가산성 주기정상성 잡음이 있을 때 Zero Forcing 기반에서의 송수신단 동시 최적화

In this paper, we consider a joint optimization of transmitter and receiver in additive cyclostationary noise with zero forcing criterion. We assume that the period of the cyclostationary noise is the same as the inverse of the symbol transmission rate and that the noise has a positive-definite autocorrelation function. The data sequence is modeled as a wide-sense stationary colored random process and the channel is modeled as a linear time-invariant system with a frequency selective impulse response. Under these assumptions and a constraint on the average power of the transmitted signal, we derive the optimum transmitter and receiver waveforms that jointly minimizes the mean square error with no intersymbol interference. The simulation results show that the proposed system has a better BER performance than the systems with receiver only optimization and the systems with no transmitter and receiver optimization. 가산성 주기정상성 잡음이 있을 때 zero forcing (ZF) 기반에서의 송수신단 동시 최적화를 고려한다. 주기정상성 잡음의 주기는 심볼 전송율의 역수라고 가정하고 자기 상관함수는 양의 정부호로 가정한다. 전송되는 데이터 수열은 광의의정상성(WSS: wide-sense stationary)을 가지는 유색 확률과정으로 모델링 하고 채널은 주파수 선택적 충격 응답을 가지는 선형 시불변 시스템으로 모델링 한다. ZF와 송신 전력 제약 아래 평균제곱오차 (MSE: mean square error)를 최소화하는 최적 송수신 파형을 유도하고 모의 실험 결과를 통해 수신파형만 최적화 한 경우와 가산성 주기정상성 잡음을 정상성 잡음으로 간주한 경우 보다 성능이 더 좋아짐을 보인다.

Although trigeminal schwannomas (TS) are rare tumors that may involve any parts of the trigeminal nerve, most of these tumors are located in the intracranium. Extracranial TS are extremely rare. Management of extracranial TS is challenging because of the anatomic complexity around the tumor. Therefore, thorough surgical planning should be required preoperatively for complete tumor removal with the least morbidities. We presented a 64-year-old man with a trigeminal mandibular schwannoma in the left infratemporal, parapharyngeal, pterygomandibular space and inferior alveolar canal of mandible. Extramedullary plasmacytoma (EMP) is a rare plasma cell neoplasm occurring anywhere in the body. Paranasal sinus is the most commonly involved site of head and neck region, and then nasal cavity, oropharynx on the decreasing frequency. EMP of larynx is quite rare and only two cases of EMP were reported to have occurred in the epiglottis and the false cord of larynx, respectively, in the Korean literature. We report an unusual case of EMP occurring in the arytenoid that was treated by surgical excision. (Korean J Otorhinolaryngol-Head Neck Surg 2008;51:574-6)

Malignant tumors of the external auditory canal (EAC) are very rare. Squamous cell carcinoma, adenoid cystic carcinoma and basal cell carcinoma on the decreasing frequency are the most common pathologic forms of EAC malignancy. Mucoepidermoid carcinoma (MEC) of the EAC is extremely rare. Only three cases of MEC occurring in EAC were reported to date in the English literature. 개선된 두경부암 등록 프로그램을 이용한효율적인 두경부암 환자의 관리

Background and Objectives:Registration programs of head and neck cancer (HNC) have been developed for better patient care and data acquisition. However, there is a lack of unified registration programs of HNC in Korea. We evaluated our new HNC registration program to help effective and systemic management of HNC patients in Chungnam National University Hospital. Method:A HNC registration program was developed by using a computer program of ‘Delphi’, based on patient’s demographics, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up status. This partly cited prior HNC or other cancer registration programs and focused on the specification of the HNC. Results:The program composed of registration, search, and printing forms. The registration form consists of basic epidemiologic data, previous treatment history, cancer status including primary sites, clinical and pathologic stages, treatment modality and follow-up results. The search form used a multiple selection format to enable the data interchangeable to the Excel program for effective use. The program helped to update patients current status, promptly select data for clinical studies of clinical cancers and better patient care. This program was simple, easy, convenient, time-saving for users and it included important HNC items. Conclusion:Although this program is still in its primitive stage, this will be an useful tool for the registrationand management of HNC patients. We suggest this program to be used nationwide to unify the registration of HNC patients and annual HNC reports, and increase cooperation among different centers. (Korean J Otolaryngol 2006;49:636-8)
엔터프라이즈 네트워크에서 패킷 지연시간을 최소화하는 공정 큐잉 알고리즘

