대학 조형교육에서 윤리적 교육의 필요성 및 제안

본 연구는 대학의 조형교육에서 윤리적 교육의 중요성 및 제안을 연구·분석하였다. 최근의 시민교육의 중요성의 대두와 함께 예술교육에서도 공동체 의식에 기반한 윤리적 교육의 필요성이 등장하였다. 근대이후의 조형교육이 심미성과 창의성에 기반한 미적 가치의 추구가 중요한 교육목표였다면, 오늘날은 이러한 가치와 함께 전 지구적인 차원의 현황에 기반한 ‘사람과 지구를 위한 교육’으로 전환되고 있는 추세이다. 특히 조형교육 영역에서 환경보호와 공익성을 추구하는 지속가능한 교육을 강조하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 조형교육을 통해 지속가능한 교육을 실천할 수 있는 하나의 방안으로 윤리적 교육의 현황 분석 및 제안을 연구하였다, 세부적으로 예술의 미적 가치와 도덕적 가치의 역사적 고찰, 대학의 윤리적 교육의 시대적 필요성, 조형교육 영역의 윤리적 교육 현황, 윤리적 교육 제안 등을 중심으로 구성하였다. 윤리적 교육 현황은 대학의 조형교육 관련 개설 교과목을 중심으로 연구하였으며, 윤리적 교육 제안은 국내·외 전문가들의 문헌 연구를 중심으로 연구·분석하였 다. 본 연구는 조형교육을 통한 세계시민의식의 함양과 함께 모두를 위한 지속가능한 교육을 실현할 수 있는 중요성을 제안 하였다는 측면에서 의의를 가진다. This research studied and analyzed the proposal and importance of ethical education in the formative arts education of college. With the recent rise of the importance of civic education, the necessity of ethical education based on community consciousness emerged in arts education. The pursuit of aesthetic values based on esthetics and creativity was an important educational goal in modern era s formative arts education, with these values, today s trend is shifting to education for people and the earth based on the global situation. In particular, it emphasizes sustainable education that pursues environmental protection and public interest in plastic arts education. The purpose of this study is to analyze the present situation of ethical education as a way to implement sustainable education through formative arts education. In detail, the contents of this research were composed of the historical consideration of the aesthetic and moral values of art, the necessity of ethical education, the ethical education situation in formative arts education, and the ethical education proposal. The ethical education curriculum focuses on the curriculums related to plastic arts education in universities. The ethical education proposals are studied and analyzed with reference to literature of domestic and foreign experts. This study has significance in terms of suggesting the importance of cultivating global citizen consciousness as well as realizing sustainable education for all through formative arts education in the future.

총체적 예술에 바탕을 둔 소니아 들로네 작품세계의 재조명

소니아 들로네는 20세기의 대표적인 여성예술가로 화가이자 동시에 현대적 개념의 디자이너이다. 그녀는 회화의 영역뿐만 아니라, 텍스타일디자인, 의상디자인, 시각디자인 등의 다양한 영역에서 활동한 총체적 예술, 퓨전적 시각의 대표적 예술세계를 지향한 예술가라 할 수 있다. 소니아 들로네는 그녀의 회화세계에 바탕을 두고 다양한 영역과 교류하며 작업을 하였다. 특히 그녀는 그림과 시의 만남에 바탕을 둔 광고와 일러스트레이션, 그림과 텍스타일, 패션디자인 등의 퓨전 연구를 바탕으로 전통적인 개념의 `순수예술`와 `응용미술`의 구별을 뛰어넘고 있다. 특히 소니아 들로네의 다양한 영역의 작품세계는 학제 간 연구에 바탕을 둔 대표적인 사례로 현대디자인 교육모델로 중요한 역할을 담당하고 있다. 다양한 예술 영역의 작업에 바탕을 둔 소니아 들로네의 작품세계의 재조명을 위한 본 연구의 주요내용은 1) 소니아 들로네의 작품세계의 조형적 특징, 2) 다양한 영역의 접목에 바탕을 둔 소니아 들로네의 작품세계 사례 연구, 3) 소니아 들로네의 작품 세계의 현대적 활용 가능성 등을 중심으로 구성한다. 본 연구의 범위 및 방법은 1910-41년의 작품세계를 중심으로 살펴 본 후 1941년 이후의 대표적 작품 세계를 부분적으로 연구, 분석한다. 왜냐하면 이 기간 동안 소니아 들로네는 그녀의 예술세계의 가장 대표적인 동시적 색채대비를 바탕으로 다양한 영역의 작품세계를 표현하고 있다. 소니아 들로네의 퓨전적 작품세계 사례 연구는 회화와 문학의 퓨전(광고, 그림-시), 응용미술(패션디자인)과 문학의 상호 연관성, 회화와 건축의 접목을 중심으로 한다. 소니아 들로네의 작품세계의 조형적 특징은 동시성, 동시성주의를 중심으로 연구하였다. 그녀의 작품세계를 칭하는 동시성, 동시성주의는 동시적 색채대비를 바탕으로 하여 다양한 작품세계의 정체성을 나타내는 상표의 역할을 하기도 한다. 또한 동시성, 동시성주의는 예술과 일상의 결합을 통하여 그녀의 다양한 예술 세계를 상징하는 대표적 용어이다. 