        도인승기탕에 의한 당뇨병성 혈관장애 개선효과

        Objectives : Diabetes mellitus is the leading cause for vascular complications such as atherosclerosis. The present study is to investigate whether Doinseunggi-tang (DST) improves diabetic vascular dysfunction in type II diabetes. Methods : The db/db mice were treated with high fat/high cholesterol diet and DST (200 mg/kg/day) for 8 weeks. Results : DST significantly lowered blood glucose and systolic blood pressure. In addition, DST also markedly decreased total plasma cholesterol, triglyceride, and LDL-cholesterol, whereas increased the HDL-cholesterol. Vascular relaxation of aortic rings by acetylcholine or SNP was ameliorated by DST in a dose-dependent manner. Damage of vascular intima and hypertrophic of media was improved by DST. Immunohistological study revealed that DST attenuated the increase of ICAM-1, VCAM-1, and ET-1 expression in thoracic aorta. Conclusions : Taken together, DST suppressed hyperglycemia and diabetic vascular dysfunction in type II db/db mice. The present data suggests that Doinseunggi-tang may be prevent a development of diabetic atherosclerosis.

        고지혈증 동물모델에서 홍삼과 천마 혼합투여에 의한 혈관 염증 개선연구

        Objectives : This experimental study was designed to investigate the inhibitory effects of combination with Korean red ginseng and Gastrodia rhizoma on vascular dysfunction in high-fat/cholesterol diet-induced hyperlipidemia. Methods : Sprague-Dawley rats were fed with 7.5% cocoa butter and 1.25% cholesterol for 10 weeks, with Panax ginseng (PG), and mixtures of Panax ginseng and Gastrodia rhizoma (PGM), respectively. Results : Chronic treatment with PG and PGM significantly decreased body weight. The aortic expression of cell adhesion molecules such as intracellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1), vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1), and E-selectin were markedly increased in hyperlipidemia rats. Interestingly, PGM significantly decreased cell adhesion molecules expression. However, there was no significant decrease in PG group. In addition, PG and PGM group inhibited high-fat/cholesterol diet-induced cytokine such as monocyte chemoattractant protein (MCP-1) mRNA expression. Furthermore, PG and PGM group significantly decreased c-reactive protein protein (CRP) level. Especially, PGM significantly accentuated the decrease of MCP-1 mRNA expression and CRP level. Conclusions : the present study provides an evidence that combination with Panax ginseng and Gastrodia rhizoma enhances anti-vascular protective effects through suppression of vascular inflammation in hyperlipidemic rats.

        Salmonella typhimurium 에서 무산소 환경 유도유전자들에 대한 조절유전자들의 특성 및 클로닝

        New regulatory loci which participate in the anaerobic environment inducible gene(ani) expression in Salmonella typhimurium were identified. These regulators (oxr) showed negative regulatory effect on the anaerobiosis inducible operon fusions of this organism in aerobic environment (oxr 107 and oxr 108 to ani 2001, oxr 109 to ani 2007). They were identified as the trans-acting regulators, and increased β-galactosidase activity of ani-lacZ fusion strains up to about 10-240 fold in aerobic environment. By using the library of S. typhimurium chromosomal DNA, two negative regulators (oxr 101 and oxr 109) were cloned. The insert fragment of each clone, pPK32 for oxr 101 and pPK33 to oxr 109 were 7.8Kb and 9.3Kb, respectively. The recombinant plasmid pPK32 didn`t complement the mutation effect of oxr 101 on minimal media but rich media, pPK33 complemented the mutation effect of oxr 109 on both minimal and rich media.

