        한국 중⋅장년층 남성의 노동생애 불안정은 보편화되고 있는가? - 세대 및 학력 간 노동궤적 비교를 중심으로 -

        The issue of labor or job instability experienced in middle age has been raised continuously since the late 1990’s when the financial crisis occurred in Korea. However, it has not been explored enough whether it is an unusual phenomenon that happened at that time to a certain group of people, or as many people think, labor instability has transformed into a common danger in this modern world. Based on the ‘Risk Society’ and ‘Individualization of risk’, presented by German sociologist Ulrich Beck, this study examined whether the risk of ‘working life instability’ experienced by middle-aged men is becoming universalized in Korea. The result showed that Cohort 2 (1949∼1958) is more likely to enjoy stable working life trajectories in middle age than Cohort 1. In addition, it was found that Cohort 1 (1939∼1948) experienced destabilization earlier and at a faster rate overall. Furthermore, the influence of educational attainment on the (in)stability was also strengthened in Cohort 2, confirming that the working life instability in middle age got more stratified than universalized in Korea. These findings suggest to implement appropriate policies for low-educated groups who have had unstable working life for a long time.

        자동유방초음파: 현재와 미래

        Automated breast ultrasound (ABUS) is a novel imaging method, introduced to overcome the main limitations of traditional hand-held ultrasound, such as the lack of standardization, low reproducibility, small field of view, high operator dependency, and high commitment of physician time. ABUS is a standardized radiologic modality with many advantages in both screening and diagnostic settings. It increases the detection rate of breast cancer, improves workflow, and reduces the examination time. On the other hand, ABUS has some limitations, these include the inability to assess the axilla, vascularization, and elasticity of a lesion. With respect to the interpretation, the disadvantages of ABUS are the artifacts due to poor positioning, lack of contact, or those related to motion or some specific tumors. However, these disadvantages can be diminished by additional attention and training. ABUS can be used in clinical settings and is a promising modality in breast imaging. The purpose of this review is to present a summary of the characteristics and clinical applications of ABUS, and provide future perspectives.

        갑상선 결절의 초음파 위험도 분류 체계

        Thyroid nodules are a common medical concern with an increasing prevalence due largely to the widespread use of ultrasonography (US). US is the primary diagnostic tool for identifying thyroid nodules, determining their size and characteristics, guiding fine-needle aspiration (FNA), and diagnosing lymph node metastasis. The most consistent US features indicating a malignancy in thyroid nodules include spiculated margins, microcalcifications, a taller-than-wide shape, and pronounced hypoechogenicity. Based on these imaging findings, clinicians must determine which nodules require further evaluation and which can be monitored over time. Despite the central role of thyroid US in managing these nodules, there is no clear consensus regarding which nodules should undergo US-guided FNA, nor is there a standardized terminology for describing the US features. Consequently, medical societies recommend using US risk stratification systems to standardize reporting and simplify clinical decision-making. This review aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the various US risk stratification systems employed for thyroid nodules, allowing readers to gain a better understanding of how nodules are assessed using these different systems. Furthermore, this study examines the efficacy, weaknesses, and potential pitfalls of these US risk stratification systems and discusses future perspectives for their optimal clinical application in managing thyroid nodules.

        유방 초음파에서 인공 지능의 진단적 유용성

        Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women and its incidence and the mortality associated with it have increased over the years. Early detection of breast cancer via various imaging modalities can significantly improve the prognosis of patients. Ultrasound is a useful imaging tool for breast lesion characterization due to its acceptable diagnostic performance and non-invasive and real-time capabilities. However, one of the major drawbacks of ultrasound imaging is operator dependence. Artificial intelligence (AI), particularly deep learning, is gaining extensive attention for its excellent performance in image recognition. AI can make a quantitative assessment by recognizing imaging information, thereby improving ultrasound performance in the diagnosis of breast cancer lesions. The use of AI for breast ultrasound in clinical practice is extremely important, as it saves time, reduces radiologist fatigue, and compensates for a lack of experience and skill in some cases. This review article discusses the basic technical knowledge required, the algorithms of AI for breast ultrasound, and the application of AI in image identification, segmentation, extraction, and classification. In addition, we also discuss the future perspectives for the application of AI in breast ultrasound.