소니아 들로네는 의식적으로 동시성, 동시성주의를 이즘(-ism)화 하여 그녀의 예술세계를 상징적으로 표현하고 있다 이와 같이 소니아 들로네는 전통적인 개념의 시공간의 개념을 초월하여 동시성을 그녀의 예술세계에 총체적 예술로 확대시킨다. 다양한 영역의 접목에 바탕을 둔 소니아 들로네의 작품세계 사례 연구에서는 그녀의 회화와 문학의 퓨전, 응용미술(패션디자인)과 문학의 상호 연관성, 회화와 건축의 접목을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 회화와 문학의 퓨전 연구는 그림세계와 문학세계를 상호 통합 시의 일러스트레이션을 사례로 살펴보았다. 퓨전, 응용미술(패션디자인)과 문학의 상호 연관성에서는 소니아 들로네는 텍스타일/패션디자인과 문학의 접목을 살펴보았다. 회화와 건축의 상호연관성에서는 1937년의 건축공간의 벽화제작을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 이러한 퓨전적 연구를 바탕으로 총체적 예술을 지향한 소니아 들로네 작품세계의 현대적 의미와 활용 가능성을 1) 현대 예술디자인교육에 학제 간, 퓨전적 연구를 위한 예술가의 역할 모델, 2) 20세기의 텍스타일과 패션디자인 영역에 절충적인 모던 디자인의 확산, 3) 기하학적인 형태, 강렬한 색채대비에 바탕을 둔 조형언어, 4) 조형예술의 영역에서 총체적 예술의 시각에서 연구하였다. 소니아 들로네를 자칫 20세기의 여성예술가로 생각할 수도 있지만, 본 연구를 바탕으로 21세기의 현대 조형교육에 총체적 예술을 시도한 예술가의 역할 모델로 제시할 수 있을 것이다. 특히 소니아 들로네의 장르를 초월한 다양한 영역에서의 학제 간, 퓨전적 작품세계는 현대디자인의 교육모델로 중요한 역할을 담당할 것이다. Sonia Delaunay is a representative female artist of the 20th century. Her artworks applied not only to paintings, but to textile, clothing and visual design, etc. That makes her an artist who pursued general art, interdisciplinary art in the fusion field. Sonia Delaunay attempted to work in various fields based on her artwork, and tried prosperous exchange amongst them. Especially her artworks such as the advertisement based on painting and poems, illustrations, paintings and fashion design cut across the distinction between fine arts and applied arts. Sonia`s artworks which are applied to various fields have enormous influence on contemporary design as an education model. The main contents of this research on Sonia Delaunay`s artwork based on various art fields are as follows: 1) research on plastic traits of Sonia Delaunay`s artwork, 2) research on certain types of Sonia Delaunay`s artworks which adopt various field, 3 the possibility of contemporary usage of Sonia Delaunay`s artwork. The range and method of this research is mainly focused on Sonia Delaunay`s artworks from 1910 to 1941. Artworks from 1941 will be partly researched and analyzed. Because during this period of time, she created various artworks using simultaneous color contrast which is the most representative method in the art field. The certain types of Sonia Delaunay`s artworks are mainly centered on the adaptation of paintings and literature(advertisement, painting-poem), the interrelations between applied art(fashion design) and literature and the adaptation of paintings and architecture. The formative characteristic of Sonia Delaunay`s artwork is researched focusing on simultaneity and Simultanism. Simultaneity and Simultanism, which indicate Sonia Delaunay`s artwork, are based on simultaneous color contrast to represent identities of varios artwork as their trademarks. Also, simultaneity and Simultanism are representative terms of her artwork by combining art and life. Sonia Delaunay symbolized her artistic character by making simultaneity to Simultanism intentionally. Sonia Delaunay thus expands her artwork to the general art with simultaneity taking no notice of time and space in the traditional concept. For the example research of Sonia Delaunay`s artwork which unites various fields, fusion research of Delaunay`s painting and literature, mutual relation between applied art(fashion design) and literature, and the combination of painting and architecture