An industry segment is a combination of product variety and a group of consumers who purchase it. Industry segmentation is the division of an industry into submits for purpose of developing competitive strategy. The purpose of this study was to apply industry segmentation theory to the sport industry and to develop a sport industry segment model. Pitts et. al(1990) suggested sport industry segment model applied Porter's(1985) theory of industry segmentation. Traditional and contemporary definitions of sport and sport industry as well as lists and descriptions of sport products were used. Pitts model produced three sport industry segments: sport performance, sport production, and sport promotion. In addition, product variety categories and buyer types were identified in each segment.

The purpose of this research is to minimize the conflicts in the course of negotiating the annual salary between a professional basketball team and a player and to furnish basic data as intermediate variables to offer fans amusement, players qualitative plays, and teams the creation of images. The objects of this research are professional basketball players participating in the 2001-2002 season and 93 players who settle their annual salaries of the 2002-2003 season. I investigate the data using SPSS 11.0, a software for statistics. The results of this research are as follows: 1) As a result of investigating basic data, by using 6 variables(TFS, ID, CARE, P2, TUOV, WOFT), I can account for 85 percent of all the annual salaries, but can't explain the basic assumption of the recurrence analysis. 2) In order to settle problems, I perform the log transformation of the subordinate variables, and assume a model to explain about 85 percent with 4 variables(TUOV, CARE, TFS, G) satisfying all the basic assumptions.

This study is executed to examine closely the effect that bodybuilder's taking protein supplement affects muscular strength and blood constituent after weight training of eight weeks. They are randomly assigned with two groups that experimental group of 10 ones who execute weight training with taking pretein supplement and control group of 10 ones who just do weight training and weight, fat rating of body(%), muscular part. 1-RM and the change of blood constituent are analyzed according to programs of eight weeks. The results are as following: 1. Weight significantly increased before and after training in experimental group but there is no statistic significance though control group did a little bit before and after training. In the rating of body fat(%), both groups didn't show significant difference. 2. Experimental group and control one didn't show significant increase of upper arm's muschlar(left and right) and thigh muschlar part(left and right) but it's increasing rate was a little high in chest part in the change of muscular part 3. The cases of bench press, squat, dead-lift, shoulder press and barbell curl showed significant increase before and after training in both experimental and control group in the change of 1-RM. And experimental group increased a little bit more about 1RM than control group. 4. The cases of total-protein, creatine, Uric acid, and total-cholesterol significantly decreased before and after training in both groups in the change of blood constituent. BUN and CPK didn't show signifiant decrease or increase in experimental group and control group before and after training. Seeing above mentioned results, experimental group with protein supplement was efficient as compared with control group in weight. But the rating of body fat, muscular part, muscular strength and blood didn't have significant difference. Through these results it is considered that taking the protein supplement can't affect measurement variables in training of eight weeks, somewhat much protein injection and long period and intensified weight training than short one is necessary under the condition which there is a skill of experimental group and control group to examine the improvement of muscular fleshiness and the change of blood constituent.

The purpose of this study was to closely analyse the current status of professional sport welfare policy in Korea and to propose the progressive views of it. The objects of this research are limited to the baseball players of four middle schools in Seoul, and thus it isn't proper to apply the results to the players of other areas. In addition, because I successively measured the players by region and by school. And because the physical factors are limited to some items such as muscular endurance, power, agility, flexibility, and grasping power, there is some limit in the concept of physical strength. The subjects were 30 players; 15 players in the higher batting order and 15 players in the lower batting order. I measured the average and variance of physical measurement materials of players using Windows SPSS/PS 10.0 program, examined the significance through t-test, and set the significant level as p<05.In order to accomplish the objective of this research, I measured the physical level of five physical areas(standing broad jump, return-race, body-rising, back-bending, grasping power) of players in the higher and lower batting order, investigate the average and variance, and examine the results through t-test. 1. The area of the standing broad jump(power) was significant statistically. In this area, the physical strength of players in the higher order appeared high. That's because players' batting average requires quickness. 2. The area of the return-race(agility) was significant statistically, too. In this area the physical strength of players in the higher order appeared higher than that of players in the lower order. That's because the batting requires quickness. 3. The area of body-rising(muscular endurance) had no significance statistically. There is no significant difference between the players in the batting order. It Is thought that that's because players undergo whole training in the course of concentrated training. 4. The area of back-bending(flexibility) was not significant statistically. There is no significant difference among players in the batting order. It is thought that that's because players undergo whole training in the course of concentrated training. 5. The area of the grasping power of players was significant statistically. The grasping power of players in the higher batting order appeared higher, and that's because it is important in batting. This research is to investigate the physical strength of the middle school baseball players in the higher and lower batting order. Through this research, the purpose is to make clear the characteristic of each player in the higher and lower batting order, and to provide basic materials helping the coaches select the right batting power of players.
