        대학생의 코로나 스트레스가 대학생활적응에 미치는 영향: 부적응적 인지적 정서조절전략과 우울의 매개효과

        본 연구는 대학생의 코로나 스트레스와 대학생활적응의 관계를 부적응적 인지적 정서조절전략과 우울이 매개하는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 확인하기 위해 2021년 8월 30일부터 10월 7일까지 전국의 대학교에 재학 중인 만 18세 이상의 대학생 386명(여학생 224명, 남학생 162명)을 대상으로 코로나 스트레스 척도, 대학생활적응 척도, 부적응적 인지적 정서조절전략 척도, 우울 척도를 사용하여 설문조사를 실시하였으며, PROCESS MACRO model 6을 이용하여 자료를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 코로나 스트레스와 대학생활적응의 관계에서 부적응적 인지적 정서조절전략은 우울을 거치지 않고 단독으로는 매개효과가 없었다. 둘째, 코로나 스트레스와 대학생활적응의 관계에서 부적응적 인지적 정서조절전략을 거치지 않은 우울은 완전매개효과를 보였다. 셋째, 대학생의 코로나 스트레스와 대학생활적응의 관계에서 부적응적 인지적 정서조절전략과 우울이 완전매개효과를 보였다. 이러한 연구결과는 대학 상담현장에서 코로나 스트레스로 인해 대학생활적응에 어려움을 겪는 대학생 내담자들을 효과적으로 돕기 위해서 부적응적 인지적 정서조절전략과 우울 증상에 대한 적절한 개입이 필요함을 시사한 점에 의의가 있다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 제한점 및 추후 연구를 위한 제언을 논의하였다.

        Early fertilization and absorbent treatments continuously enhanced windbreak tree growth and soil properties in the Hetao Plain of Inner Mongolia, China

        Intensive and continuous management has rarely been applied in forestation designed to combat desertification, except for afew instances of fertilization and irrigation in the early stage in northern China. We hypothesized that early and discontinuousfertilization and absorbent treatments would continuously increase tree growth and improve soil properties in an aridregion. In 2003 and 2004, treatments of nitrogen fertilization and absorbents were applied to Populus alba var. pyramidalistrees in an experimental windbreak site in the Hetao Plain of Inner Mongolia, China. Nevertheless, the current study resultshave demonstrated that early and discontinuous nitrogen fertilization and absorbent treatments continuously increased treegrowth (2003–2009) without any significant improvement in soil properties in 2010. The study results suggest that earlyand discontinuous fertilization and absorbent practices may be sufficiently effective in forestation aimed at combatingdesertification in arid lands where continuous maintenance cannot be expected.

        Coarse woody debris mass dynamics in temperate natural forests of Mt. Jumbong, Korea

        Coarse woody debris (CWD) mass dynamics in three temperate natural forests, dominated by Quercus mongolica, Abies holophylla, and Pinus densiflora, were studied for 5 to 8 years in a Korea National Long-Term Ecological Research (KNLTER) site located in Mt. Jumbong, Korea. CWD mass (Mg/ha), input rate of CWD mass (Mg ha^(-1) y^(-1)), and decay rate constant (1/y) were 20.6, 1.20, and 0.058 for Q. mongolica forest, 12.2, 0.44, 0.106 for A. holophylla forest, and 5.0, 0.00, and 0.086 for P. densiflora forest, respectively. CWD mass was classified into species, types (log, snag, and stump), and decay classes (I-V). The proportion of logs was higher than that of the other CWD types in Q. mongolica forest because of wind-related mortality, whereas the proportion of logs was similar to the proportion of snags in A. holophylla forest and P. densiflora forest. CWD mass, input rate, decay rate, and distribution reflected the status of forest regeneration and succession for three forests. Mass dynamics were affected interactively by a variety of factors including species, microclimate, and topography, but these effects were hardly distinguishable in this study because of the limited number of comparable sites and pieces of CWD. Thus, further studies will require data regarding long-term microclimate and CWD mass dynamics in a variety of forest types, which could represent diverse environmental factors.

        국가미래기술발전을 위한 유네스코 인류무형유산 택견의 정신철학

        Among all kinds of traditional martial arts existing in modern and historic days, Taekkyeon is the only martial arts that is recognized as UNESCO’s intangible cultural heritage of humanity. It is also selected as a 76th national intangible cultural treasure. It proves that Taekkyeon contains precious traditional values of Korean nationality in its moves and philosophy. In fact, as it is a martial arts of values and wisdom, learning or simply enjoying Teakkyeon may provide ample physical, psychological and educational benefits to the trainees. However, in the status quo, Taekkyeon was only been passed down to minority of trainees, and, thus, it is recognized as historic tradition, which is disparate from contemporary trends, for the public. Under such circumstance, this study aims to spread and vitalize Teakkyeon in contemporary society. To achieve so, this paper is establishing a definition of Teakkyeon—its characters, rules, history, origin etc. More importantly, this paper is focusing on suggesting several recommendations for Teakkyeon’s popularization and globalization by explaining core benefits in various perspectives.