will be considered. In part of fusion research of painting and literature, the illustrations with the combination of painting and literature will be examined. For mutual relation between fusion, applied art(fashion design) and literature, the union of textile/fashion design and literature will be researched. For interrelation of painting and architecture, mural production in 1937 will be mainly considered. The comtemporary meaning and the possibility of usage of Sonia Delaunay`s artwork which pursued general art based on fusion works are researched under following view points; 1) The role model of artists for interdisciplinary and fusion research 2) the expansion of eclectic modern design through textile and fashion design field of 20C 3) plastic language based on symmetric forms and strong color contrast 4) in the view point of general art in the plastic arts field. Sonia Delaunay is apt to known as a female artist of 20C, however, Delaunay can be a role model for artists who tried to graft general art onto contemporary plastic arts education of 21C. Especially, Sonia Delaunay`s interdisciplinary and fusion artwork over various genres adopted to various fields will play a significant role for educational model of contemporary design.

프랑스 아르데코 양식의 그래픽포스터 표현특성 및 의미분석

아르데코 양식은 1925년 개최된 현대장식미술산업 국제박람회(Exposition International des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes)에서 유래하였다. 아르데코 양식은 직전 시대인 ‘벨 에포크(Belle Epoque: 아름다운 시대)’의 전통을 이어서 경제 · 사회 · 문화전반에 걸쳐서 풍요로운 프랑스 사회를 반영한 20세기 전반의 모던한 조형 표현 양식이다. 아르데코 용어는 국내에서 ‘장식미술’로 번역되어 사용되기 때문에 많은 사람들이 기능과 장식을 이분화하여 장식에 치중된 표현양식으로 간주하는 경향이 많다. 그러나 아르데코 양식은 건축, 실내인테리어, 공예, 패션, 일러스트레이션, 그래픽포스터 등 다양한 시각예술에서 표현되었다. 아르데코 양식은 벨 에포크시대의 화려한 표현 양식에 비하여 보다 단순화 · 기계화 · 현대화 된 표현 경향을 띄었다. 국내의 아르데코 양식에 대한 선행연구는 건축 · 실내인테리어, 패션 · 텍스타일, 가구 · 장신구, 화예 · 헤어디자인 등의 학위 및 학술논문이 있으나 그래픽디자인에 관한 연구는 전무하기 때문에 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구 목적은 20세기 전반 유럽의 기능주의적인 모던그래픽 스타일의 대세 속에서 프랑스의 아르데코 양식의 그래픽포스터의 장식적, 기능적인 특성을 사회문화적 맥락에서 연구 · 분석하였다. 연구의 범위는 아르데코 양식의 의미 및 사회문화현상, 아르데코 양식의 그래픽포스터의 대표작가와 표현양식, 아르데코 양식의 그래픽포스터의 특성 및 의미분석 등을 중심으로 연구 · 분석하였다. 세부적으로 아르데코 양식의 의미 및 사회문화현상에서는 아르데코 양식의 정의 및 의미, 사회현상, 예술의 표현 양식 등을 연구하였다. 특히 예술공예운동, 아르누보, 벨 에포크의 장식적, 화려한 표현 경향과 함께 큐비즘의 영향을 받은 기하학적 표현 양식의 양면적 시각에서 아르데코 양식의 그래픽포스터를 연구하였다. 대표작가와 표현 양식에서는 카상드르(Cassandre), 장 카를뤼(J. Carlu), 폴 콜랭(P. Colin) 등의 아르데코 양식의 그래픽디자인을 중심으로 연구하였다. 아르데코 양식의 그래픽디자인 연구에서는 장식성과 기능성의 다양한 표현 양식을 조형적으로 분석하였다. 그래픽포스터 특징 및 의미분석에서는 프랑스의 문화적 특성의 맥락에서 아르데코 양식의 상징적 측면을 조명하였다. 이러한 기능성과 장식성의 양면적인 아르데코 양식의 그래픽포스터 의미분석은 ‘에키보크(équivoque, 애매한)’의 개념을 중심으로 연구하였다. 본 연구는 문헌 연구를 중심으로 진행하였으며, 특히 아르데코 양식의 의미 및 사회문화현상은 프랑스 국립도서관과 파리장식미술관 웹 사이트의 문헌 및 전시자료, 프랑스학 관련 연구를 기반으로 연구하였다. 아르데코 양식 그래픽포스터의 특성 및 의미분석은 기호학적 연구를 바탕으로 하였다. 본 연구는 큐비즘의 영향이후 모던한 기하학적 표현에 기반 한 이태리의 미래주의, 러시아의 구축주의, 네덜란드의 신조형주의, 독일의 바우하우스의 그래픽 표현과는 다소 다른 프랑스의 그래픽포스터의 독특한 의미와 상징을 조명하였다. 