오늘날 네트워크에서 다양한 애플리케이션의 서비스 성능을 저하시키는 불공정 큐잉 문제를 해결하기 위해 공정 큐잉 분야가 활발히 연구중이다. 그 중에서 DRR(Deficit Round Robin)은 작업 복잡도가 낮고 구현이 간단한 기법으로 매 라운드마다 각 큐에 대해 이전 라운드에서의 서비스 결손량을 포함한 서비스 할당량 SQ(Service Quantum)만큼을 서비스하도록 하여 다양한 트래픽들에 대해 정확한 공정성을 보장하는 기법이다. 그러나 엔터프라이스 네트워크 환경에서 최대 수 kbyte 이상의 패킷 사이즈를 가지는 서비스에 대해 불필요한 SQ 재설정 횟수 및 라운드 순회 횟수로 인한 지연시간 증가를 일으킨다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 DRR의 문제를 최소화하기 위해 SQ를 동적으로 설정하는 기법 및 패킷을 처리하는데 있어서의 작업 복잡도를 최소화하는 기법을 제안한다. 제안한 기법은 SQ의 동적 설정과 보다 단순한 패킷 처리로 인해 엔터프라이즈 네트워크 환경에서 다양한 애플리케이션들에 대한 지연시간을 최소화한다. Nowadays the fair queuing field is studied actively for solving the unfair queuing problem which degrades the service performance of various applications on network. Above all DRR is a scheme that has lower work complexity and can be implemented easily. It guarantees the fair service by serving each queue every round Service Quantum(SQ) that includes the service deficit of the previous round. But it increases the delay by the numbers of unnecessary resetting of SQ or round circulation for the service that have the packet size over maximum several kbyte. In this paper, We propose the method that sets SQ dynamically to minimize this problem and the method that minimizes the work complexity on processing of packet. The proposed scheme minimizes the delay on various applications in enterprise environment by setting SQ dynamically and processing the packet simply.
마우스 기도 알레르기 모델에서 interleukin-18의 투여가 알레르기반응에 미치는 영향

Background and Objectives:The imbalance betwen a Th1 response and a Th2 response may be one feature of allergic disea-ses pathophysiology. IL-18, originally caled the IFN-γ inducing factor, stimulates both Th1 and Th2 responses depending on cytokine milieu. The aim of this study was to investigate and compare the effect of intranasal and intraperitoneal administration of IL-18 in mice with experimentaly induced airway allergy. Materials and Method:Female BALB/c mice were systemically sensitized with ovalbumin mixed with aluminum hydroxide and were challenged with the intranasal instillation of ovalbumin. IL-18 was instilled to nasal cavities or injected into peritoneum acording to the experimental group. After provocation test, bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) was colected and IL-4, IL-5, IL-18 and IFN-γ were measured. The degree of eosinophil-ic infiltration were evaluated at the peribronchial region of the lung specimen. :The concentration of IL-4 and IL-5 within BALF and peribronchial infiltration of eosinophils were significantly suppressed in the groups treated with IL-18 than in the control group. The intranasal instillation of IL-18 supresed Th2 cytokines more effectively than the intraperitoneal in-jection. Conclusion:It is sugested that allergic inflamation can be supresed with the intranasal instillation of IL-18. (Ko-rean J Otorhinolaryngol-Head Neck Surg 2007 ;50 :996-1000)
