        보건계열 학생들의 성취동기 및 정체감이 학업성취도에 미치는 영향

        A survey was conducted on 214 college students in the city of Jinju, South Gyeongsang Province, from September 1, 2008, to April 30, 2009. The collected data were analyzed by a statistical package SPSS WIN 19.0. Statistical data on frequency and percentage were obtained, and t-test and one-way ANOVA were utilized to find out their learning confidence, learning enthusiasm, learning expectation, satisfaction with the courses, achievement motivation and personal identity. They got a mean of 3.73 out of five in satisfaction with the courses, 3.27 in learning confidence, 3.31 in enthusiasm and 3.50 in expectation. As for achievement motivation, they got 4.13 in work, 2.95 in mastery and 3.37 in competition. They got 3.43 in the level of achievement motivation and 3.35 in identity. The students whose academic achievement was higher were ahead of the students whose academic achievement was lower in terms of learning confidence (p<.001), enthusiasm (p<.001), expectation (p<.001), work-related achievement motivation (p<.05), mastery (p<.01) and overall achievement motivation (p<.05).

        대학생의 인구사회학적 요인과 우울과의 관계

        The purpose of this study was to examine the level of self-rated depression of health-related majors in an effort to determine influential factors for their school adjustment. The subjects in this study were 205 students who were in the departments of dental hygiene and clinical pathology in a college of health. The mental health of the students was evaluated by Zung s Self-Rating Depression scale of 20 items from September 1, 2013, to March 30, 2014. The general characteristics had an approximately 8.0%(R2=.080) explainability of depression. Depression was under the statistically significant negative influence of academic year(p<.05), and the form of drinking(p<.05) had a statistically significant positive impact on that. It showed that the students whose academic year was higher and who drank less suffered from less depression. Conclusion: To promote the mental health of college students, the development of educational programs that aim at teaching them to control their own stress in consideration of their sociodemographic characteristics and academic achievement is required.

      • 일 대학생들의 학습전략 인식과 자기주도학습 능력에 대한 관계연구

        The purpose of this study was to examine different variables related to the self-directed learning capabilities of college students in an effort to lay the foundation for the development of educational programs geared toward enhancing the academic achievement of college students. After a survey was conducted, the answer sheets from 837 respondents were analyzed except for the data from 34 students that were incomplete or included unfaithful answers. The female students got a mean of 27.23 in learning strategy awareness, and the male students got a mean of 26.52. The female students scored higher than the male students, and the difference was statistically significant (t=-4.676, p<.01). Learning strategy awareness had a positive correlation with learning motivation (r=.354, p<.01), learning process management (r=.345, p<.01) and the use and management of learning resources (r=.329, p<.01). As a result of analyzing what impact learning strategies had on self-directed learning capabilities, the regression model turned out significant (F=25.875, P<.001), and the adjusted coefficient of determination (Adj R2) of it that indicated explainability was 17 percent. The factor that exercised the largest influence on the learning strategy awareness of the college students was learning motivation (.197), followed by learning process management (.164) and the use and management of learning resources (.139). The above-mentioned findings suggest that in order to boost self-directed learning capabilities, it s required to develop the kind of educational programs that aim at raising awareness of learning outcome evaluation and learning activity sustain ability, which respectively belong to the cognitive domain and the behavioral domain.

      • 청소년의 구강위생용품 사용과 구강질환증상에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study was to examine the use of oral hygiene supplies and oral disease symptoms among adolescents in an effort to provide some information on the selection of what to teach in youth oral health education. As for analysis methods, SPSS 18.0 was employed. Frequency analysis and cross tabs were carried out. Regarding the use of oral hygiene supplies by gender, the rate of use of mouth rinse was 4.2% lower in the boys(20.9%) than in the girls(25.1%), and the difference was statistically significant(x2=9.95, p<0.05). Regarding the use of oral hygiene supplies by grade, the middle school students made more use of dental floss(x2=44.81, p<0.001), interdental brushes(x2=17.85, p<0.01) and mouth rinse(x2=39.45, p<0.001) and electronic tooth-brushes(x2=23.91, p<0.001), and these were statistically significant differences. In regard to the ex-perience of oral disease symptoms by grade, the high school students had more toothache when eating food(x2=11.41, p<0.05), experienced a more throbbing toothache(x2=30.13, p<0.001) and had sore or bleeding gums(x2=9.75, p<0.05). These were statistically significant differences. As to the ex-perience of oral disease symptoms by gender, there were statistically significant differences in tooth-ache experience while eating(x2=28.96, p<0.001), in throbbing toothache experience (x2=65.19, p<0.001), in the experience of having sore or bleeding gums(x2=19.38, p<0.001) and in the experi-ence of having a throbbing pain on the tongue or inside the cheek(x2=10.29, p<0.001). The above-mentioned findings of the study seem to suggest that it is necessary to strengthen oral health education geared toward school girls and high school students.