        균형측 교합장애로 인한 하악운동 및 저작근 활성도의 변화에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of balancing interference on the mandibular movement and masticatory muscle activity. 5 subjects(male. average age of 24.3) without dysfuction in masticatory system were selected. The balancing interference was provided by construction of cast metal crown and onlay on the upper and lower first molars. Clinical examination, changes displacement and velocity, and muscle activity were recorded and analyzed by means of BioPak system(Bioresearch Inc., Milwaukee Wisconsin. USA). The results were as follows ; 1. In clinical examination, various symptoms were reported by all subjects after application of interference. Almost symptoms were subsided after elimination of interference. 2. In the border movements in frontal plane, lateral border movement toward non-interference side was changed according to the interference after application of interference. Immediately after removal of interference, border movements' pattern was recovered as same as before experiment. 3. During gum chewing on the non-interference side, horizontal movement was decreased immediately after application of interference(p<0.05). 1 week after application of interference, horizontal movement was more decreased in 3 subjects and showed a chopping type masticatory stroke. But in 2subjects, horizontal movement was increased to avoid interference. 4. In EMG of the mandibular rest position, no significant changes were showed in the experiment period(p>0.05). 5. During gum chewing on the interference side, the activity of opposite temporal muscle was increased immediately after application of interference(p<0.05). 1 week after application of interference. The activity of ipsilateral temporal muscle and left and right masseter muscles was increased (p<0.05). 1 week after elimination of interference, increased muscle activity was recovered about the same level as before experiment. 6. During gum chewing on the non-interference side, 1 week after application of interference, the activity of ipsilateral temporal muscle was increased (p<0.05). 1 week after elimination of interference. increased muscle activity was returned about the same level as before experiment.

        유지요소의 크기와 형태가 간접복합레진과 금속간의 결합강도에 미치는 영향

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of sire and shape of retention element on the bond strength of indirect composite resin and metal. Material and method: The metal disk specimens, each 6mm in diameter, were cast from CrCo alloy. They were divided into 8 groups by applied retention element. retention bead group $B2\;({\phi}\;0.2mm),\;B4\;({\phi}\;0.4mm),\;B6\;({\phi}\;0.6mm),\;B8\;({\phi}\;0.8mm)$, retention crystal group C2 (0.2mm), C5 (0.5mm), C8 (0.8mm) and sandblasting group SB ($110{\mu}m\;Al_2O_3$ blasting) as control. Eighty-eight metal specimens were veneered with $TESCERA^{(R)}$ Indirect resin system. One specimen of each group was sectioned and the resin-metal bonding pattern at the interface was observed under measuring microscope. Other specimens were then tested for tensile bond strength on an Instron universal testing machine at a crosshead speed of 2mm/min. Results: 1. Compared to sandblasting, beads or crystals increased the resin-metal bond strength (P<.05). 2. 0.2mm retention crystals were most effective in improving the resin-metal bond strength (P>.05). 3. 0.2mm beads showed the highest bond strength among retention bead groups, but there was no statistically significant difference (P>.05). 4. Retention crystals tend to be higher in bond strength than retention beads due to wider surface area. 5. The larger retention element, the larger the undercut for the mechanical retention, but the gap at resin-metal interface was also increased. Conclusion: Within the limitations of this study, 0.2mm retention crystals were most effective in improving the resin-metal bond strength.

        사체를 이용한 아래눈꺼풀지방의 해부학적 연구

        Purpose: This study investigated the anatomy of infraorbital fat and the relationship between surrounding structures and infraorbital fat. Methods: Forty-one orbits from adult Korean cadavers were dissected. Among them 20 orbits were male and 21 orbits were female. The cadavers were perfused and embalmed in formalin solution. The skin and orbicularis oculi muscle were dissected to expose the arrangement and compartments of infraorbital fat. A punctal probe was used to find a deeper fat compartment lying under the another compartment. The width of each compartment and the distances from the inferior orbital rim and from the lower lid margin to the topmost point of each compartment were measured using a digital caliper. The distance from the top of the medial compartment and lower lid margin to the first appearance of the inferior oblique muscle, located between the medial and the central fat compartments, were measured, respectively. Results: The width of the medial compartment was 11.49±2.54 mm, the central compartment was 21.78±5.69 mm, and the lateral compartment was 17.94±4.99 mm. The distance from the inferior orbital rim to the medial compartment was 8.13±2.72 mm, to the central compartment was 9.91±3.44 mm, to the lateral compartment was 9.58±3.76 mm. The distance from the lower lid margin to the medial compartment was 5.55±1.22 mm, to the central compartment was 7.09±3.22 mm, and to the lateral compartment was 5.41±3.07 mm. The distance from the inferior oblique muscle to the medial compartment was 9.09±2.63 mm, and to the lower lid margin was 13.60±2.27 mm. Conclusions: Our study evaluates the normal anatomy of the infraorbital fat compartments in Korean patients and suggests a useful index for lower blepharoplasty and lower orbital surgery.

