Knotting of a pulmonary artery catheter (PAC) is a rare, but well-known complication of pulmonary artery (PA) catheterization. We report a case of a double-knotted PAC with a large loop in a patient with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) undergoing liver transplantation, which has been rarely reported in the literature. A PAC was advanced under pressure wave form guidance. PAC insertion was repeatedly attempted and the PAC was inserted 80 cm deep even though PAC should be normally inserted 45 to 55 cm deep. However, since no wave change was observed, we began deflating and pulling the balloon. At the 30-cm mark, the PAC could no longer be pulled. Fluoroscopy confirmed knotting of the PAC after surgery (The loop-formed PAC was shown in right internal jugular vein); thus, it was removed. For safe PA catheterization, deep insertion or repeated attempts should be avoided when the catheter cannot be easily inserted into the pulmonary artery. If possible, the insertion of PACs can be performed more safely by monitoring the movement of the catheter under fluoroscopy or transesophageal echocardiography.

본 논문에서는, 오류가 발생되어 심각한 피해와 문제의 우려가 있는 하드웨어에 대한 안정성 및 신뢰성을 높이기 위해 PC 에서 LabVIEW를 이용한 디지털 하드웨어 검증 방법을 제시한다. 검증 방법은 PC 에 디지털 I/O 카드를 연결하여 대상 하드웨어 시스템에 소프트웨어 및 하드웨어 방법으로 신호를 입 력할 수 있으며, 결함을 생성하여 입력할 수도 있다. 그리고 대상 하드웨어 시스템에서 출력되는 신호를 디지털 웨이브폼 그래프로 모니터링이 가능하도록 구현하여 입력 신호에 따른 출력 선호를 비교하여 신뢰 성을 평가할 수 있다. 이 검증 방법을 이용하여 원자력 발전소 시스템 계통장치의 FPGA 펌웨어를 테스 트 및 검증하였으며, 소프트웨어 방법과 실장테스트 방법에서의 문제점을 해결하여 신뢰성 있는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

The measure of motor speed using encoder is difficult to detect accurate speed and direction in very low speed because the intervals between an encoder pulse and pulse are long. So various speed estimation techniques were proposed to have the good dynamic performance in low speed. And direction detection is so important as speed measurement in very low speed. But because the conventional direction detection circuit check the direction only 1 time in 1 period of each encoder pulses, so it has long delayed detection time in very low speed, thus accurate detection of direction is difficult. In this paper, we propose a 2 way edge det~tion method which can detect at the rising and falling edge of each encoder pulses. So it can check the direction 4 times in I period of each encoder pulses. Therefore if we use proposed method, we can reduce the detection time as 1/4 than that of conventional circuit and can detect more accurate speed and direction. And computer simulation and experiment is performed to verify the perfomance and effect of proposed circuit and we analyze it's results by comparing with that of conventional circuit.
