The process data are integrated and utilized for the production management, with the rapid development of analog measurement technology and with the wide spread of computer users. This trend draws more attention to the process data integration system which makes it possible to improve the quality of products, to classify and count the products automatically and to provide the basis for the production plan through the analysis and modification of process factors based upon the integrated process data. The system may be classified (either analog data of digital data) and the operating methodology of the system. Generally for the process control, it is necessary to set and monitor the reference and tolerance values of control-related process data, for example, temperature, rpm and pressure. In using the conventional analog controllers, it is not feasible to get the process data required for the quality control. Recently the digital controllers are developed. which have more accurate control capability and feasivility in getting the process data then the old controllers; the old are going to be replaced by the new. By utilizing the process data integration system, the analog controllers still can be used for the process control with the continuous quality improvement.

In patients with end-stage renal disease, depressed taste acuity may often affect their food intake and causes malnutrition. We measured mean recognition thresholds for the four primary tastes before and after hemodialysis to evaluate the efficacy of hemodialysis on taste acuity and measured serum zinc concentrations to determine the relationship between taste acuity and zinc status in 21 patients undergoing hemodialysis. The results were as follows : 1) Mean taste recognition thresholds of sour(0.0034±0.0021 N), sweet(0.027±0.012 M), and salty(0.027±0.014 M) were significantly higher than those of controls(0.0012±0.0007 N, 0.016±0.008 M, and 0.015±0.008 M, respectively)(P$lt;0.05). 2)After hemodialysis, mean taste recognition thresholds of sour(0.0014±0.0011 N), sweet(0.015±0.011 M), and salty(0.020±0.011 M) were significantly decreased(P$lt;0.05) but were not different from those of controls. 3) The mean recognition threshold for bitter was not improved after hemodialysis and was not different fromcontrols. 4) The serum zinc concentration of patients with chronic renal failure was not different from that of controls. Finally, the mean taste recognition thresholds for sour, sweet, and salty were decreased in patients with end-stage renal disease and were improved after hemodialysis. The mean taste recognition threshold for bitter was not improved after hemodialysis and was not different from that of controls.
선형전동기를 적용한 LCD 패널 자동반송용 순환궤도차량 시스템 개발

The authors investigated an overhead shuttle (OHS) system for automatic transferring the liquid crystal display (LCD) panels. The constructed tracks of OHS system include the linear and curve regions and have been installed on the ceiling to transfer the cassette of LCD glass along the closed-loop and open-loop tracks. In this study, the OHS system was implemented by a proposed linear motor to solve encoder installation and the system cost problems of the long distance transfer system. In addition, we utilized a new algorithm of the position detection and a new control algorithm for driving linear motor. The newly developed control algorithm was demonstrated from both a computer simulation and an experimentation, indicating that the highly reliable and speedy transfer system can enhance the LCD panel productivity of commercial OHS system.
다점 온도 제어 장치의 power 공급율 조정을 위한 fuzzy-PWM제어

This research focuses onan efficient control method of temperature for multiple points using only one processor. For a yarn production system, the surface temperature control of heaters are very important for quality control. Therefore, we designed a temperature controller for a draw and twist machine and applied Fuzzy-PWM algorithm to the controller. If we use a processor for the temperature control of multiple points with the conventional ON/OFF control, the control performance of the system becomes poor. To overcome these problems, we developed a new Fuzzy-PWM algorithm for the adjustment of power rate to the heaters in the conventional ON/OFF control. It is shown that this algorithm has the same effects as the PID algorithm for the temperature control of each point. The proposed algorithm is robust against the production condition and environment such as the reference temperature and the thickness of yarn, since the power rate to the heater is adjusted by Fuzzy Rules derived from the values of the reference termperatureand the thickness of yarn. To obtain optimal Fuzzy rulees, the control simulations are perfodrmed through the modelling of the heater and simulation of Fuzzy rules. This algorithm is applied for the multiple pont temperature controller and showed satisfactory performance.
설계의 공리를 적용한 Stocker Robot의 Fork Base설계

Today, FPD manufactures are eager to develop larger and larger glass to become the prime market leader. To follow this need, larger AMHS(Automated Material Handling System) development is essential. The radical increase of glass/cassette weight puts a lot of pressure on stocker robot's dual arms, which can cause a damage of expensive glasses and contaminate a clean room facility. In this paper the axiomatic design method is used to institute a design guideline to evenly distribute a pressure throughout the stocker robot structure.

Rhino-orbital mucormycosis is a rare fungal infection that involves paranasal sinus and orbits and usually presented as acute invasive fungal sinusitis or orbital apex syndrome. It often occurs in patients with poorly controlled diabetes mellitus especially during or following episode of diabetic ketoacidosis. If the condition is not treated, the fungal infection may disseminated into the brain and death usually occurs in a day to week. Exenteration is often needed as a therapy. We have experienced a case of rhino-orbital mucormycosis that presented as a orbital apex syndrome and confirmed by maxillary and periorbital soft tissue biopsy. A 56-year-old female suffered from diabetes mellitus for 3 years was admitted with rapidly progressive visual acuity loss and left hemi-facial numbness. She was treated with daily intravenous amphotericin B and intraconal amphotericin B irrigation and packing. Exenteration was not neccisated. (J Kor Soc Endocrinol 13:677-683, 1998).
OHS 분기 시스템 적용을 위한 선형전동기에 관한 연구

본 논문은 LCD 생산라인의 물류 자동화 시스템 중 OHS(Over Head Shuttle)을 분기가 되도록 하여, 이송 효율을 높이고, 이송거리를 단축시키기 위한 선형 이송시스템에 적용이 가능한 영구자석 여자 횡자속 선형 전동기 개발에 관한 내용이다. 3차원 FEM 해석과 정특성 실험을 통해 전동기의 특성을 분석하여, 직선-곡선 레일과 분기 구간에서 이송 가능한 횡자속 선형전동기 추진모듈의 사양을 결정하고 시작품을 설계, 제작하여 OHS 시스템 등의 이송시스템에 적용 가능한지 그 타당성을 검토하였다.

태양광 모듈 제조 공정 중 핵심장비인 라미네이터 장비의 기술은 히터 표면 온도의 균일도, 진공도, 압력 제어기술 등을 조합하여 운용하는 기술이 필요하며, 사용자 측면에서 태양광 모듈은 고출력 및 대면적화 되는 추세이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 핵심기술을 적용한 라미네이션 장비를 설계, 제작하여 국산화하였으며, 또한, 태양광 모듈의 대면적화에 대응한 대면적(3, 600*2, 100[mm]) 히터 시스템의 설계, 제작, 실험을 통한 결과로 기동 온도 특성이 30분 이내에 목표 온도 지령치에 추종하였으며, 전체 표면온도 균일도에서도 표면온도 지령치에 대한 온도편차가 ±2[℃] 이내로 우수한 특성을 확인 알 수 있었다.