        교통류에 영향을 주는 화물차 군집주행 운영 조건 분석

        우리나라는 대부분의 화물 운송이 도로를 이용하여 이루어지기 때문에 화물차 군집주행에 관한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 화물차 군집주행은 연속된 두 대 이상의 화물차들이 하나의 군집을 구성해 주행하는 것으로 도로 용량의 증가와 연비를 개선할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 화물차 군집주행이 교통류에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해 교통 조건, 화물차 군집주행 운영 조건에 따른 시나리오를 생성하였다. 화물차 군집주행 운영 조건의 영향이 미치는 영향을 파악하고자 평균통행속도, 차로변경방해건수, 진출입구간방해건수와 상관분석을 실시하여 결과를 도출하였다. 군집 내 화물차 수, 군집 내 화물차 간격, 군집 간 간격은 평균통행속도와 차로변경방해 건수에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 군집주행 화물차 비율이 LOS와 무관하게 평균통행 속도와 차로변경방해건수에 강한 연관성을 가지는 것으로 나타났다. In Korea, interest in truck platooning is increasing because most cargo transportation is done by road. Truck platooning is the operation of two or more trucks in a row to form one platoon, which can increase road capacity and improve fuel efficiency. In this study, to analyze the effect of truck platooning on traffic flow, scenarios were created according to traffic conditions and truck platooning operating conditions. In order to understand the effect of the truck platooning operating conditions, correlation analysis was conducted with the average travel speed, the number of lane change disturbance, and the number of disturbance in the entry/exit section. As a result, the number of trucks in the platoon, the spacing of trucks in the platoon, and the spacing between platoons were found to have an effect on the average speed and the number of lane change disturbance In addition, the truck platooning ratio was found to have a strong correlation with the average travel speed and the number of lane change disturbance regardless of the LOS.

        메타분석을 이용한 자율주행자동차 혼재교통류 영향 분석에 관한 연구: 연속류 도로를 중심으로

        Recently, there has been a worldwide increase in research and development on automated vehicles for commercialization. It is expected that the use of level 3 autonomous vehicles on continuous-flow roads will be introduced and will increase. Consequently, various studies have been conducted to investigate the impact of mixed traffic flow with automated vehicles based on the market penetration rate (MPR). However, these studies have been conducted independently, and the results have shown different trends. Therefore, this study attempted a quantitative analysis of the impact of automated vehicles on mixed traffic flow on uninterrupted roads through a meta-analysis. The results showed that the effect size estimated from an MPR of 75% or higher was statistically significant.

        강화학습 기반 고속도로 갓길차로제 운영 알고리즘 개발 연구

        본 연구는 고속도로 상의 반복적인 교통 혼잡 문제를 해결하기 위한 현실적인 대안 중 하나인 고속도로 갓길차로제를 효과적으로 운영하기 위해 강화학습 기법을 적용하고자 하였다. 강화학습의 DQN을 활용한 갓길차로제 운영 알고리즘을 개발하였고 미시교통시뮬레이션 프로그램 VISSIM을 활용하여 경부선 기흥IC-수원IC 구간의 데이터를 활용하여 강화학습 에이전트를학습시켰고 그 효과를 평가하였다. 효과평가는 크게 이동성과 안전성의 두 가지 측면에서 진행하였다. 분석 결과 DQN 기반 갓길차로제 운영을 통해 시간당 최대 26km/h의 속도 개선 효과가 발생하였으며, DQN 에이전트는 기존 운영 기준인 60km/h 보다 약 10km/h 높은 속도로 갓길차로제를 운영하였다. 안전성 효과의 경우 기존 운영 방식과 DQN 기반 운영을 통해 발생되는차량 간 상충건수를 비교하였고 산출된 상충건수의 차이가 크지 않아 10km/h의 운영 기준 속도의 차이가 큰 영향을 주지 않은 것으로 판단하였다. 이러한 결과를 종합적으로 고려할 때강화학습 기반 고속도로 갓길차로제 운영은 이동성 측면에서는 분명한 효과가 존재하였고 현재 운영 기준 속도의 조정을 고려해볼 필요가 있을 것으로 판단된다.
