        온열요법과 기치유요법이 어깨근통증 압통역치에 미치는 영향

        In this study, we wanted to understand the influence of thermotherapy, Qi-therapy, and their combination therapy on the oppressive muscular pains in shoulders. For the clinical study, 102 subjects were divided into 3 groups of thermotherapy, Qi-therapy, and the combination therapy to see the differences in the therapeutic effects. The treatments were taken 5 times for 2 weeks in 3-day intervals and pre- and post-treatment assessments were undertaken for the visual pain assessment (VAS, visual analogue scale) and experimental pressure threshold in 8 points in the relevant muscles (PPT). VAS score was decreased by 39% after thermotherapy, 66.5% after Qi-therapy, and 72.3% after combination therapy, all with significance (p<.05). The experimental pressure thresholds of shoulder muscles, the upper trapezius muscles, the lower trapezius muscles, the anterior trapezius muscles. the supraspinous muscles, the greater pectoral muscles, and the sternocleidomastoid muscles were increased by 4.3~11.3% after thermotherapy, 5.9~19.9% after Qi-therapy, and 9.3~25.4% after combination therapy. The experimental pressure thresholds in the 8 points in the relevant muscles did not show a significant difference between the Qi-therapy and combination therapy in the upper and lower trapezius muscles, however, did show a significant difference to the thermotherapy. In the shoulder muscles, anterior and posterior trapezius muscles, supraspinous muscles, supraspinous muscles, greater pectoral muscles, and sternocleidomastoid muscles, there were significant superiorities in Qi-therapy over thermo therapy, and in the combination therapy over Qi-therapy. In conclusion, it could be understood that both thermotherapy and Qi-therapy have been effective in the improvement of pains, and especially combination therapy showed better effectiveness. It is expected to apply these natural therapies to the pain treatment of human body to contribute to the improvement of health and welfare.

        견관절 근육가동범위 이상 환자의 기(氣)치유과정의 효율성

        This study has the purpose to check the efficiency of Qi-therapy on the shoulder joint for 21 patients with defective rotation of shoulder joint. The Sanggi energy was injected 5 times to 21 subjects. As a result, the mobility of shoulder joint in external angle was improved by 83~98%, 93% in average. The effect was highly elevated since 4th visit for treatment. The external rotation mobility of shoulder joint was improved by 82~97%, 92% in average. The symptom was almost removed since 4th visit for treatment. The internal rotation mobility of shoulder joint was improved by 79~96%, 90.7% in average. In the pressure pain threshold of muscles, the deltoid of 21 patients showed the improvement by 2.0 kg/㎠~3.6 kg/㎠, 2.83 kg/㎠ in average; the pectoralis major muscle was improved by 2.1 kg/㎠~3.3 kg/㎠, 2.46 kg/㎠ in average. The pain relieving and healing efficiency was 80~100%, and the average efficiency of Qi-therapy was 93.8%. In conclusion, the Sanggi energy therapy turned out to be effective in pain treatment of shoulder joint muscles.

        온열요법과 기치유요법이 경추관절의 ROM에 미치는 영향

        This study was conducted on 102 patients suffering with shoulder pain to investigate the effects of thermotherapy, qi-therapy (sanggido therapy) and combined treatment of thermotherapy and qi-therapy on their limited CROM (Cervical range of motion). In this clinical study, the patients were divided into 3 groups: thermotherapy, qi-therapy, and combined treatment with thermotherapy and qi-therapy. The healing effects were compared and analyzed before and after the treatment. Cervical flexion angle has increased by 2.7%, 5.2% and 11.4% with the treatment of thermotherapy, qi-therapy and combined treatment with thermotherapy and qi-therapy, respectively, which is considered statistically significant (p<.05). The average of cervical extension angle has increased by 4.1% 5.6% and 8.5% with the treatment of thermotherapy and qi-therapy, respectively. Particularly, the extension angle was improved by 8.5% to 66.34o with a combined treatment with thermotherapy and qi-therapy; the results in 3 different groups are considered statistically significant. Right cervical flexion angle has increased by 3.5%, 7.5% and 10.2% with the treatment of thermotherapy, qitherapy and combined treatment with thermotherapy and healing tough, respectively, which is considered statistically significant (p<.05). Left cervical flexion angle has increased by 7.6%, 11.7% and 9.8% with the treatment of thermotherapy, qi-therapy and combined treatment with thermotherapy and qi-therapy, respectively, which is considered statistically significant (p<.05). Cervical right rotation angle has increased by 1.5%, 4.8% and 7.9% with the treatment of thermotherapy, qi-therapy and combined treatment with thermotherapy and qi-therapy, respectively, which is considered statistically significant. Left cervical rotation angle has increased by 3.4%, 6.9% and 9.3% with the treatment of thermotherapy, qi-therapy and its combined treatment with thermotherapy and qi-therapy, respectively, which is considered statistically significant (p<.05). A significant increase was found in all groups being treated with 3 different therapies. A significant increase was found in both left and right cervical flexionand rotation angles in patients presenting with shoulder pain and abnormal range of motion, which is considered statistically significant. However, thecombined therapy has been shown to bemore effective. In conclusion, both thermotherapy and qi-therapy proven to improve the pains, especially its combined treatment was shown to be more effective natural healing therapy.
