Compositional dependence of the magnetic properties such as the saturation magnetization and the magnetic anisotropy energy were analysed using the three magnetic subnetwork mean field model and these results were compared to the radial distribution functions obtained from X-ray diffraction spectra and the hyperfine field distribution from Mossbauer spectroscopies. The ratio of the ferromagnetic Fe-subnetwork to the antiferromagnetic Fe-subnetwork and the spin value of Fe varied with the composition and all of Fe-subnetworks are coupled antiparallel to the Tb-subnetwork. Also, it was found that the hyperfine field at Fe nuclear is affected significantly by the conduction electron polarization due to the magnetic mean field near the center Fe atom as well as by the core electron polarization.

A transient hydraulic flow rate computation scheme is described here so that the transient hydraulic flow rate can be determined using the dynamic pressure measurements at the ends of a straight flow line with a dynamic model of the hydraulic line. This method can be applied to determine the orifice ares of high response valve. Simulation results indicate that the method is relatively robust to realistic levels of uncertainties in the fluid properties.

As control of swine consumptive disease is the key of success in pig farming business, the effect of Oldenlandidae Herba on prevention of swine diseases as an alternative medicine was investigated in-vivo. As it contains substances such as β-sitisterol, ursolic acid and 3-O-β-D-giucoside, it is effective on suppression of colonic tumor in rats and also, is widely used as an preventative medicine of cancer and inflammation in Chinese medicine. In this experiment, sows and piglets on two different farms were treated with Oldenlandidae Herba, and they recoded weaning rate greater than 80%, which were higher than national average 70% (PSY 68%). Meanwhile, neither organ accumulation nor toxicity has been detected on the basis of hematology and serum chemistry. In conclusion, the extracts of Oldenlandidae Herba is expected to be an good alternative medicines for swine productivity.

Hydraulic torque load simulator is essential to test and qualify the performance of various angle control systems. Typically a flapper-type second stage servovalve is applied to the load simulator, but here the direct drive servovalve, which is a kind of one-stage valve and affected by the large flow force, is applied . Since the torque load is applied not to the stationary shaft but to the rotating shaft of the angle control system, the controlled torque of load simulator is not accurate due to the rotating speed of the angle control system. A feedforward compensator is designed and applied to minimize the disturbance-like effect. A mathematical model is derived and linearized to analyze the stability, accuracy and responsiveness of the torque load simulator. The parameter effects of a controller, servovalve, hydraulic motor, rotating spring shaft are analyzed and summarized. The goodness of the linear analysis is verified by the digital computer simulations using both the linear and nonlinear mathematical models.

The motion of single-rod cylinder is typically controlled by the directional control valve. In some case, the hydraulic system should be energized by the man power and at the same time the motion of a cylinder is controlled manually. It may be confusing for a man to do two things at the same time. The solution is to make up the closed hydraulic circuit with the bi-directional pump and single-rod cylinder without using a directional control valve. In the case of single-rod cylinder, the flows at the rod side and head side are so different that several valves should be installed to make the motion of single-rod cylinder possible. The hydraulic system is composed of a bi-directional pump, a single-rod cylinder, pilot operated check valves, a check valve and a counter balance valve for the purpose of actuating the lifter. The characteristics of a suggested system are analysized mathematically and numerically.
