        이덕혜,서조영,박준봉 慶北大學校 齒科大學 1990 慶北齒大論文集 Vol.7 No.1

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of soluble extracts form four peridontal dressings, two of which were eugenol and the others were non-eugenol, upon human gingival fibroblasts in vitro. Each of mixed dressing which added to medium was incubated in the 35mm petri dish for 24hrs. After discard of the supernatant of old medium, those cells were cultured with fresh prepared medium in the 5% CO2 incubator at the state of 37℃, for 24, 48, & 72 hours. Author counted the number of cells by hemocytometer at each designed time and observed the change of morphology of cells stained with Hematoxylin-Eosin on the inverted phase contrast microscope The results were as follows. 1. In the course of time, K.P pack was the most significant decrease of cell counts in comparison to control cultures with Wondrpak, Coe-pak Cellopack following in that order at original extracts and there were somewhat decrease at 1/10 & 1/100 diluted solutions in all samples. 2. Throughout the present study, the eugenol containing periodontal dressings, K.P pack & Wondrpak, showed more cytotoxic effects on fibroblasts than non-eugenol dressings, Cellopack & Coe-pak. 3. In microscopic apearance of four dressings, the degenerative changes with pyknotic nuclei, lysis of cytoplasm and marked vacuolizaion were evident at orignal extracts. 4. At 1/10 & 1/100 diluted solutions, there was nothing remarkable morphological change in all kinds of periodontal dressings as time goes by. J. Kyungpook Univ. Sch. Dent. Vol. 7, No. 1, 9∼21, 1990

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between self concept and professional attitude of dental technician. Date were obtained from 104 dental technician who were working at dental laboratory located in Seoul Kyung-ki In-chon. The results, derived from using the spsswin, were as follows: 1. The mean score of self-concept(3.73) was generally affirmative and the score of perceptive-self(3.82) was a little higher than that of evaluation-self(3.64). 2. The mean score of professional attitude was 2.96 points, generally affirmative. 3. The relationship between general characteristics and the degree of the self-concept showed a very significant difference in regard to the job satisfaction, the plan to the working in the future. 4. The relationship between general characteristics and the degree of the professional attitude showed a very significant difference in regard to the job satisfaction, the plan to the working in the future and the motive of a selection department of dental technician. 5. The correlation between self-concept and professional attitude of subjects showed normal correlation((r=.229, p=0.01) : the higher the degree of self-concept, the higher the degree of professional attitude.

For this study, questionnaire sheets were distributed to 111 people with dental prosthesis who are participating in the programs run by the Community Health Care Center to explore and develop the way of oral health education for improvement of the lives of old people in the local community. The data were analyzed by frequency, percentage and z² -test using SPSS WIN. The results of the study are as follows : l. As for the satisfactory level of the dental prosthesis treatment, 43.2% of the respondents who began to use dental prosthesis after 61 years old. 32.4% of the respondents used partial denture. 42.3% of the respondents expected that they would be a little satisfied with the dental treatment. 36.0%of the respondents showed average satisfaction on the dental prosthesis treatment and the most unsatisfactory factor of the dental prosthesis was high cost, by 36.0% of the respondents. 2. As for chewing after wearing the dental prosthesis, 65.8% of the responses felt comfortable during chewing and 53.2% felt uncomfortable during chewing. 86.5% felt uncomfortable during swallowing. 68.5% said that they didn't bite the tongue or cheek during chewing and 64.0 said they use only one side of the prosthesis during chewing. 3. As for the pronunciation with dental prosthesis 76.69% of the respondents told that speaking became easy after wearing dental prosthesis. 76.6% said the prosthesis never slipped from the alveolar ridges during talks. 71.2% said the prosthesis never collided each other while speaking. 68.5% said there was no feeling of tongue tightness or tongue's being disturbed. 60.4% said they felt no difficulty in specific pronunciation due to the dental prosthesis. 4. As for eating after wearing the dental prostheses, 52.3% of the respondents said that eating got roughly easy. As for the kind of food mostly eaten, boiled vegetables or boiled cereals were chosen by 78.4%. As for the inconvenience during eating due to the dental prostheses, 41.4% selected average level and there was significant difference between male and female (p<.019). 42.3 % responded that the influence of the dental prostheses on eating habit was mostly existent. 5. As for the change of life after wearing the dental prostheses, 35.1% of the respondents said that the kinds and numbers of chewable food with dental prostheses decreased. 31.5% said there were few changes in esthetic side and 55.9% said there were few changes in psychological side. 47.7% responded that there were relationship between dental prostheses and the quality of life. As the average life length has increased thanks to the development of medical science, the interest in the welfare of the elderly has also increased among the government and the people. Men experience aging as they become older and also their mouths meet unfavorable condition including the loss of natural teeth. Therefore, the dental treatment, especially making of dental prostheses, needs extensive knowledge for aging, clinical knowledge and technology. For systematic oral health care for the old, medical service including oral health education and periodic oral examination should be extended with the financial support from the government to improve the life quality of the elderly.

      • 치과용 합금에 따른 도재의 화학적 결합에 관한 비교 분석

        李德惠,郭秀眞 동남보건대학 2001 論文集-東南保健大學 Vol.19 No.2

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the chemical bond strength between dental alloy and Porcelain according to various kinds of dental alloy. Successive bonding of dental alloy and Porcelain is related to 4 types of bonding mechanism Chemical bonding, Physical bonding. compressure bonding, van der Waal's force bonding. It was proved a theory by various experiments that the most important bonding strength is originated from chemical bonding mechanism. 1. Chemical bonding strength. It is basically caused by oxide layer at the interface of dental alloy and porcelain forming in heat-treatment, and The oxide element is different by various dental alloy type. 2. Precious metal alloy. A Main components of Precious metal alloy are sold, Platinum and palladium, but these components are difficult to oxide change of element. and It needs the nonprecious metal elements like Sn, In. Fe to help forming oxide layer. 3. Semi-precious alloy. Oxide product of most semi-precious metal is nearly same as Precious metal alloy, but Pd-Cu ceramic alloy is different with other thing. It is use Ga₂O₃, SnO₂. CuO and also heat-treatment should be performed in vacuum conditions for much gas inhaled in the casting. 4. Nonprecious metal alloy. A main component of nonprecious metal alloy is easy to oxide change of element. and It has a tendency forming excessive oxide product to make bonding strength week. Oxide layer element of Ni-Cr ceramic alloy being used in most local laboratories is Cr₂O₃. HiCr₂O₄, NiO. 5. Degassing. This is important course to produce oxidation forming in the heat-treatment. and It needs different methods according to precious metal alloy, semi-precious metal alloy and nonprecious metal alloy. From the result of this study it was found that we need more researchs for producing surface oxide layer and heat-treatment which may improve interfacial bonding strength between alloy and porcelain
