        Studying the physical characteristics of flow on the various tidal conditions around the Kangjin Bay, harmonic analysis and tidal currents observations were carried out. Tidal currents observations were carried out around Kangjin Bay, southern coast of Korea in July. 25-26. 2000 during neap tide and July. 31-August. 1.2000 during spring tide. The maximum tide difference is 440㎝ during spring tide at Kangjin Bay and 195㎝ during neap tide. The averaged current speed rang was from 49.54㎝/s to 23.25㎝/s at ST.C1. and from 40.49㎝ to 16.01㎝ at ST.C2 during spring tide and when the neap tide. from 49.54㎝/s to 23.25㎝/s at ST.C1. and from 40.49㎝ to 16.01㎝ at ST.C2. Therefore the direction of residual current is northward inner bay of Kangjin Bay and southward residual current is excellent in Kangjin Bay. Tracks of drogues show that drogues are moved from Station A to the northward thorough the right side of Birae-Do in flood flow and from Station C to the southward in ebb tide. These phenomenon were due to results of the characteristic of tidal flow and coastal topography.

      • 방파제 축조에 따른 조류변화 해석

        When we construct some marine structures such as breakwater. we must investigate the influence on water quality environment due to the structure. This paper describes the investigation of tidal current variations in Wando Harbour before and after breakwater construction. For the investigation, A two dimensional hydrodynamical numerical model is presented. An explicit finite difference scheme is used to solve the control equation of the model representing the tidal dynamics of the region. From the results of physical and numerical experiment, Tidal elevation for the four major tidal constituents M_(2), S_(2), K_(1) and O_(1) are reproduced by the model. Tidal currents are promoted far from breakwater and in front of breakwater, but are decreased around the structure.

        In order to find the runoff appearance of basin. This study applied the storage function method to young San river basin. The results are as allow ; 1. Runoff analysis resulted from the storage function method was shown nearly satisfactory comparing with the existing discharge in this basin. 2. The storage function formular for Young San river basin belong to the general class: S=67.2????? 3. Primary runoff ratio, saturated rainfall and lag time were estimated at f₁=0.62, ???=24.6mm, Tι=4hrs. 4. If the storage parameter of this basin is determinded by applying the storage function method to varied floods, Time method is usable to rumoff analysis of this basin more effectively.

        To investigate variation of tidal currents and tide levels in the Mokpo c얘stal waters due to littoral reclamation, πle numerical model is constructed twc? dimensional simple layer model, and They are analysed by the implicit finite difference method. aJso, The paper investigates the reproducibility and convergence of solution in application of the method to Mokpo coastal waters and, at six station, analyed variation of tidal currents and tidal level due to littora1 reclamation.       • 소만의 해안선변형에 의한 유동모델링

        A two-dimensional numerical analysis is performed for flow modeling of shoreline transformation in Hadong tidal basin. The shallow water equations are selected as a mathematical model and the Leendertse's ADI scheme is used as the corresponding numerical model. In numerical model results, the ebb flow is more prominent than the flood flow. Therefore the direction of residual current is southward in the hadong Bay. These phenomena reflect well the characteristics of tidal flow in situation. Tracks of drogues released in some fixed points of Hadong bay at the flood tides show that they drift eastward with velocities of 45 ㎝/sec on average and ebb tides show westward. Their results are in line with the tidal residual currents confirmed by the tide harmonic analysis. In result, a variation of tidal currents is very small due to shoreline transformation in Hadong tidal basin.

        This study shows the comparison between the observations and the AR model on the flood runoff the the Young San River basin. On the ascending curve in hydrograph, AR model hae the same tendency as the observation. However the peak part and the descending curve demonstrate a rather difference. As the results of comparsion correlogram with statistical characteristic of observation, AR model is judged suitable model in prediction by on-line method.

        The objective of this study, is interpretation of current flow pattern and pollutant dispersion by the breakwater incision in a harbor. The reliability of predictions from a pollutant dispersion model depend on how well the model approximates the field situation, the numerical model used here is a two-dimensional simple layer model(ADI). It is investigate the reproduction of phenomena for flow patterns and pollutant dispersion was confined through the comparison between the observed data at Wando Harbor. When the breakwater was cut by 100m at center part, current velocity was larger by max. 0.12mfsec and computation of COD was lower by 0.1 m따 t -0.9m따 t than before breakwater incision. Resultly, we can expected water quality improvement approximate 33% because it is incised.
