People have been worrying about exaggerated bad effect of acid rain, which has been the obstacle for promotion of rainwater harvesting. We measured the corrosion rate of rainwater and introduce several cases of full-scale application of rainwater harvesting system in Korea. The corrosion rate of rainwater becomes less after it hits the roof and stored. The corrosion rate is much less than tap water. Chloride ion has a bad effect on the corrosion, but the amount of chloride ion in rainwater in sea area does not affect the corrosion rate. Therefore, there is no need for anti-corrosion treatment for rainwater storage tank even in a coastal area. Strong acid rain may have a strong corrosion rate, however, the storage for a certain period of time, or chemical neutralization may reduce the risk of corrosion very easily and cheaply. Rainwater harvesting system is widely spread for saving energy and sustainable development in the apartment house.

This paper presents a frequency synthesizer using low voltage active inductor VCO(Voltage Controlled Oscillator). The low voltage active inductor VCO with feedback resistor increases its equivalent inductance and the quality-factor(Q). Under certain conditions, the low voltage active inductor with feedback resistor generates a negative resistance at the input. In this paper, the conditions for negative resistance are obtained by small signal analysis. The designed low voltage active inductor VCO covers a frequency band between 1059MHz and 1223MHz. The measured phase noise at 1.178GHz is -81.8dBc/Hz at 1MHz offset.

This paper presents a large signal analysis of ring-type oscillators with feed forward and negative skewed delay scheme. The analysis yields the frequency increase factor due to two schemes. The large signal analysis is needed, because small signal model is limited to the initial stage of oscillation[1]. For verification of the frequency increase factor, simulation were done under the same conditions for the two different types of ring oscillators, i.e., with and without feed forward and negative skewed delay scheme. Simulation results are in good agreement with predictions based on analysis.
