1. Twenty-one cases of brain abscess treated at the Department of Neurosurgery, Seoul National University Hospital during the past 10 years from 1958 through 1967 were studied clinically. 2. Fifty-seven percents of the cases studied were under the age of 20. The ratio between male and female was 2:1. 3. The most important of the known sources of the infection was the infection of the middle ear which was responsible for 57% of total cases. Among others paranasal sinusitis, subacute bacterial endocarditis, cellulitis in face, osteomyelitis in skull, and head trauma were included. 4. Bacterial culture was performed in 12 cases. In 4 cases staphylococci were isolated; iri other 2, streptococci; and in still other 2, proteus. 5. Temporal abscess was found in 13 cases; cerebellar in 2, occipital, in. 2, parietal in 2, and frontal in 1 One case had temporal epidural abscess. 6. Headache was by far the most constant and common symptom and was found in 90%. Among .others fever, vomiting, L-A nausea were included. As sings 14 patients had stIffneek; 5, hemiparesis; 5, convul- sion; 4, hemiplegia and 2, homonymous helnianopsia. Papilledema was found in 9 cases. 7. Level of consciousness was comatous in 3, cloudy in 6, and alert in 12. 8. The mortality in this study was 28.6 % and the operative mortality 22.2 %. All comatous patients expired.
The 3 Dimensional Triangulation Scheme based on the Space Segmentation in WPAN

Most of ubiquitous computing devices such as stereo camera, ultrasonic sensor based MIT cricket system and other wireless sensor network devices are widely applied to the 2 Dimensional(2D) localization system in today. Because stereo camera cannot estimate the optimal location between moving node and beacon node in Wireless Personal Area Network(WPAN) under Non Line Of Sight(NLOS) environment, it is a great weakness point to the design of the 2D localization system in indoor environment. But the conventional 2D triangulation scheme that is adapted to the MIT cricket system cannot estimate the 3 Dimensional(3D) coordinate values for estimation of the optimal location of the moving node generally. Therefore, the 3D triangulation scheme based on the space segmentation in WPAN is suggested in this paper. The measuring data in the suggested scheme by computer simulation is compared with that of the geographic measuring data in the AutoCAD software system. The average error of coordinates values(x,y,z) of the moving node is calculated to 0.008m by the suggested scheme. From the results, it can be seen that the location correctness of the suggested scheme is very excellent for using the localization system in WPAN.
직무 및 작업조직 특성이 공식, 비공식 학습에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 다수준모델을 적용하여 작업조직 및 직무 특성과 개인의 공식, 비공식 학습의 관계를 규명하고자 하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 개인의 공식, 비공식 학습의 정도는 전반적으로 낮았다. 둘째, 작업조직의 특성 중 결과 피드백이 공식 학습의 참가 및 효과모두에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 직무 특성 변수 중에서는 구성원의 직무순환, 문제해결참가, 학습참여주도성이 공식 학습의 참가 및 효과 모두에 긍정(+)적 영향을 미치고 있었다. 한편, 비공식 학습에 대해서는 숙련수준만이 의미 있는 영향을 미쳤다. 넷째, 교차수준 상호작용효과의 경우, 공식 학습 참가 및 효과 모두에 대해 작업조직수준의 규모와 개인수준의 숙련수준이 의미 있는 것으로 나타났다. 비공식 학습의 경우에는 개인수준의 숙련수준이 작업조직수준의 복잡성 및 자율성과 긍정(+)적 측면에서 의미 있는 교차수준 상호작용효과가 있었다. This article examines the effects of work organization‘s and job’s characteristics on the formal and informal training of employees through the 2-1evel HLM(hierarchical linear mode). The results are as follows; First, both of the level of the formal and informal training of employees are low. Second, only performance feedback, as measured by the rate of performance pay against base wage, among work organization's characteristics has a effect on the formal training of employees. Third, of job‘s characteristics, Participation in job rotation, the initiative of employees in learning, and participation in problem solving have positive effects on the formal training of employees. And only the ability of employees has a positive effect on the informal training of employees. Fourth, in the case of formal learning, there is a positive cross-level interaction effect between size and the ability of employees. And also there are two positive cross-level interaction effects between autonomy and the ability of employees, and between complexity and the ability of employees.
데이타 마이닝에서 기존의 연관 규칙을 갱신하는 앨고리듬 개발

There have been many studies on efficient discovery of association rules in large databases. However, it is nontrivial to maintain such discovered rules in large databases because a database may allow frequent or occasional updates and such updates may not only invalidate some existing strong association rules but also turn some weak rules into strong ones. The major idea of updating algorithm is to resuse the information of the old large itemsets and to integrate the support information of the new large itemsets in order to substantially reduce the pool of candidate sets to be re-exmained. In this paper, an updating algorithm is proposed for efficient maintenance of discovered assocation rules when new transaction data are added to a transaction database. And superiority of the proposed updating algorithm will be shown by comparing with FUP algorithm that was already proposed.
