        Nursing is human relationship between an individual who is sick, or in need of health services, and a nurse especially educated to recognize and to respond to the need for help. It is necessary that nurses have the time to explore and define the many facet of their personalities. The development of self-awareness by the nurse must be a self-initiated process. The identification of ego states(structural analysis) provides a useful tool for understanding behavior in nursing settings. The nurse uses the egogram to get a clearer picture of the various ego states in herself, her patients, other staff members and the total ward. Transactional analysis provides a conceptual framework in which to understand human behavior and human communication. In any clinical situation, the nurse can apply her understanding of ego states, TA strikes, time stucture, basic life position and scripts. This study analyzed the ego states of nurses to gain understanding of the predominant ego state of nurses. The subjects was consisting of 606 nurses, all working fulltime in an in-patient units of general hospitals in Seoul, Wulsan, Cheju and Mokpo. The instrument used for this study was egogram questionaire developed by Tokyo University, Japan. Analysis of the data was done by use of SPSS/PC^+. The results of study were as follows : 1. Nurturing Parent type was predominant ego state of nurses. 2. Critical Parent was represented significantly high the group of old age, married, the above ranked head nurses. 3. Free Child was represented significantly low the group of old age, married, the above ranked head nurses. 4. Adult ego state revealed the significant correlation with the CP, NP, FC ego state, and significantly negative correlation with the AC ego state. NP ego state revealed the significant correlation with the CP ego state. FC ego state revealed the significant correlation with the NP ego state.

      • 乾熱調理法에 의한 饌物類의 分析的 考察

        I have studied the kinds of side dishes, the changes of food, the materials of food and used times of the materials by dry cooking method of Korean side dishes according as ages which included many Korean cook books written from 1970 to 1943. The results of study and analysis are as following. 1) There were Jun, Jock, Gui, Nurmi, Bockum and Jihi cooked dy dry cooking method. 2) Forth-eight Kinds of Jun, Thirty kinds of Jock, Forty-seven kinds of Gui, Eigfteen kinds of Nurmi, Thirteen Kinds of Bockuman Two Kinds of Gihi were the continual foods. 3) Jun, Jock, Gui, Nurmi (and Bockum were the continual cooking method, but the record Nurmi) could not find in the cook books written from 1943. The record for Jihi could find tn the Umsickdimibang (Korean Cooking Method Method Book) written in 1670 and after then nobody Knows that. 4) Used materials and spices for Jun, Jock, Gui, Nurmi, Bockum and Jihi were meat and poultry, fish and shell fish, dried fish, vegetables, mushrooms, bean and bean products, seaweeds, egg, fruits wheats, flour and corn starch. Seasonings were seasame oil, cotton seeds oil, soybean sauce, salt, pepper, green onion and so on.

      • 서울여대 기독교 여성지도자 훈련 프로그램에 대한 고찰

        한국의 기독교인은 전체 인구의 약 30% 를 차지하고 있으며, 이 중 70% 이상을 여성 기독교인이 차지하고 있다. 한국의 여성 기독교인들은 교회 만에서 뿐 아니라 사회의 다방면에서 활동하고 있으며 더 나아가 사회문제의 예방과 해결에 많은 기여를 하고 있다. 서울여자대학교의 기독교 여성지도자 하계 연수회는 지역사회의 각 곳에서 여성의 활동이 주요한 자원으로 역할 할 수 있도록 여성들에게 교육과 훈련의 기회를 제공하는 프로그램이다. 이 프로그램은 1982년부터 현재까지 총 16회 개최되었는데 그 동안 사회·경제적 상황의 변화에 발맞춰 프로그램의 내용을 발전시쳐나가는 시도를 계속해 왔다. 앞으로 본 연수회 프로그램은 타 기관이나 대학의 유사한 프로그램들로부터 차별성이 주어질 수 있고 좀 더 전문적이고 심층적인 내용을 다률 수 있도록 특성화된 프로그램 개발에 주력해야 할 것이며 연수회 참여자들이 연수회를 통해 친교의 기회를 갖고 더 나아가 지도력을 향상시킬 수 있도록 프로그램 구성과 준비과정에 세심한 배려가 있어야 할 것이다.

        정신질환자 가족과의 협력을 통한 정신사회재활

        As deinstitutionalization of people with severe mental illness has proceeded, the families of these people have become the "institution of choice". Families have been forced to become caregivers and they are unprepared for this job. The purpose of this study is to identify psychosocial rehabilitation through the collaborative partnership with the families of the mentally ill by literature review. As a result of changes in social policy and treatment approaches, families are increasing their caregiving responsibilities for their mentally ill members. Family members can be a positive force in shaping the course of the illness, however, if included as members of the treatment team. The nursing discipline is an integral component of the multidisciplinary team Nurses as professionals hold a particularly advantageous position in assissting the needs of families and intervening appropriately. By embracing the principle of the family as client, intervention can take several forms: information dissemination, teaching skills, and offering emotional support to the family, particularly during times of crisis. Nurses are in an excellent position to recruit health professionals and family members into collaborative ventures such as this. Family intervention can take several forms volunteer-based organizations, family led self-help groups, and family groups led by professionals. Each of these program types have assisted families in acquiring knowledge, skills, and a sense of mastery over their personal situation. However, a review of literature regarding family education could find only limited evidence of professional/family collaboration, in which families and professionals actively work together towards a common goal of meeting the families' needs. Educational programs to provide families with the necessary information and skills have been developed collaboratively by mental health professionals and family members. This same collaborative approach can extend to the education of future psychiatric nurses who, through understanding how the family perceives and experiences caring for the ill family member, can provide more effective nursing care. Incorporation of clients and their families into the processes of curriculum planning and instruction is a powerful learning strategy in the education of undergrauate psychiatric nursing students. The partnership in education between university faculty and family members of persons with mental illness has had a major and positive influence on all components of the psychiatric nursing curriculum. In managing mental illness through collaborative partnerships, the family must be an integral part of the psychosocial rebalitation.
