Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify influence of health behavior in patients with coronary artery disease. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive design included 150 patients treated with percutaneous coronary intervention in S hospital in S city. Data were collected by using self-questionnaires July 5-August 26, 2021 and were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson’s correlation coefficients, and multiple regression with SPSS 23.0. Results: Factors significantly influencing health behavior in patients with coronary artery disease were health empowerment (β=.48, p<.001), and post-traumatic growth (β=.20, p=.013). The explanatory power of related variables was 39%. Conclusion: Based on the this study, it was found that health empowerment and post-traumatic growth had a significant effect on the health behavior of patients with coronary artery disease. Thus, it is necessary to promote the health behavior of patients with coronary artery disease through the development of intervention programs to improve health empowerment and post-traumatic growth.

The inlet water of the target final settling basin inflow into the top of sedimentation basin (0.3 m below the water surface). Therefore, strong water flow is formed on the surface of water and the Hydraulic Retention Time is short. so this causes decrease to sedimentation efficiency. In order to solve these problems, we performed to the computational fluid dynamics diagnosis. As a result of evaluating the hydraulic characteristics, it was confirmed that the lower inflow type was hydraulically advantageous than the conventional upper inflow type. So, we installed a baffle in front of the inlet to improve the lower inflow type. We compared water quality before and after the improvement, after improving two among four settling basin. In autumn(in October), the water quality improved about 60% in SS and 45% in TP compared to before the improvement. In winter(in December), it was about 18% in SS and 25% in TP compared to before the improvement.

The aim of this study was to investigate the nutrient and blue green algae removal using hybrid bead in the lake water. Hybrid bead is a composite bioadsorbent made by mixing sericite and chitosan. Therefore, hybrid bead has a variety of electric charges, so it has the advantage of removing nutrients and blue green algae that have various electric charges in the lake water. Hybrid bead removed successfully 90-96% of the nutrient and Chl-a in the lake water at the following optimal parameters: Temperature 25 °C, pH 7-8, mixing time 60 min, hybrid bead dosage 3 g/L. The relationship between TN, TP and Chl-a was highest obtained 0.999 and 0.9977, respectively. This indicates that nitrogen and phosphorus have a great influence on the eutrophication of rivers and harmful algal bloom. Hybrid bead is an eco-friendly blue green algal and nutrient remover that does not adversely affect the ecosystem. In addition, the cost is low and the efficiency is high, so it can be applied in the field.

BACKGROUND: Contamination of soils by heavy metals is the serious environmental problem. In particular, industrial processing is one of the main sources of heavy metal contamination. The objective of this study was to investigate the distribution characteristics of heavy metals in soils collected from industrial complex. METHODS AND RESULTS: In this study, the soil contamination and enrichment factor (EF) of heavy metals were investigated in three national industrial complexes such as Yeosu, Ulsan and Sihwa·Banwal industrial complexes. The target heavy metals includes Cd, Cu, As, Hg, Pb, Cr, Zn, and Ni. The results showed that the contents of Cd, Hg, Pb, Zn and Ni in Yeosu and the contents of Cu, As and Cr in Sihwa·Banwal were higher than in any other industrial complex. The results of principal component analysis(PCA) in Yeosu, Ulsan and Sihwa·Banwal complex could be explained up to approximately 81.4, 69.1 and 70.9% by two factor, respectively. Enrichment factors of Cd, Pb and Zn in all the investigated industrial complexes were above 1.0 that was the value judged to be a high contamination. And EF of Cr was above 1.0 in Sihwa·Banwal complex. EF of Zn in all sites was generally high from the other heavy metals. CONCLUSION: Therefore, soils maybe significantly affected by heavy metals (especially, Cd, Pb and Zn) present in the emissions from industrial complexes.
