The purpose of this paper was evaluate the specificity of maximal oxygen uptake and anaerobic threshold which is indicator of cardio- respiratory function during incremental load exercise using treadmill, also. Twenty of elite middle and long distance runners participated as subjects of this research. By measurement the specificity of cardio-fulmonary function and blood component in middle and long distance runners, the conclusion and results which is obtained is as follows: 1.Maximal oxygen uptake of absolute and relative value during maximal exercise load in middle and long distance runners was display 4.23±0.421/min & 71.2/㎖/kg/min, respectively, also, maximal ventilation and maximal heart rate was expressed 146± 18.861/min & 192.25 ± 7.61beats/min, respectively. 2.Oxygen uptake and relative percentage of maximal oxygen uptake in the anaerobic threshold levels of middle and long distance runners was shown 3.55± 0.491/min(46.54㎖/kg/min) 72.81±8.86%, respectively and ventilation, heart rate and relative percentage of maximal heart rate was expressed 95.09 ± 16.951/min, 176.54 ± 9.79beats/min and 91.62 ±3.90%, respectively. 3.Concentration of plasma lactate(t-value:-3.65, p<0.003), glucose (t-value:-4.52, p<0.02) In blood component of middle and long distance runners was display the significantly difference between pre and post value after maximal incremental exercise load.
CO<sub>2</sub> 포집 공정설계를 위한 KIERSOL흡수제의 물성 연구

화학 흡수제를 이용한 습식 흡수법은 석탄화력발전소 연소배가스 (약 13% CO<sub>2</sub> 포함)에서 CO<sub>2</sub>를 포집하는데 가장 적합한 기술이다. Monoethanolamine (MEA) 공정은 기술 성숙도가 높은 상용 공정으로 이후 개발된 기술들의 비교 기준이 되고 있다. 이 중 흡수제의 물리적 특성은 공정을 구성하는 펌프, 밸브, 파이프, 열교환기, packing material 등의 설계에 중요한 요소이다. 본 연구에서는 기존 연구에서 CO<sub>2</sub> 포집성능의 우수성이 입증된 KIERSOL 흡수제의 밀도, 점도, 증기압을 30°C~80°C 온도에서 측정하여 실험식을 도출하였다. 일반적인 흡수탑 온도인 40°C에서 KIERSOL 흡수제는 30wt% MEA 수용액에 비해 높은 밀도와 낮은 점도를 나타내었다.

Objective: This study investigated two cases of Korean medical treatment for visual field impairment after stroke: Case 1, a 56-year-old male with a posterior cerebral artery infarction and right homonymous hemianopsia, and Case 2, a 46-year-old male with an intracerebral hemorrhage in the left parietal lobe and right homonymous hemianopsia. Methods: Case 1 was treated with acupuncture, electroacupuncture, and herbal medicine (Mangeum-tang) for two months, and Case 2 was treated with acupuncture, electroacupuncture, and herbal medicine (Oryeong-san) for 40 days. Results: Following treatment, for Case 1, the Humphrey visual field test showed improvement. The visual field indexes (VFIs) for the left and right eyes improved from 44% to 55% and 49% to 64% respectively, and the mean deviations (MDs) for the left and right eyes improved from -21.11 dB to -19.91 dB and -17.45 dB to -13.89 dB, respectively. The mean visual sensitivities (MVSs) of the left and right eyes also improved from 8.67 dB to 11.33 dB and 1.67 dB to 9.67 dB, respectively, with no side effects. For Case 2, the VFI for the left eye improved from 36% to 64% and that for the right eye remained unchanged. The MDs for the left and right eyes also improved from -22.02 dB to -14.47dB and -22.11 dB to -21.34 dB, respectively, with no side effects. Conclusions: This study suggests that Korean medical treatment may improve visual impairment after stroke, but further research is needed.
Cyclic Lateral Performance Evaluation of Precast Double-Skinned Composite Tubular Columns

Recently, bridge construction technology has experienced great progress with the development of high-performance materials and new structural types. On the contrary, most attention has been primarily paid to cast-in-place technologies and material cost savings. Even so, cast-in-place methods may present environmental issues at the construction sites, which frequently cause conflicts with residents. Thus, to overcome such disadvantages, precast methods have been strongly developed and especially applied in the construction of bridge superstructures. However, this has not been the case for substructures. Still, previous works on the development of precast solutions for such type of structures have been devoted to the design of double-skinned composite tubular (DSCT) columns. These studies included the design and construction methodology of precast segmental bent caps, column-bent cap, column-segment, and column-foundation joints. In this paper, the cyclic performance of precast DSCT columns was extensively analyzed experimentally. For this purpose, two test specimens were prepared, depending on the type of the segments connection, namely a splice plate and a mortar-grouting joint.
자연과학편 : 간헐적(間歇的) 800m 운동시(運動時) 젖산과 Glucose 의 변화(變化)

This study was to investigate the change of the concentration of blood lactate, glucose and the each records of 6 sets for 800m intermittent exercise. The 20 subjects were middle and long distance run-athletes.The conclusions :1. The changes of records of 800m intermittent exerise were shown significantly the difference between its records during lst performance to 3rd one, but the rests were not shown a signficant relationship.2. The level of concentration of blood lactate was presented gradually increment through-out each exercises. The amounts of increment were shown a significant level of p<0.01 during 1st performance to 3rd one in comparison to the level of rest.3. The level of concentration of glucose between 800m intermittent exercise was increased significantly (p<0.03) as compared with one rest. On a view of tendency of the change, its level was increased during lst and 2nd performance but was shown a tendency of decrement during 3rd one. Then its level was increased again during 4th one and was decreased during 5th and 6th one on comparison to 4th one.
