In a specific forming application of kitchen ware, such as a deeper sink, type 304 stainless steel requires good drawability and stretchability. The formability of type 304 stainless steel sheets is decisively influnenced by the alloy composition. This paper describes the alloy design of type 304 stainless steels for the improvement of formability at the lowest cost. With the aid of a regression analysis model, the modified type 304 stainless steel have been developed for the specific forming application. The calculated results from the regression model have a good agreement with the measured results from the commercial forming operation.

The effects of micro-alloying elements such as Ti, Nb, Al, Cu on corrosion properties were investigated. The intergranular corrosion attack(IGC) was examined with several tests such as strauss test, EPR(Electropotentiokinetic Reactivation), 40% HNO₃etching to find out the optimum of the stabilizing ratio(=(Ti+ Nb)/(C+N)). The effects of A1 and Cu were studied with inclusion analysis, corrosion tests, passive film analysis. The minimum stabilizing ratio was 9 and the dual stabilization was required to more effectively prevent intergranular corrosion attack. The addition of A1 and Cu improved crevice corrosion resistance as well as pitting resistance. The effect of A1 and Cu could be explained with decrease of area fraction covered by inclusion and redeposition of Cu, respectively.

This study conducted underwater visual census (UVC) and eDNA metabarcoding to survey fish fauna in the coastal waters off Busan (Cheongsapo) and Ulsan (Bangeojin), Southeast sea of Korea, after which the two survey methods were compared. A total of 49 species were identified in Cheongsapo (eDNA metabarcoding: 29 species; UVC: 29 species) and 60 were identified in Bangeojin (eDNA metabarcoding: 43 species; UVC: 30 species), which accounted for 70 species in both areas. Except for 13 species without GenBank sequence data, 80% of the species detected using UVC were detected through eDNA metabarcoding. In addition, eDNA metabarcoding enabled the detection of 33 species that were otherwise not detected by UVC. Thus, eDNA can be used to conduct fast and wide fish diversity surveys and is applicable to microhabitats in coastal areas. Therefore, eDNA could become an important complement to traditional surveys for monitoring marine biodiversity.
Burley종 담배의 생엽 장폭 측정에 의한 건엽면적과 건엽중의 추정

담배엽 수량 구성 요인 중에서 가장 큰 비중을 차지하고 있는 엽면적이나 엽중을 용역하게 측정 할수 있는 방법을 모색코자 담배 생엽장x생엽폭의 값과 생엽면적, 건엽면적, 건엽중과의 관계 또는 생엽면적과 건엽면적, 건엽중과의 관계를 분석한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 중, 본엽의 생, 건엽장과 폭은 KB103이 가장 크고 KB101과 Burley21은 비슷하였다. 2. 중, 본엽의 생, 건엽면적과 생, 건엽중은 KB103 > Burley21 > KB101 순이었다. 3. 생엽장x생엽폭의 값과 생엽면적, 건엽면적, 건엽중과의 사이에는 1% 수준의 고도 유의성 관계가 3개 품종 중, 본엽에서 모두 인정되었다. 4. 생엽면적과 건엽면적, 건엽중과의 사이에는 1% 수준의 고도 유의성 관계가 3개 품종 중, 본엽에서도 모두 인정되었다. The study was conducted to investigate the relationships between the value of fresh leaf lengh ~times width and actual fresh or cured leaf area, Cured leaf weight of cutter and leaf in Burley tobacco plants. In all tested varieties, Actual fresh leaf area or cured leaf area, cured leaf weight was high significantly correlated with the value of fresh leaf length ~times width. The linear regression equation between them could be exploited for rapid and easy estimation of either fresh or cured leaf area, cured leaf weight. Highly significant correlation between fresh leaf area and cured leaf area or cured leaf weight was confirmed and a linear regression equation was also obtained for easy estimation of cured leaf area or cured leaf weight.

The spawning characteristics of Hexagrammos agrammus and Hexagrammos otakii was directly observed in coastal regions of the Yellow Sea and South Sea during the spawning seasons using scuba diving. The territorial male H. agrammus showed different body size, nuptial coloration and nest location compared to those of H. otakii, even though both species caring egg masses were found at the almost same depths. In the West sea, a relatively small guardian H. agrammus male protects 1-2 egg masses laid on a clump of red algae within his territory. The territorial males in red nuptial coloration and their egg masses were well camouflaged in their surroundings. Contrary to H. agammus, a guardian H. otakii male in yellowish nuptial coloration protects 4-8 egg masses in a nest. In addition, their nests were located on the relatively open environments such as discarded fishing nets, rock crevices and a clump of algae. The results of present study shows that even though both of two species belonged to Hexagrammidae, they have different strategies for spawning and protecting their egg masses. 이번 연구에서는 서해와 남해에 서식하는 노래미(Hexagrammos agrammus)와 쥐노래미(Hexagrammos otakii)의 산란특성 연구를 위해 2012년 11월부터 12월까지 스쿠버다이빙을 통한 잠수조사를 실시하였다. 서해에서는 수심 6-7 m의 크고 작은 암반지역 위에 있는 홍조류에 노래미 난괴가 간격을 두고 부착되어 있었으며, 난괴 주변에도 홍조류가 많이 분포하고 있었다. 산란기의 노래미 수컷은 붉은색의 혼인색을 띄며 난괴를 보호하고 있었고, 수정란과 함께 은폐되어 눈에 잘 띄지 않았다. 남해의 경우 수심은 서해와 같은 6-7 m이지만, 사질 및 암반에 놓인 폐그물 위, 바위 틈, 해조가 무성한 암반지역 등 비교적 다양한 곳에 노출되어 있는 4-8개의 쥐노래미 난괴를 확인할 수 있었으며, 서해와는 다르게 외부에 노출되고 조류소통이 좋은 지역에서 난괴가 확인되었으며, 쥐노래미 수컷의 혼인색은 황금빛을 띄고 있어 쉽게 발견할 수 있었다.
