Noonan syndrome is a condition involving facial, cardiovascular and skeletal abnormalities that may pose problems to anesthesiologists during surgery. Propofol, which is used as an induction agent for noncardiac surgery, produces little or no change in the heart rate. Remifentanil decreases the sympathetic and somatic responses to noxious stimuli and can be given in high doses without negative inotropic effects. We report successful management of a patient with Noonan syndrome, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and atrial fibrillation, undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy using the the total intravenous anesthesia with propofol and remifentanil.
수치해석을 통한 연약지반용 부력식 기초 방파제의 거동 분석

For conventional gravity type offshore structures constructed on the soft ground, which is located on the western and/or southern Korea, the excessive consolidation settlements are caused by the self-weight of the structures and so additional ground treatment methods are generally needed. Several types of improved foundation systems utilizing buoyancy applicable to even the soft ground were introduced for economical and efficient design of the offshore structure. In this study, a series of numerical simulations on the consolidation and lateral behaviors of breakwaters with the improved foundation systems utilizing buoyancy were carried out. From the results of numerical simulations it is found that the foundation systems utilizing buoyancy are efficient for reducing the maximum consolidation settlements without reducing lateral safety.
EPCglobal Gen-2 RFID 시스템 태그와 리더간의 무선 전송 방식 성능 분석

본 논문에서는 모의 실험을 통하여 EPCglobal Gen-2의 리더와 태그간 상 하향 링크에서의 부호화, 변조 방식, 시간 동기 및 주파수 동기, 그리고 preamble등의 규격에 대한 성능을 분석한다. 리더에서 태그로의 통신에서 사용되는 부호화 및 변조 방식에 의한 파형의 적합성을 확인하고, 태그에서 리더로의 통신에 사용되는 부호화 방식과 backscatter 변조 방식을 설명하며, backscatter 변조된 FM0 code의 BER 성능을 모의 실험을 통해 확인한다. 또한, 하향 및 상향 링크에서의 주파수, 시간 동기 및 preamble과 frame 동기의 필요성 및 역할에 대해 설명하고, 상향 링크 preamble의 정확한 검출 확률에 대한 모의 실험을 통하여 13 dB $E_b/N_0$에서 preamble의 detection 확률이 거의 1에 근접함을 확인한다. In this paper, we analyze the performance of the encoding and the modulation processes in the downlink and uplink of the EPCglobal Gen-2 system through the analysis and simulation. Furthermore, the synchronization issues on time and frequency domain and the preamble architecture are evaluated. By incorporating the encoding and the modulation technigue in the downlink and uplink, we assess the performance of the EPCglobal Gen-2 system. We also introduce the encoding and backscatter modulation process as well as the BER performance of FM0 code. In addition, the importance and the role of the frequency and time synchronization, such as the preamble and frame synchronization are explained. Through the simulation in the uplink on the detection probability through preamble, we find that the detection probability approaches 1 for 13 dB $E_b/N_0$.

Aviation industry is moving towards the third innovative era of AAM with electric power and AI after the JET-powered era following the Wright brothers’ first flights. Research on UAM, eVTOL development, certification, and operations is competitively progressing, primarily in aviation-leading countries, aiming to resolve urban traffic saturation and foster the future aviation industries. This study introduces the concept of the pilot's role transition in operational safety as AI autonomous flight advances, comparing K-UAM operational concept with research from FAA, NASA, and EASA. It is to identify and propose solutions for challenges from the pilot's perspective in developing UAM and its safe operation system. To succeed in Advanced Air Mobility National Project, we suggest the collaboration among industry, academia, and institutions, along with the cooperation between civilians, governments, military, and the need for Urban Air Mobility integrated policies.

As the domestic aviation industry grows, the aviation maintenance field is also growing rapidly. This change calls for more aircraft maintenance technicians, and interest in safety accidents is also increasing. Individual safety climate indicates the importance of safety in the organization. We expect that three individual factors (training effectiveness, procedure effectiveness, and work pressure) relate to safety behavior in the workplace via individual safety climate. The purpose of this research is investigating the relationship between individual factors and aircraft maintenance technician’s safety behavior. Previous studies related to individual factors were examined for literature review. Based on the previous studies, research model was constructed. Hypothesis was verified by effected data from 305 samples were employed for final survey. The results show that individual factors were meaningful factors to effect perceived safety behavior, and safety knowledge & safety motivation were related to safety compliance & safety participation.