      • 마스크 착용 상태에서의 딥러닝 기반 수화 번역 알고리즘 설계

        본 논문에서는 딥러닝을 기반으로 하는 마스크 착용 및 미착용 상태에서의 표정 분석과 한글 및 영어 수화 번역 알고리즘을 설계한다. 표정 분석 알고리즘은 convolutional neural networks (CNN) 구조로 모델을 구현하였고, open source computer vision (OpenCV)를 통해 얼굴을 감지하여 학습한다. 또한 수화 번역 알고리즘도 CNN을 사용하여 구현하고, OpenCV와 you only look once (YOLO)를 이용하여 손을 인식하여 학습한다. 성능 평가에선 각 동작 및 표정마다 1000장씩 test하여 OpenCV를 이용한 한글 자음 및 모음의 경우 95 %, YOLO를 이용한 영문 알파벳의 경우 object detection의 성능 지표인 mean average precision를 기준으로 97 %의 정확도를 얻는다.

        무덥던 여름이 지나가고 조금씩 선선한 바람이 부는 계절이 돌아오고 있다. 더위에 지친 사람들과 동물들에게는 반가운 가을이지만, 조류인플루엔자(AI; Avian Influenza)라고 하는 질병 때문에라도 양계농가에서는 마냥 느긋하게 즐길 수만은 없는 계절이기도 하다. 우리나라는 2008년 5월 발생을 마지막으로 H5N1형의 고병원성 조류인플루엔자(HPAI)가 종식되어 현재는 HPAI 청정국 상태를 유지하고 있다. 하지만 세계적으로 HPAI 발생이 지속되고 있어 재유입의 가능성이 상존하고 있고, 이전 우리나라에서의 발생이 모두 봄 가을 철새 이동시기에 있었던 점, 그리고 인플루엔자 바이러스의 특성상 저온 환경에서 오래 생존할 수 있는 점 등을 생각하면 환경 온도가 낮은 가을에서 다음해 봄까지 기간이 아무래도 문제가 될 수 있는 시기라 하겠다. 따라서 본 원고에서는 우리나라 주변국을 중심으로 세계의 AI 발생현황을 알아보고 다가오는 계절에 대비하여 농가에서 지켜야 할 예방수칙에 대해 간략히 소개해 보고자 한다.

