This study examined the relationships between career-related characteristics, including growth opportunity, expected utility of present job, and career plateauing, and career satisfaction and job satisfaction in a sample of 141 travel agent employees. The findings revealed that while growth opportunity and expected utility of present job were positively related to career satisfaction, career plateauing was not. And then, the more growth opportunity and the lower career plateauing the employees perceived in their careers, the higher job satisfaction they felt. But expected utility of present job was not related to job satisfaction. Finally, the implications and the limitations of this study were discussed and the directions of future study on career-related characteristics were suggested.

As the sizes of firms grow, the influences of firms to society and stakeholder also get to be expanded. Therefore, ethical aspects of the managers who control large companies become to be important. Yoo Il-Han has been one of the most respectful business men for long time in Korea. The purpose of this study is to analyze his leadership from ethical leadership point of view. In literature part, the definition of ethical leadership is examined and five principles of ethical leadership(respecting others, serving others, being just, being honest, building community) is given by Northouse(2007). In Yoo Il-Han analysis part, his life is explained and his leadership is analyzed.

The purpose of this study is to quantitatively analyze the policy effects in terms of macroeconomics for companies through smart factory-supporting programs of Korean government. For the analysis of economic effects, a total of two analysis methods are conducted. First, the trend, growth rate, and growth contribution were examined through the analysis of GDP contribution, and second, the production, value-added, employment inducement effects, and forward-backward linkage effects in the input-output model were examined. As a result, the average annual growth rate of companies that built smart factories was higher than GDP and manufacturing, and the contribution to economic growth was higher than that of some manufacturing industries. In forward-backward linkage effect, the influence coefficient was 1.2490 and the sensitivity coefficient was 2.2725, all higher than the average of 1. This means that companies that implement smart factories influence the domestic economy and affect other industries as core industries.
항산균 배양 및 동정방법의 변화에 따른 양성률과 보고시간 변화

Background : We evaluated the effects of changes in laboratory practices on the detection rates and turnaround time in a clinical mycobacteriology laboratory. Methods : A total of 27,339 specimens from 9,947 patients were tested during the period from September 2000 to March 2004, which could be divided into the following four periods according the culture and identification methods used: Period I, use of 2% Ogawa medium for culture and niacin for identification; period II, introduction of PCR for identification; period III, introduction of BacT/Alert system (bioMerieux, Durham, USA) for culturing sterile body fluids; period IV, use of Bact/Alert system for CSF and the second of repeated sputum specimens from the same patients. During these periods, two technicians (one for the first half and the other for the second half periods) did all mycobacterial tests except PCR. Results : Mean detection rates were 8.0% by auramine stain, 7.9% by nested PCR, and 6.6% by culture. The detection rates by culture for sputum specimens varied 11.4%, 7.7%, 8.1% and 5.9% in each of the four periods; for body fluids, the detection rate of 4.3% during the period III was the highest. The proportion of stain results reported within 24 hours and the identification of culture isolates within 21 days changed from 80.9% to 72.4% and from 2.3% to 30.8%, respectively. With an introduction of PCR for identification in the period II the time required for the identification of cultures decreased dramatically from 26.5 days to 4.8 days. The TAT of a direct detection by nested PCR changed from 7.2 days to 5.1 days. Conclusions : New tests should be introduced in the clinical mycobacteriology laboratory. But the cost and workload of the tests should be taken into consideration to make the laboratory service more efficient 배경 : 결핵검사 방법에 따라 차별화 되어있지 않은 국내 의료보험체계상 권장 결핵검사법의 도입이 어렵다. 신속동정법과 자동액체배양기의 부분적 도입에 따른 변화에 대하여 조사하였다.방법 :2000년 9월부터 2004년 3월까지 9,947명 환자로부터 결핵검사가 의뢰된 27,39검체를 대상으로, 결핵균 배양과 동정방법의 변화에 따라 4기간(1기-오가와배지와 niacin 동정, 2기-PCR동정, 3기-무균검체에 BacTAlert (bioMerieux, Durham, USA)사용, 4기-객담 일부와 CSF에 BacTAlert 사용)으로 구분하고,형광염색법과 배양법, 검체에서 직접 nested PCR법의 검출률과보고시간대의 변화를 후향적으로 조사하였다. PCR을 제외한 결핵검사는 전/후반기에 각각 다른 검사자 1인이 수행하였다. 결과 : 형광염색법의 평균 검출률은 8.0%, 객담에서는 기간에따라 10.9-7.8% 범위(평균 10.1%) 이었으며, 검체에서 직접 nest-ed PCR법의 평균 검출률은 7.9%이었고, 농 24.5%, 객담 12.6%,혈액과 체액을 포함한 기타 검체에서는 2.3-6.5% 범위이었다. 항산균배양법의 평균 검출률은 6.6%, 객담에서는 평균 8.4%, 기간별로 11.4%, 7.7%, 8.1%, 5.9%로 변화하였다. 체액에서의 평균검출률은 2.8% 이었으며, 3기에 4.3%로 가장 높았다. 24시간 이내에 보고되는 염색검사는 1기 80.9%에서 4기 72.4%로 변화하였으며, 직접 PCR 검출법은 7.2일에서 5.1일로 변화하였다. 조사기간 중 21일이내에 동정보고되는 배양수는 1기 2.3%에서 4기에는30.8%로 증가하였다. 특히, 신속동정법을 도입한 2기에는 항산균검출시간은 38.3일에서 24.4일로감소하고, 동정시간은 26.5일에서4.8일로 가장 크게 감소하였으나 4기에는10.4일로 증가하였다. 결론 : 결핵의 효율적인 치료와 전파예방을 이루기 위하여, 새로운 결핵검사방법의 부분적 도입만으로는 결핵검사의 적절한 검출률과 보고시간대를 충족하는 것이 불가능하며, 경제성과 검사방법과 인력에 대한 전면적인 변화가 따라야 할 것으로 사료되었다.
