmacopuncre groups, plasma LDL-cholesterol showed a lower value and HDL-cholesterol showed a higher value than those of the control group. Contents of $TNF-{\alpha}$ was decreased in the Poncirus trifoliata Pharmacopuncture groups. Contents of IL-6, however, were not significantly different. Conclusions : The results suggest that Poncirus trifoliata Pharmacopuncture may have an impact on lipid metabolism to potentially prevent development of diabetes mellitus and accompanying cerebrovascular diseases.

        Co계 자성합금 나노와이어의 특성에 영향을 미치는 전기화학적 변수

        본 연구에서는 고순도 알루미늄 호일$(t=300{\mu}m)$양극산화 공정을 통해 AAO 나노템플레이트를 자체 제조하였고, 이렇게 제조된 형틀을 가지고 교류 나노전주법에 의해 경자성 합금인 CoP와 연자성 합금인 CoFe를 나노와이어로 제조하였다. 대표적인 Co계 자성합금인 CoP와 CoFe나노와이어는 각기 독특한 자기적 성질을 나타내었다. 경자성 CoP 합금 나노와이어의 경우 교류 인가전압에 따라 hcp와 fcc가 혼재된 구조가 형성되어 자기적 특성에 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 높은 포화자화 값을 갖는 CoFe연자성 합금 나노와이어는 박막 도금 시와는 달리 이상합금도금현상이 거의 나타나지 않았으며 $Co_{30}Fe_{70}$에서 가장 좋은 238emu/g의 포화자화 값을 나타내었다. We have investigated the electrochemical factors affecting the magnetic properties of hard magnetic CoP nanowires and soft magnetic CoFe nanowires fabricated by ac electrodeposition into self-made AAO(anodic aluminum oxide) nano-templates. AAO template having nano scale pores of high aspect ratio has been prepared through 2-step anodizing of aluminum foil in sulfuric acid. Hard Magnetic properties of CoP nanowires were highly conditional on the applied ac potential which could be a decisive factor to make CoP nanowires made up of either pure hcp crystals or a mixture of hop crystals and fcc crystals. On the contrary to CoFe films, there was no anomalous codeposition in the electrodeposition of soft magnetic CoFe nanowires which exhibited their best saturation magnetization of 238 emu/g at the composition of $Co_{30}Fe_{70}$.

        원발성 콩다래끼 환자에서 병소 내 트리암시놀론 주사요법과 절개배농술의 치료 효과 비교

        Purpose: To evaluate the effectiveness of intralesional triamcinolone acetonide injection, and incision and curettage for primary chalazia. Methods: In order to compare the effectiveness of treatment modality, 103 patients who were diagnosed with primary chalazia were divided into 2 groups. The patients in group A underwent intralesional triamcinolone acetonide injection and the patients in group B underwent incision and curettage. The patients were followed up 1 week and 3 weeks after the procedures to identify the regression of the lesion and the procedure complications. A decision regarding success or failure was made at 3 and 6 weeks after the treatment. Successful treatment was defined as the infallibility in the functional and esthetic aspects as well as the size of regressed lesion. Results: This study included 82 out of 103 patients, who satisfied the inclusion criteria. Forty-four patients underwent intralesional triamcinolone acetonide injection and the remaining 38 patients underwent incision and curettage. The success rate of the initial treatment, which was identified 3 weeks after the procedure, was 81.8% in group A and 86.8% in group B. The cumulative success rate of treatment after 6 weeks was 86.8% in group A and 92.1% in group B. No complications were observed with both treatment modalities. Conclusions: Intralesional triamcinolone acetonide injection is as effective and safe as incision and curettage for the treatment of primary chalazia.

        백내장 수술 중 전방으로 관류된 증류수에 의한 각막부종 2예

        Purpose: To report two cases of toxic corneal reaction induced by infusion of distilled water into anterior chamber during cataract surgery. Case summary: The first case was a 60-year-old female who was inadvertently infused with distilled water for 20 minutes during phacoemulsification in place of balanced salt solution (BSS). The second case was a 70-year-old male who received anterior chamber irrigation with distilled water for approximately 1 minute then and then immediately irrigated with BSS as soon as the mistake was identified. In both cases, topical 1% prednisolone acetate and 5% NaCl solution was immediately administered every hour as well as oral prednisolone at 1 mg/kg for one week after which the dose was slowly tapered. The first case completely returned to normal after 3 months, whereas the second case only requied 1 month to return to pre-surgery conditions. Conclusions: Patients who were exposed to distilled water within the anterior chamber resulted in corneal endothelial damage and corneal edema proportionate to the amount irrigated. However, The corneal edema gradually healed with treatment and eventually regained translucency without complications, completely. J Korean Ophthalmol Soc 2011;52(4):483-486

        지각과민 처치제 도포 후 칫솔질에 의한 마모가 상아질 투과도에 미치는 영향

        To study the effect of dentin permeability on a tooth with wear from tooth brushing after application of desensitizing agent, extracted teeth free from caries were chosen. Coronal dentin discs with thickness of 1mm were prepared. Using the split chamber device developed by Pashely, hydraulic conductance, scanning electron microscope images(SEM) and atomic force microscope images(AFM) were compared and contrasted before and immediately after the application of desensitizing agent and after equivalent tooth brushing of 1 week, 2 weeks, and 6 weeks. Four commercially available desensitizing agents were used in this study ; they were Gluma, Seal & Protect, All-Bond 2 and MS Coat. The results of this study are as follows. 1. On all specimens, the hydraulic conductance decreased after the application of tooth desensitizing agent. 2. Except the specimens treated with MS Coat, the remaining specimens had an increase in dentin permeability after tooth brushing for 1 and 2 weeks but a decrease after 6 weeks. 3. The specimens treated with MS Coat had statistically significant increase in the dentin permeability regardless with the duration of tooth brushing. 4. On examination of SEM and AFM, the dentinal tubule diameter had decreased after treatment of desensitizing agents. The specimens other than those treated with MS Coat, smear layers were noted after tooth brushing. It is not always consistant but the hydraulic conductance correlated with the images from SEM and AFM.
