Fluidic valve is adopted in APR1400 to control passively the flow rate of cooling water from the safety injection tank. It is necessary to establish independent evaluation guideline for the flow characteristics of fluidic valve in order to secure safety. Three dimensional numerical model for fluidic valve is developed and numerical results are compared with experimental data obtained at KAERI in order to verify numerical simulation. Also influence of the grid number and the turbulence model were investigated. In addition, variation of flow rate is investigated at various elapsed times after valve operating, and flow characteristics are analyzed at low and high flow rate conditions, respectively.
경사진 평판에서의 국소물질전달 특성에 관한 실험적 연구

본 연구의 목적은 평행 평판과 경사진 평판의 물질전달 특성을 비교하여 경사각에 따른 유동의 박리와 재부착이 물질전달에 미치는 영향을 규명하는 것이다. 나프탈렌승화법을 사용하여 평판에서의 국소물질전달계수를 측정하였으며, 평균물질전달계수는 주어진 측정면에 대하여 국소물질전달계수를 평균하여 구하였다. 평판의 경사각은 10°에서 -10°까지 5°간격으로 변화시켰으며 유동 속도는 2㎧에서 15㎧까지 변화시켰다. 양의 각으로 경사진 평판에서 국소 Sherwood 수는 경계층이 발달하면서 감소하는 경향을 보이고 있는며, 음의 각으로 경사진 평판의 경우는 재순환 와류의 박리점에서 최소값을 나타내고, 박리된 유동의 재부착점에서 최대값을 나타내었다. 평균 Sherwood 수는 음의 각과 양의 각 모두 평행 평판보다 낮았다. The purpose of this research is to investigate how the separated and reattached flow affect the mass transfer by comparing local mass transfer characteristics from the inclined flat plate with that of the parallel flat plate. The local mass transfer coefficients on the flat plate were measured using naphthalene sublimation technique, and the average mass transfer coefficients were calculated by averaging the local mass transfer coefficients on the measurement surface. Inclined angle of the flat plate was varied from -10° to 10° with 5° intervals, and the free-stream velocity was varied from 2㎧ to 15㎧. In case of the positive inclined angle, local Sherwood numbers decrease gradually because boundary layer thickness increases. On the other hand, the minimum value at the separation point of the recirculated flow and the maximum value at the reattachment point are observed for the negative inclined angle. Average Sherwood numbers for both positive and negative angle are lower than those of the parallel plate.
차량용 에어컨 압축기가 실차 연비에 미치는 영향에 관한 실험적 연구

본 논문은 차량용 에어컨 압축기가 실차 연비에 미치는 영향에 대하여 실험적으로 연구한 것으로, 본 연구의 목적은 연비에 주요한 영향 인자인 압축기의 토출 용량별 구동 토크에 의한 실차 연비 기여도를 분석하는 것이다. 연비에 직접적인 영향을 주는 압축기의 부하를 측정하기 위하여 압축기 클러치에 직접 부착하는 토크 센서를 개발하였으며, 실차 평가전 벤치 토크 미터와의 비교 평가를 통하여 토크 센서의 신뢰성을 검증하였다. 토크 센서가 부착된 압축기를 장착한 차량을 환경 풍동에서 연비 측정을 할 수 있도록 장치를 구성한 상태에서 연비 평가를 수행하였다. 압축기의 토출 용량에 따른 구동 토크는 연비에 직접적인 영향을 주며, 동일 사양 압축기에서 토출 용량이 약 11% 커질 때 연비는 약 2~3% 악화됨을 알 수 있었다. In this study, the effects of the compressor for the air conditioning system on the fuel economy were experimentally investigated in an actual automobile. This study aims to analyze the level of contribution of the driving torque of the compressor to the fuel economy. A torque sensor, which is directly set on the clutch of the compressor, is developed to obtain data about the compressor load, which influences the fuel efficiency, and then, the reliability of the torque sensor is verified by comparing the results with those of a torque meter in a bench test. An actual automobile equipped with the compressor and torque sensor is operated in a climate wind tunnel in which appropriate facilities are set up to evaluate the fuel efficiency. The compressor driving torque resulting from the difference in the compressor displacement is found to influence the fuel economy, and the fuel economy is found to be worsened by up to 2~3% with an around 11% increase in the compressor displacement under the same conditions.

Swash plate type compressors in car air conditioning system for displacement of various kinds are being developed. In this study, performance evaluation were conducted under the same conditions for various number of cylinders of the compressors. Cooling capacity, power, and COP were compared. Performance and power was increased with increasing displacement. However COP was equivalence among the tested compressors. In the same displacement of the compressor have the best performance of five-cylinder, six-cylinder compressor was the best COP. Through this experiment, the development characteristics of the compressors by the time could be found, the most recently developed six-cylinder compressor COP was best than the others. Finally, the investigation of compressor performance characteristics conducted and meet the design criteria.

The use of cooling towers in the air conditioning systems of buildings is increasing. In closed wet cooling towers, the heat transfer between the air and surface tubes can be composed of the sensible heat transfer and the latent heat transfer. The latent heat transfer is affected by the air and spray water. This study provides a designing methodology of heat exchanger for closed wet cooling tower. The correlation equation was derived to interpret the mass transfer coefficient based on the analogy of the heat and mass transfer and the experimental results. The results from this correlation equation showed fairly good agreement with experimental data.