        Stabilizing Morbidity and Predicting the Aesthetic Results of Radial Forearm Free Flap Donor Sites

        Background The radial forearm flap is a versatile, widely used flap. However, the possibility of donor site complications has led to concern over its use. Some surgeons prefer using other flaps whose donor sites can be closed primarily with less morbidity, including avoiding unpleasant scarring. However, in our experience, donor site stability of the radial forearm flap can be reliably achieved by using well-implemented specific procedures. Here, we present a collection of donor site cases of the radial forearm flap and investigate factors that affect the aesthetic results as the basis for a reference for selecting a radial forearm flap. Methods In this retrospective study, we reviewed 171 cases in which a radial forearm flap was used for free tissue transfer after resecting head and neck cancer. We focused on donor site morbidity rates. Each operation involved a detailed procedure designed to minimize donor site morbidity. Moreover, statistical investigations were conducted for 22 cases to determine factors affecting the scar appearance. Results Only one case developed total skin graft necrosis as a major complication. Scar-related aesthetic results were acceptable, and the body-mass index, body weight, diabetes, and cardiac problems were significant factors related to the appearance of scars. Conclusions Performing the radial forearm flap using a well-implemented detailed technique helps achieve acceptable donor site morbidity results. The aesthetic results were more promising for patients without excess body weight, diabetes, or cardiac problems. Therefore, anxiety about donor site morbidity should not be a reason to avoid selecting the radial forearm flap in suitable patients.

        Mass dynamics of coarse woody debris in an old-growth deciduous forest of Gwangneung, Korea

        We investigated the mass dynamics of coarse woody debris (CWD) in an old-growth deciduous forest dominated by Quercus serrata, Carpinus laxiflora, and C. cordata in a 1 ha permanent plot of the Gwangneung Experiment Forest, Korea, from 2002 through 2010. CWD mass varied from 16.8 to 34.2 Mg ha71, and the ratio of CWD mass to stand biomass varied from 0.06 to 0.13. The mean CWD mass input and loss rates were 4.81 Mg ha71 yr71 and 2.28 Mg ha71 yr71, respectively. A large heterogeneity of CWD mass, as represented by the spatial coefficient of variation (127.2%) and annual coefficient of variation (178.5%), might be inherent in the old-growth temperate forest, which consisted of large biomass trees. The decay rate constant, as estimated from the wood density change, was 0.049 yr71. However, the large variation of annual CWD mass input could cause the overestimation of decay rate constant (0.167 yr71) as calculated from the ratio of CWD mass input to CWD mass. According to the CWD decay class classification, class II (72.8%) comprised the majority of CWD mass. The proportion of CWD mass to total CWD mass was 57.5% for Q. serrata, 25.0% for C. laxiflora, and 10.4% for C. cordata, respectively, and corresponded to the proportion of stem biomass to total stem biomass. These data support the stability of the current status in this old-growth deciduous forest as representing the climax stage. Due to the relatively short-term measurement of CWD mass compared with the whole life span of CWD, additional long-term studies with various approaches are required to enhance the knowledge of CWD mass dynamics in this forest.

        Inhibitory Effect of Farfarae Flos Water Extract on COX-2, iNOS Expression and Nitric Oxide Production in lipopolysaccharide - activated RAW 264.7 cells

        Farfrae Flos has been clinically used for the treatment of asthma in traditional oriental medicine. There is lack of studies regarding the effects of Farfrae Flos on the immunological activities. The present study was conducted to evaluate the effect of Farfrae Flos on the regulatory mechanism of cytokines and nitric oxide (NO) for the immunological activities in Raw 264.7 cells. In Raw 264.7 cells stimulated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) to mimic inflammation, Farfrae Flos water extract inhibited nitric oxide production in a dose-dependent manner and abrogated inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and cyclooxygenase (COX-2). Farfrae Flos water extract did not affect on cell viability. To investigate the mechanism by which Farfrae Flos water extract inhibits iNOS and COX-2 gene expression, we examined the on the phospholylation of inhibitor κBα and production of TNF-α, IL-1β and IL-6. Results provided evidence that Farfrae Flos inhibited the production of interleukin-1β (IL-1β) and the activation of phospholylation of inhibitor κBα in Raw 264.7 cells activated with LPS. These findings suggest that Farfrae Flos can produce anti-inflammatory effect, which may play a role in adjunctive therapy in Gram-negative bacterial infections.