아르데코 양식 그래픽포스터의 의미체계와 문화적 상징성을 연구 · 분석함으로써 프랑스 현대 그래픽디자인의 기능성과 장식성의 양가적 가치와 의미를 현대적으로 재해석하였다는 측면에서 연구의의가 있다. The Art Deco style originated from the Paris International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts held in 1925. Following the previous Belle Epoque(Beautiful Era) style, Art Deco style is a modern formative style of the first half of 20th century that reflects the flourished French society across the economy, society, and culture. Since the word Art Deco is translated and used in Korea as “decorative art”, many people tended to consider it a style of expression focused on decoration by dividing function and decoration. However, the Art Deco style was expressed in various visual arts such as architecture, interior design, crafts, fashion, illustration, and graphic posters, etc. Art Deco style tended to be more simplified, mechanized, and modernized compared to the splendid expression of the Belle Epoque style. Previous researches on Art Deco style in Korea includes thesis and academic papers such as architecture/interior design, fashion/textile design, furniture/accessories design, flower art/hair design, etc. However, there is no research on graphic design, so research is needed. The purpose of this study was analyzed on the decorative and functional characteristics of French Art Deco style graphic posters in a socio-cultural context amid the popularity of European functionalist modern graphic styles in the first half of the 20th century. The scope of the study was researched on the meaning and social and cultural phenomena of the Art Deco style, the representative artists and expression styles of Art deco style graphic posters, and analysis of the characteristics and semantics of Art Deco style graphic posters. In the meaning of art deco style and social and cultural phenomena, the definition and meaning of art deco style, social phenomena, and art expression styles were studied in detail. In particular, the art deco style graphic posters were studied from the two-sided perspective of the geometric expression style influenced by Cubism, along with the decorative and colorful expression trends of the Arts and Crafts movement, Art Nouveau, and Belle Epoque. Representative artists and styles of expression include Cassandre, J. Carlu, P. Colin, etc. In the study of graphic design in Art Deco style, various expression styles of decoration and functionality were analyzed in a formative analysis. Graphical poster features and semantic analysis were illuminated the symbolic aspects of the Art Deco style in the context of French cultural characteristics. The analysis of the meaning of the graphic poster in the Art Deco style, which is both functional and decorative, was studied focusing on the concept of ‘équivoque’. This study was conducted mainly on literature research, and in particular, the meaning of Art Deco style and sociocultural phenomena were studied based on French literature and literature and exhibits on the websites of the National Library of France and the Paris Art Deco Museum. The analysis of the characteristics and meaning of Art Deco graphic posters was based on semiotic studies. This study highlighted the unique meanings and symbols of French graphic posters, which are somewhat different from Italian Futurism, Russian Constructivism, Dutch Neo-plasticism, and German Bauhaus graphic expressions based on modern geometric representations after the influence of Cubism. The study is meaningful in that it reinterprets the ambivalent value and meaning of the functionality and decorativeness of modern French graphic design in a modern way by researching the meaning system and cultural symbol of the Art Deco graphic poster.

