We developed a regenerable antifouling membrane using photo-dynamic reversible cross-linking. We modified a branched polymer with photo-responsive group, and coated it to a membrane by dip-coating method. The combined results of Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and field-emission scanning electron microscopy measurements clearly revealed that the modified polymer were successfully synthesized ,and coated to the membrane by photo-dynamic reversible cross-linking. As expected, the modified film could be detached by UV irradiation. In addition, the photo-reversible membrane surface was recovered decreased water flux by photo-induced regeneration process.

Coronal discoloration is a common sequela to traumatic injuries. In subluxation cases, although the injury is not strong enough to rupture the apical vessels, discoloration may appear by tearing thin walls or occluding small capillaries. In absence of infection pulpal regeneration can occur, and as a result discoloration may completely or partially subside. But judging pulpal status by coronal discoloration can be dangerous and it may lead to unnecessary treatment. This case presents coronal discoloration and recovery following traumatic injury of maxillary anterior teeth. In diagnosing traumatized teeth routine cold tests or electric pulp tests are known to be unreliable, but with the aid of ultrasound doppler imaging, assessing pulp vitality of traumatized teeth can be more accurate. 치관부 변색은 외상당한 치아에서 종종 관찰되는 현상이다. 아탈구에서의 치관부 변색은, 외상의 정도가 근단공을 지나는 동맥혈관을 파열시키기에 충분히 강하지 않으나 얇은 외벽을 가진 모세혈관을 절단 또는 폐쇄 시키는 경우에서 일어날 수 있다고 설명된다. 감염이 일어나지 않는다면 치수 회복의 과정이 일어날 수 있으며 그에 따라 치관부 변색은 완전하게, 또는 불완전한 상태로 회복되기도 한다. 그러나 이러한 치관부의 색 변화로 치수 괴사를 진단하기에는 불충분하며, 불필요한 치료를 야기할 우려가 있다. 이번 증례는 전치부의 외상 후, 치관부 변색의 과정과 이의 회복을, 초음파 도플러 그라피를 통하여 확인한 것을 나타낸다. 통상적인 냉검사나 전기치수검사로 치수 생활력을 판단하기 어려운 외상 치아의 진단에 있어 초음파 도플러 그라피의 사용은 보다 정확한 정보를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 평가된다.

We developed a positively charged membrane with acid resistance via the introduction of a branched-poly(ethyleneimine) (b-PEI) hydrogel layer onto the surface of a polyethersulfone (PES) membrane, which was achieved by immobilization of b-PEI at the PES membrane surface using cross-linking agent. The combined results of ATR FT-IR, XPS and FE-SEM measurements confirmed that the b-PEI hydrogel layer was successfully coated on the PES NF membrane surface. In particular, the b-PEI hydrogel coated membrane surface had positive charge at whole pH range. The positively charged surface could enhance multivalent ion rejection. As a result, the membrane effectively recovered acid substance under strong acidic condition. Moreover, the selective separation was well preserved after exposure to highly concentrated sulfuric acid solution.
가상가공기법을 이용한 볼엔드밀과 플랫엔드밀의 절삭력 해석 시스템 개발

본 연구에서는 볼엔드밀과 플랫앤드밀에 의해서 야기되는 절삭력을 가상적으로 평가할 수 있는 기반을 구축하기 위한 노력으로써 가상가공기법을 이용한 절삭력 해석 시스템을 구현하였다. 공구의 기하학적 제원과 공작기계(밀링머신, 머시닝센터)의 운전 조건에 의해서 변화되는 절삭력은 공작물과 공구의 접촉영역 내에 위치한 미소 절삭날에 적용하는 미소 절삭력들을 중첩시키는 방법을 통해서 해석하였다. 특히 구조변형을 고려한 절삭력은 절삭력과 구조변형의 평형조건을 이용해서 결정하였다. 아울러서 볼엔드밀과 플랫엔드밀의 절삭력에 대한 실험결과와 해석결과의 비교를 통해서 본 연구에서 개발한 절삭력 해석 시스템의 유용성을 입증하였다. In this study, a cutting force analysis system for ball and flat end-mills is realized based on the virtual manufacturing technologies. Cutting force which depends on the specification of cutting tool and operating conditions of machine tool(milling machine, machining center), is predicted by superposing the infinitesimal cutting forces on infinitesimal cutting edges existing in the contact area between cutting tool and workpiece. Especially, the equilibrium condition between cutting force and structural deformation of cutting mechanism is introduced to determine the cutting force considering the influence of structural deformation. And comparison between the predicted and measured cutting forces for ball and flat end-mills shows the effectiveness of the cutting force analysis system developed in this study.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to evaluate in vitro cytotoxicity of thepozzolan cement and other root-end filling materials using human periodontal ligamentcell. Materials and Methods: Endocem (Maruchi), white ProRoot MTA (Dentsply), whiteAngelus MTA (Angelus), and Super EBA (Bosworth Co.) were tested after set completelyin an incubator at 37℃ for 7 days, Endocem was tested in two ways: 1) immediatelyafter mixing (fresh specimens) and 2) after setting completely like other experimentalmaterials. The methods for assessment included light microscopic examination, cellcounting and WST-1 assay on human periodontal ligament cell. Results: In the resultsof microscopic examination and cell counting, Super EBA showed significantly lowerviable cell than any other groups (p < 0.05). As the results of WST-1 assay, comparedwith untreated control group, there was no significant cell viability of the Endocemgroup. However, the fresh mixed Endocem group had significantly less cell viability. Thecells exposed to ProRoot MTA and Angelus MTA showed the highest viability, whereasthe cells exposed to Super EBA displayed the lowest viability (p < 0.05). Conclusions:The cytotoxicity of the pozzolan cement (Endocem) was comparable with ProRootMTA and Angelus MTA. Considering the difficult manipulation and long setting time ofProRoot MTA and Angelus MTA, Endocem can be used as the alternative of retrofilling material.