        일부 치위생과 학생들의 학업적 자기효능감, 대인관계, 성격 변인 간의 관계 연구

        The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships among the academic self-efficacy, interpersonal relationship and personality variables of dental hygiene students. The subjects in this study were 130 selected dental hygiene students in an urban community, on whom survey was conducted from March 10 to December 10, 2014. The collected data were analyzed by a statistical package SPSS WIN 19.0, and t-test was carried out to look for any possible significant differences according to academic achievement. As for differences in academic self-efficacy, interpersonal relationship and personality according to academic achievement, the students whose academic achievement was higher (M=3.49) had a better self-regulatory efficacy than the students whose academic achievement was lower (M=3.01), and the differences were statistically significant (t=-5.65, p<.001). The former (M=3.24) was ahead of the latter (M=3.06) in terms of integrity, and the differences were statistically significant as well (t=-2.64, p<.01). Among the subfactors of personality, integrity (β=.35, p<.05) exercised a positive influence on academic self-efficacy, and likability (β=.234, p<.05) affected interpersonal relationship. Therefore an educational program should be developed as part of non-regular education curriculum to improve the integrity and likability of dental hygiene students in consideration of their academic self-efficacy and interpersonal relationship.

        일부대학생들의 자기효능감과 조직이해능력에 대한 관계 연구

        The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of self-efficacy on organizational understanding. The completed questionnaires from 278 college students who were surveyed were analyzed. As for the general characteristics of the 278 respondents, the men accounted for 14.4 percent, and the women accounted for 85.6 percent. Concerning academic year, the largest group was the freshmen(44.2%), followed by the juniors(43.5%) and the seniors(12.2%). Among the subfactors of self-efficacy, the male students got a mean of 2.97 in general self-efficacy, and the female students got a mean of 2.95. In social self-efficacy, the former and the latter got a mean of 3.02 and 2.91 respectively. The former scored a little higher, but the differences between them were not statistically significant. In terms of organizational understanding, the male students got a mean of 3.05 in general organizational understanding, and the female students got a mean of 2.86. The difference was not statistically significant. In managerial understanding, the former and the latter respectively got a mean of 2.99 and 2.72, and the difference was statistically significant(t=2.622, p<.01). The male and female students respectively got a mean of 3.07 and 2.85 in cosmopolitan outlook, and the difference was statistically significant(t=2.041, p<.05). As a result of analyzing how the self-efficacy of the college students affected their organizational understanding, self-efficacy exerted a positive understanding of approximately .272 on organizational understanding(F=22.11, p<.001).

      • 구강건강인식과 증진행위에 따른 스트레스 수준

        The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships of oral health care, oral health awareness, and self-rated stress based on the data of the 2017 community health survey for South Gyeongsang Province, in an effort to provide some information on the development of programs geared toward promoting the oral health of local residents and relieving their stress. The questionnaire used in this study consisted of six items on general characteristics, five on oral health promotion behaviors, three on self-rated oral health, and one on self-rated stress. Crosstabs, t-test, ANOVA and correlation analysis were carried out. As for stress by general characteristics, stress levels were higher among respondents who were female, who were younger, who were unmarried, who were better educated, whose household income was larger, and who engaged in economic activity. Regarding oral health awareness by general characteristics, the levels of self-rated oral health in all three items were lower among the respondents who were older, who had been married yet didn t have spouses, who earned a lower level of income, who were less educated, and who engaged in economic activity. As to oral health promotion behaviors by general characteristics, the experience rates of dental checkups, scaling, dental floss and interdental brush were higher among the respondents who were female, who were in their 30s and 40s, who had been married and had spouses, who were better educated, whose income levels were higher and who engaged in economic activity. Unmet dental needs were higher among the respondents who were female, who were in their 30s, who had been married yet didn t have spouses, who were less educated, whose income levels were lower and who didn t engage in economic activity. In regard to stress levels according to oral health promotion behaviors, stress levels were higher among the respondents who received dental checkups, who had unmet dental needs, and who made use of dental floss and interdental brushes. Stress levels were lower among the respondents who had no unmet dental needs, and who used dental floss and interdental brushes. Self-rated stress was lower when self-rated health status was better, when chewing discomfort was less, and when the perceived gingival health state was better. Accordingly, oral health promotion behaviors were linked to oral health awareness, and stress levels are expected to become lower when systematic educational programs are prepared to change oral health awareness.

      • 치과위생사들의 사회심리적 스트레스 수준

        The aim is to offer basic data for the improvement in dental hygienists quality of life through grasping a relationship between the individual, job characteristics and psycho-social stress in dental hygienists. A questionnaire survey was conducted from September 2011 to October 2011 targeting 520 dental hygienists working at 42 dental clinics in the Busan and Gyeongnam area. Psycho-social stress was surveyed by using the BEPSI-K(Brief Encounter Psycho-social Instrument-Korean version). Out of this, 494 copies judged to have provided a sincere response were analyzed using a chi-square test, t-test and ANOVA by using SPSS program. Findings: The psycho-social stress levels felt by the dental hygienists stood at 2.25 points on average, indicating levels of less than moderate stress. In the outcome according to individual characteristics, the age-based form came to 2.31±0.73 points in the age range 21-25, it being the highest. This lower age is linked to higher psycho-social stress. There was a significant difference(p<0.007). Psycho-social stress depending on job characteristics manifested a significant difference in average working hours(p<0.007), number of dental hygienists(p<0.045), the working strength felt by the individual hygienist(p<0.001), and with regard to break times(p<0.001). To boost the quality of life for dental hygienists, it is necessary to achieve compliance with average work hours, an increase in number of dental hygienists, the standard for rational work divisions, and an improvement in the working environment by providing break times in a secure rest area.
