This study is both for extracting problems of technical high school curriculum by analyzing a questionnaire which was returned from teachers of mechanical course and employees in mechanical related job, and for preparing a method of curriculum improvement in order to accomplish the industrial education required from industrial field. The analyzed result from research are as follows : First, in theoretical area it is preferable that the completion unit of Mechanical general, Electrical general, Metal plate and welding must be leveled up since many schools choose and Industrial English and Mold design must be completed over fou units since no school chooses. Second, it is required to level up Industrial introduction, Mechanical design, Mechanical construction, Mechanical general, Mechanical materials in case of teaching-leaning process in order to increase theoretical level of students and to appropriately reorganize text books so that contents of books can fit to studen level, Electronic computing general must be educated to match into the application field of industry. Third, the budget for purchasing machine supplies for practices including a precision measurement must be supported for training practice area. It is required to reduce machine supplies training that each school owns in public practice room and to strengthen education for CAM, Hydraulics -Pneumatics PLC. Fourth, in order to improve the on-the-job training it is required that forming relationship between school and corporation must be mandatory, practice facilities in companies must be mandatory and to strengthen the understanding o educational-industrial cooperation. In addition, actual details applied to industries must be put into text books and it is required to actively study on effective operation o public practice room for education of the ultramodern technologies. And in order to reduce the gap between industry and school in both knowledge and technology, it is preferable to consider a field experience as mandatory criteria in case of hiring technical high school teacher. In last, even if this study is meaningful to guide a direction to skilled worke education who has actual level required from industrial field, however it is required to have more in-depth study and more information in future in order to change actual policy.
In order to investigate the current status of technical training in technical high schools, the relationships among field training, employment, the 2nd class national technical qualification certificate and others were examined in this research. A questionnaire was carefully designed to obtain the raw data. Through statistical analysis, we obtained the following conclusions which could be useful in improving the level of technical training. First, the technical training and instruction in technical high school should be diversified and be systematized in order to cultivate a number of elite required in the coming-up information oriented industrial society. Second, due to poor working conditions, most of the graduates tend to change their first job and find another one through retraining. Therefore, it is essential to guarantee the lifelong employment. Furthermore, retraining program as a continuing education for graduates should also be established. Third, in order to utilize the current experience of employment guidance efficiently, database system should be established. Fourth, the importance of technical education can be ranked as a order of training equipment and facilities, ability of the teachers, and the ability of the students. But sincerity of the students is critical for employment. Skill and good health is also required for employment. Therefore, the teachers should emphasize a sincere, sound, and desirable humanness through the education of human nature. As a conclusion, in an information age, the government should invest on the education of technical high schools which take an important role in bringing up the technicians for the industries where they are needed.
The problems and difficulties encountered in implementing the ISO 9000 series in Korea have been analyzed in this paper. A lot of companies are currently rushing to apply for ISO 9000 registration. Their principal motive is to sharpen their international and domestic competitive edge by improving their QM systems. In industry itself, there are many problems associated with the assessment and implementation. The major problems are from lack of understanding, cooperation of top or related management, and/or difficulties of documentation especially in small businesses. From this study, the effective and efficient methods for the ISO 9000 registration and surveillance are proposed.