        LPS에 의한 급성 폐손상에서 게르마늄에 의한 폐포-모세혈관 장벽의 변화

        급성호흡곤란증후군은 다양한 원인에 의해 발생하는 급성 염증성 폐질환으로써 폐포-모세혈관 장벽의 파괴로부터 기인하며 파괴 기전에 호중구가 중요한 역할을 담당한다. 이에 대한 게르마늄의 항염증 효과 즉, 호중구의 폐조직 내 유주 억제로 인한 폐포-모세혈관의 손상의 감소로 폐손상이 경감되는지를 확인하고자 하였다. 실험군은 생리식염수를 투여한 대조군(CON), 내독소 5시간 투여군(LPS), 그리고 게르마늄 1시간 전처리 후 내독소 5시간 투여군(Ge+LPS)으로 나누었으며, 내독소는 $100{\mu}g$을 0.5 mL 생리식염수에 녹여 기도내로 분무하고, 게르마늄은 체중 100 g당 26 mg을 복강으로 투여하였다. 내독소의 주입으로 급성 폐손상을 유도시킨 내독소 투여군에서는 대조군과 비교하여 폐부종(p<0.001), 기관지폐세척액 내 단백질 함량(p<0.05), 호중구의 침윤(p<0.001)이 현저히 증가하였으나 게르마늄을 전처리 한 군은 내독소 투여군과 비교하여 모든 항목에서 유의하게 감소하였다. 현미경을 통한 관찰 결과에서도 게르마늄 전처리군은 내독소 투여군에 비해 내피세포, 제I형 폐포세포, 기저판으로 구성된 폐포-혈관장벽의 구조가 비교적 잘 보존되었고, 제II형 폐포세포의 Lamellar body와 미세융모 그리고 기저판의 구조도 비교적 정상적으로 보존된 상태로 나타났다. 그러므로 게르마늄은 항염증물질로 작용, 즉 호중구의 폐조직 내로의 유주현상을 방해하여 활성화된 호중구의 독성물질로 인한 폐포-모세혈관의 손상을 감소시킬 수 있었으므로 결과적으로 내독소로 유도된 폐손상은 게르마늄의 전처리에 의해 억제되었다고 판단된다. Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), also known as an acute inflammatory lung disease is developed by various factors that is originated from the destruction of alveolar-capillary barrier, and neutrophils plays an important role in the destruction. The study intended to confirm, the anti-inflammatory effect of germanium, whether a lung injury has been mitigated with the reduction of injury in alveolar-capillary barrier resulting from inhibition of neutrophils migration in lung tissue. Test groups were divided in saline administered CON, 5 hours of endotoxin administered LPS and 5 hours of endotoxin administered Ge+LPS following 1 hours of pre-processed germanium. $100{\mu}g$ endotoxin was melted in 0.5 mL saline and sprayed into airway and 26 mg germanium per 100 g weight was administered into abdominal cavity. The endotoxin group which induced an acute lung injury with administered endotoxin showed dramatic increase of pulmonary edema (p<0.001), protein contents in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid, BALF (p<0.05) and neutrophils of infiltration in BALF (p<0.001) comparing with a control group, while a pre-treated germanium group showed significant decrease in all categories comparing to the endotoxin administerd group. In the result of a microscopic observation, the structure of alveolar-capillary barrier which is constructed with basal lamina, alveolar type I cells and endothelial cell were preserved of the pre-treated germanium group relatively well compare to the endotoxin administered group. And the construction of lamellar body, microvilli and basal lamina of alveolar type II cells were also preserved relatively well. Hence, germanium activates as an anti-Inflammatory mediator in other words, it interfered neutrophils migration into lung tissue, thereby reduced injury of alveolar-capillary barrier from toxic substances of activated neutrophils. Consequently, the study has determined that the acute lung injury induced by endotoxin has been decreased by the pre-treated germanium.

        경계 차감 클러스터링에 기반한 클러스터 개수 추정 화자식별

        본 논문에서는 화자식별을 위한 특징벡터의 새로운 클러스터링 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 클러스터 센터에 대한 초기값 설정과 클러스터 개수에 대한 사전 정보 없이 클러스터링이 가능하다. 각 클러스터 센터는 경계 차감 클러스터링 알고리즘으로 한 번에 한 개의 클러스터 센터가 추가됨으로써 순차적으로 구해지며, 클러스터 개수는 클러스터간의 상호관계를 조사하여 결정된다. 인공 생성 데이터 및 TIMIT 음성을 이용하여 실험한 결과로부터 제안된 방법이 기존의 방법보다 우수함을 확인하였다. In this paper we propose a new clustering algorithm that performs clustering the feature vectors for the speaker identification. Unlike typical clustering approaches, the proposed method performs the clustering without the initial guesses of locations of the cluster centers and a priori information about the number of clusters. Cluster centers are obtained incrementally by adding one cluster center at a time through the boundary subtractive clustering algorithm. The number of clusters is obtained from investigating the mutual relationship between clusters. The experimental results for artificial datum and TIMIT DB show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm as compared with the conventional methods.
