지방의제21에 대한 도시정부의 대응행태 : 서울시와 외국도시와의 비교

The last decade witnesserd a rapid growth of international trend for global on-vironmental conservation. This article deals with a core subject of 「The Inter-national Environmental Conference」 which is titled by "cities and sustainable do-velopment", and held in Manchester, England, June, 1994. Specifically, the study focus is given to introduce "Local Agenda 21" in several local governments in foreign countries as well as some tasks in Seoul Metropolitan Government for Preparing the agenda. One of the main tasks in the "Local Agenda 21 in Seoul" should include nature-intimacies and metabolic urbanenvironments for sustainable urban developments. It is also suggested that a reorganization of present socio-economic /public administration structures is neceaary to adapt and achieve environenintally sound and sustainable develop-ment as a goal of the city's environmental policies.
