        분당서울대학교병원 병리과는 2003년 개원 이후 병리검사 분야의 많은 수작업과 비효율적인 업무들을 개선하고자, 지난 10년간 병리검사 전산화에 힘써왔습니다. 전산을 통해서 업무를 개선하고자 했던 노력들이 하나하나씩 발전해 나아가면서, 병리업무의 전반적인 전산시스템 구축을 목표로 가지게 되었습니다. 이러한 목표는 분당서울대학교병원의 병원정보시스템(HIS) 개발을 통한 세계의료 IT 발전을 선도하겠다는 의지와 발 맞추어, 2013년 4월에 오픈한 차세대 병원정보시스템(HIS) 프로젝트에서 전반적인 병리검사 전산화라는 소기의 목적을 달성하였습니다. 검체의 발생부터 병리과에 검체가 도착되어 최종결과가 report 되어지고, 이후에 실시하는 정도관리까지가 병리과에서 이루어지는 전반적인 병리검사 흐름입니다. 이러한 병리검사 과정 중에 수작업으로 하는 장부들은 데이터를 이용한 전산장부로 대체 될 수 있었고, 검사장비에 병리전산 정보를 연동하여 불필요하게 반복되는 일들을 줄일 수 있었습니다. 그리고 면역, 분자, 특수염색 등의 추가로 병리검사가 행하여지면서 발생할 수 있는 수작업들과 수가관련 타부서와 연계된 업무 등을 전산화로 해결해 나아감으로써 업무의 효율성을 높일 수 있었습니다. 또, 병리검사 단계마다 축적되는 정보를 이용하여, 병리검사 정도관리에 필요한 자료를 쉽고 빠르게 조회 할 수가 있습니다. 그래서 병리검사 과정에 나타나는 문제점을 정확하게 파악하여 개선시킴으로써 병리검사의 질을 유지하거나 향상 시킬 수 있었습니다. 병리검사의 전반적인 전산화 구축을 통하여, 병리검사는 진료지원부서로써의 신속, 정확성과 신뢰성을 한 층 더 높일 수 있었으며, 증가되는 업무에 비해 적은 인원으로도 운용되어지는 효율성도 갖추게 되었습니다. 하지만, 구현되어 있는 전산기능들을 더욱 세밀하게 발전시키고, 병리검사 업무의 효율성을 더욱더 증가 시킬 수 있는 부분을 찾아서 개선한다면, 병리검사는 사람에 의한 기술과 전산시스템의 보완으로 고도의 전문화된 진료지원부서로 변모 될 것입니다. 감사합니다.

        경량전철사업의 RAMS 활동을 지원하기 위한 SE전산도구 적용에 관한 연구

        There have been growing demand of Light Rail Transit(LRT) which have a lot of advantages such as construction costs lower than the recent subway, reduction of operational costs, availability of line planning, operation of railway non-beneficiary region, flexible operations of trains, unmanned operation and also have eco-friendly advantages, it is now becoming urban railway systems when environmental issues have been highlighted all over the world. Therefore, RAMS(Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety) Process and activities for effective implementation of light rail transit projects have become a very important element, and also the utilization of computerized tools to perform these more systematically and productively is sought after these days. In this paper, we have presented a plan that can support the RAMS activities by utilizing the function of the computerized SE(Systems Engineering) tool(CORE$^{(R)}$). Through support of the computerized SE tool, it would be possible more clear and efficient railway project execution.

        Fiber optic gyroscopes must be a promising technology that can replace conventional mechanical ones based on the principle of inertia of spinning masses. The advantages of fiber optic gyroscopes over mechanical ones include low cost, light weight, compact size and fast turn-on time. We will apply them to fiber optic gyrocompass for ships. Fiber optic gyrocompass for ships requires the north-seeking accuracy of $15^{\circ}$/hr, earth rotation rate, or better. This article introduces the fiber optic gyroscope as rotation sensor in the fiber optic gyrocompass system for ships that is planed to develop in our laboratory.

        Objectives: To investigate the clinical features and associated factors of hospitalization for respiratory events in patients with thoracic kyphosis. Methods: Following a retrospective review of clinical data and radiologic findings from 2002 to 2011, 52 patients with kyphosis were enrolled in this study. Kyphosis angle of thoracic spine in all patients were measured. Results: Median age of 52 patients was 61 years, and female accounted for 63.5%. Twenty eight of 52 patients performed PFT and 30 performed chest CT. 11.5% (n=6) of patients showed obstructive pattern and 41.4% (n=21) showed restrictive pattern. Bronchiectasis and emphysema accounted for 17.31% (n=9) and 3.85% (n=2) respectively. The median ratio of measured kyphosis angle to normal kyphosis angle according to age and gender was 2.43 (IQR 1.74-2.90). The ratio correlated with FVC (γ=-0.609, p=0.001) and FEV1 (γ=-0.536, p=0.003) respectively. Nineteen patients (36.54%) had been hospitalized due to respiratory events at least once (range 1-10) during follow-up, with a median duration of 44 months (range, 0-130). Of total 39 hospitalized events, and exacerbation episode of chronic airway disorder was most common cause of admission (51.28%) followed by pneumonia (20.8%). The patients admitted for respiratory events were older than (54 vs 69 year, p=0.018) than those without hospitalization due to respiratory events. Conclusions: An exacerbation episode of chronic airway disorder was most common cause of hospitalization in patients with kyphosis. In addition, hospitalization was more common in elderly patients.
