Objective : Hyperuricemia is a metabolic disease characterized by elevated blood uric acid levels, and its prevalence is rapidly increasing worldwide. Alpiniae Oxyphyllae Fructus (AO) belonging to Zingiberaceae is one of well-known traditional medicines in China and Korea, and has been used to treat intestinal disorders, urosis, diuresis, and chronic glomerulonephritis traditionally. However, the effect of AO has not been studied. In this study we investigated the anti-hyperuricemic effect of AO, and the mechanisms underlying the effect in potassium oxonate (PO)-induced hyperuricemic rats. Methods : To examine the anti-hyperuricemic effects of the AO extract, serum uric acid levels were analyzed in normal and PO-induced hyperuricemic rats. The mechanism underlying the effects of the AO extract on uric acid levels was studied through xanthine oxidase (XOD) activity test and uric acid uptake assay in vitro. The chemical finger printing of the AO extract was analyzed using HPLC-DAD. Results : The AO extract significantly reduced serum uric acid levels in normal as well as PO-induced hyperuricemic rats. It also significantly inhibited the uptake of uric acid in oocytyes and human embryonic kidney cells (HEK293) expressing urate transporter (URAT)1, but not XOD activity in vitro. The chemical finger printing analysis of the AO extract showed nootkatone as a main component. Conclusion : The AO extract exhibits anti-hyperuricemic effects, and these effect were accompanied by increasing excretion of uric acid in kidney. Therefore, the AO extract could be used for prevention or treatment of hyperuicemia and gout.

An electrically conductive and transparent electrode was created by applying a dispersion of pristine single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) and silver nanowires to a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film using a bar coating method. The SWCNTs were added to increase the electrical conductivity and transmittance of the silver nanowires while also preventing the haze from increasing due to the stacking of multiple layers containing SWCNTs and silver nanowires on the PET substrate. The silver nanowires in the electrode were also found to be stable against oxidation. The transparent electrode displayed excellent electrical and optical properties, with a sheet resistance of 47 Ω/□, transmittance of 96.72%, and haze of 1.93%. Additionally, the sheet resistance of the electrode remained stable over time, with a change of only 6.4% after a constant temperature and humidity test, making it suitable for long-term use. A hybrid transparent electrode that is economically feasible and environmentally sustainable has been developed through the utilization of pristine SWCNT and silver nanowire.

This paper is proposed an adaptive fuzzy controller of induction motor drive. The adaptive fuzzy controller approach for an estimate of the rotor time constant, which is used to adjust the estimate of the slip angular speed. An estimate of the rotor time constant was obtained using an model reference adaptive system(MRAS) in a fuzzy control scheme. The rotor time constant was estimated by utilizing the rotor flux estimates. This paper is proposed the theoretical analysis as well as the simulation results to verify the effectiveness of the new method.

본 연구에서는 온라인 자기주도학습 수업이 대학생의 자기주도학습력을 향상시키는데 효과가 있는 지를 확인하는데 목적을 두고 실험연구로 진행하였다. 이를 위하여 온라인 자기주도학습 수업을 실시하기 전과 후에 사전, 사후검사로 자기주도학습력 검사(Lee, Park, & Kim, 2017)를 실시하여, 대학생의 자기주도적 학습력 향상에 미치는 수업 효과를 확인하였다. 또한 온라인 자기주도학습 수업에 참여한 대학생들의 자기주도학습력 향상도가 학년, 전공에 따라 어떤 차이가 있는지를 확인하였는데. 이 결과는 앞으로 대학에서 대학생 개인의 자기주도학습력(인지, 정의, 행동)을 향상시킬 수 있는 온라인 자기주도학습 교육과정을 추가적으로 개발하는데 시사점을 제공할 수 있다고 보았다. 이와 같은 목적으로 2017년 2학기에 온라인 자기주도학습 수업에 참여한 378명의 대학생들을 대상으로 단일집단 실험설계를 하였고, 수업 전과 후에 사전, 사후 검사를 통해 대응표본 t-test 및 일원분산분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 온라인 자기주도학습 수업을 수강한 대학생들의 자기주도학습력은 수업 전에 비해 유의한 차이가 있었다. 부가적으로, 온라인 자기주도학습 수업에서 토론 참여여부가 자기주도학습력을 향상시키는데 도움이 되는 지를 확인하였는데, 그 결과에서 온라인으로 토론 주제를 주고 자유롭게 토론하게 하는 정도로는 토론집단과 비토론 집단 간 차이를 유발시키지는 못하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 대학생의 자기주도적 학습력 향상을 위해 대학에서 효과적인 온라인학습을 어떤 내용과 방법으로 실시할 것인지에 관해 대안을 마련할 수 있는 계기가 되기를 기대한다. The purpose of this study was to propose an effective university lecture course to enhance self-directed learning ability of university students by confirming whether online class is effective for improving self-directed learning ability of university students. Accordingly self-directed learning test (Lee, Park, & Kim, 2017) was conducted before and after the on-line self-directed learning lesson. This study examined the effect of online self-directed learning on the self-directed learning of university students. In addition, researchers intended to identify the differences in the degree of self-directed learning among university students participating in online self-directed learning class by gender, grade and major, and to provide suggestions for developing self-directed learning curriculum. The results of this study are expected to provide an opportunity for college students to improve their self-directed learning ability and to find out what contents and methods will be effective on the online learning of university students.