프랙탈 기하학을 활용한 현대조형예술의 표현 가능성에 관한 연구

본 연구 목적은 자연·예술·디자인 영역에서 활용된 프랙탈 기하학의 사례연구를 바탕으로 현대조형예술에서 프랙탈 기하학의 활용 가능성을 제시하고자 한다. 프랙탈 기하학은 프랙탈의 성질을 연구하는 수학의 한 분야로 오늘날 과학·공학·컴퓨터예술 등에 활발하게 적용되고 있다. 프랙탈(Fractal)이라는 용어는 1975년 수학자 만델브로트(Benoit B. Mandelbrot) 가 처음으로 사용하였다. 구름·산·번개·난류·해안선·나뭇가지 등의 자연계에서 자주 발견되는 프랙탈 기하학은 예술의 영역에서 새로운 조형패턴 표현의 가능성을 제시하고 있다. 조형예술 영역에서 프랙탈 기하학에 근거한 연구는 예술과 수학의 연관성, 학제간 연구에 바탕을 두고 있다. 본 연구는 다음과 같이 구성되어 있다. 첫째, 이론적 배경으로 프랙탈 기하학의 형태 특성 및 원리를 연구하며, 둘째 프랙탈 기하학을 활용한 현대예술과 디자인의 사례연구를 한다. 셋째, 프랙탈 기하학을 활용한 현대예술의 다양한 표현 가능성을 연구한다. 프랙탈의 기하학을 적용한 많은 조형예술 작품들의 사례연구를 바탕으로 다양한 표현 가능성을 기대할수 있다. 특히 21세기의 뉴미디어인 컴퓨터의 표현을 통하여 프랙탈 기하학은 디지털 아트(Digital Art)로서의 ``프랙탈 아트(Fractal Art)``라는 새로운 예술영역을 탄생시켰다. 프랙탈 기하학을 활용한 조형예술 영역의 다양한 표현 가능성에 관한 본 연구는 디지털 시대의 "과학의 예술, 예술의 과학"이란 측면의 예술과 수학의 학제간 연구의 중요성을 강조한다. 왜냐하면 프랙탈 기하학은 수학과 예술에서 가장 대표적인 양식이기 때문이다. 궁극적으로 예술·디자인영역에서 프랙탈 기하학을 활용한 표현은 창의적 사고를 위한 예술가의 능력을 향상시키고 아이디어 발상을 위하여 매우 중요하다. The purpose of this study is to suggest the applicability of fractal geometry in modern formative arts through case studies on fractal geometry practiced in the field of nature, arts, and design. Fractal geometry, a branch of mathematics which studies the nature of fractal, is being actively applied in science, engineering, computer art, and so on. The term fractal was first used in 1975 by a French mathematician Benoit B. Mandelbrot. It further gives representable formative patterns in the realm of art, often found in nature such as clouds, mountains, lightning, turbulence, coastlines, branches, etc. The study of fractal geometry in plastic art is based on the interdisciplinary research between art and mathematics. This study is organized as follows: ① characteristics and principles of fractal geometry within its theoretical background, ② case studies on fractal geometry in art and design, ③ diverse expressional applicability of modern art through fractal geometry. Through case study on formative artworks with its fractal geometry applied, possibility on various ways of expressions can be expected. Particularly, with the advent of computer utilization in the 21st century, fractal geometry has created a new area of fractal art as a form of digital art. This study on various expressional ways of plastic art through fractal geometry puts emphasis on the importance of art-and-math interdisciplinary research in the aspects of art of science and the science of art in the digital age; and fractal geometry continues to be one of the representative patterns in mathematics and art. Ultimately, fractal geometry in art and design has its significance for its potential improvement of creative thinking, as well as development of training system of idea conception of artists.
